He told her it was a bad idea and that her mother used to have ideas like that, and they always came out like shit." She wanted to prove him wrong. Girl, you need to add a a small wood burning stove for the winter months!! Then you could winterize the screening with plastic sheathing on three sides, minus the side with the doorway, and use that outdoor year round! ♥️ You could also add outdoor curtains to railings so that you could close them over in inclement weather to keep the rain out! Or use them to block the blazing sun on the hottest days! So many possibilities!! ♥️

Stephi, you need to get some radiant barrier and install it over your fiberglass insulation. It will drastically reduce your heating and cooling bill in your home. It's essentially a heavy duty plastic coated aluminum foil with holes poked in it to allow your house to breathe. It keeps the insulation from gaining heat in the summer and radiating it all day long into your house and in the winter it reflects heat back down into your living area versus allowing it to escape into your attic. There's videos on RU-vid that show why it's good just search Radiant Barrier for attics. You definitely need to get your attic cleaned out of all of that old insulation. It could contain asbestos more than likely. You need to get them to remove it and either install rockwool insulation or expanding foam.
Who wouldn't want to call that home? I would be sleeping on that porch every chance I could. I love day naps. I LOVE it! You did a fantastic job and you made it seem like it just flowed almost as if you channeled it! Enjoy beautiful lady!

Now that is Awesome!..it really came out amazing . I think now all you need is to Install some outdoor pull down roll shades ..so if a storm comes at least minimal water will get in and it can block the wind and give privacy too..but if a big storm comes..them you will need to cover everything with a plastic drop cloth or simply bring it inside.
