It's okay to do a video every two weeks instead of every week: you need to always put your health and well-being first. The people who do it every week either have a much more basic video style (like simply sitting in front of the camera and talking) or they probably have help to edit, etc. I agree that the fan blades didn't match the aesthetic - good choice to paint them! I also like that you left the dresser and the armoire in their wooden stain color because I think it balances out all the dark paint. It certainly looks like a room conducive to good sleep.

I'm 60 and my whole life I decorated as I thought was expected.... I'm not going to do that in my retirement house. You have inspired me to decorate to please me. Hobbit bedroom here we come.

Very cool. And maybe instead of black paint the fan blades gold, so that when it’s on, it looks like a planet or something. With some round globes for the lights to blend in with the celestial theme.😊

Maybe just dry brush the blades with gold? That way the pretty sculpt of the fans will be visible and add more lines to the ceiling design

I was thinking the same thing; although I’d just do some gold details on there; but that personal preference, cause the whole thing in gold would be to much for me; but some gold details might make it more interesting and connected to the ceiling theme

I was thinking that painting the leaf veins of the fan blades gold, fading it at the edges so there’s no harsh lines So many great ideas here!

I celebrated paying off my mortgage by applying glow in the dark stars and unicorns all over the house. Age is mandatory, maturity, not so much. I did once have a glow in the dark paint kit that was for ceilings and had a full on star map to use, but I ended up painting something else with it.

This specific style reminds me of Whimsigoth! Literally, Whimsical goth. It's got a big astronomy vibe and has elements of dark academia! I'm no expert on the style, but It is one I love and this really reminds me of it :D

Makes me want to build/obtain an astrolabe nightlight for myself, with rotating concentric rings and all, in addition to the glowing star charts and all. And the book shelves made of books! This turned out beautifully! Just enough detail to be restfully engaging, it looks so cosy 💜 Honestly, I don't think many maker channels can sustain a video every week. It's a relentless pace and I can't imagine how much more stressful it is when something goes wrong in your project if you've got the pressure of a tight filming schedule. You're the writer, host, director, producer, editor, and a dozen other hats. I think most people would rather see a schedule that's sustainable for the channel, whether that's weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or something else. We want to see a happy potato 🥔😁

Came here to say the same, most if not all the maker/renovater channels I subscribe to are biweekly. Making a physical project to such a high standard every week is just not sustainable in the long run 💜

When my boys were little we surprised them by decorating their ceilings with glow in the dark stars in constellations. They loved it!

It's so so beautiful! You can really tell how much effort you put in, and I love how the elements all tie together. I asked for star stickers for my ceiling for Christmas because I used to have them when I was very young, and I'm so inspired by this to start that project. I love this video, and I hope that you are feeling better soon - we can always wait if you need time to recover from burnout - we would much rather you are well than push yourself when you don't feel happy to do so ❤

I actually think the fan really does match the theme. As soon as I saw it, I thought it looked like a propeller or rudder from a steampunk space ship, a la Treasure Planet. Painting it black was a good choice, though. Those glow stars are the best! I still stop and stare when I turn off the lights in my sons' room. ❤️

I love this idea! I need to show my friend, she has wanted a star ceiling for a long time! A tip: next time you have to drill into a wall, fold a post-it note and place it under where you will begin drilling. The paper should be in an L shape, and will catch the dust so you don't gave to clean it off of other surfaces.

Just fantastic! I remember having glow in the dark stars all over my room when I was in college, and just having that detail in my room made sleeping time feel a bit magical. This is like that on megical steroids.

this is my exact aesthetic im going for in my house. i painted my living room blue and have wanted stars on the walls (after many failed attempts with various paints.) i cant believe i never thought of stickers! i tell my husband all the time that i want our home to look like a wizards tower. i'm so glad youtube recommended you!

I love the room, the perfect shades for sleeping for sure. Keep strong and don’t over do it as you say one a week is a lot of filming and a lot of editing, so if every other week is going to help you then do it, at the end of the day we love your bubbly fun approach to all your projects and that is fave more important than trying to get things done for each week.🤗❤️

I love this so much! It's so fabulous and dreamy! (and even if some people don't love it wouldn't you rather live in a space that you *adore* rather than a house that's generic enough that people don't have opinions? 😂) And potatoes are delicious, if you want to say you're dressing like a potato I will have to remind you of all the delighful things french cuisine has done to them . . . drooling at the thought of potatoes dauphinoise, aligot, gratin, tartiflette . . . yummmmm. If you're going to be a potato being a french potato is an excellent choice :D

It's so breathtakingly wonderful! I am Team Rest and Recharge! Some folks can produce weekly, but, artwork that takes scores, possibly hundreds of hours and focused details, plus, all that editing and other production stuff; the thought of it makes me want to huddle with a second pot of tea😑. I may not succeed at genuine empathy, but, I enjoy watching your creative process, and will gladly watch your videos, regardless of frequency.

For the wall I would make it look like the books are transforming towards the ceiling. Further above they open up and in the end it’s just some of their pages with golden letters that fly towards the stars. You could even hang some from the ceiling

Return of the cleanup journal! I love this new take on it. The play dough idea is interesting. Have you ever tried taking a mould with the air dry play dough? It’s wonderful for saving patterns you really like from items that you don’t actually have around your house, like tree bark, paving stones and other stuff.

Im only two and a half minutes in and Im already so in love with this!!! Mainly because my husband and I JUST renovated what we decided will be our library in a celestial theme too and let me tell you: I was THRILLED when RU-vid recommended this video to me bc it means we're not the only ones with this idea!! Painting the golden stars on the ceiling was the worst part, but its so worth it!! I hope you love it as much as we love our room too!!

The ceiling is celestial spectacular. The labor involved literally (inner ear issues) makes me dizzy! The stars on the wardrobe was a great tie-in idea.
