No matter how hard I try, I always get irritation on the third pass on the neck when I go against the grain. I use a Wilkinson Sword Classic(the black one, the first version), a 24mm knot Maggard synthetic shaving brush, Proraso shaving soap and an aftershave balm. Anyone else who has irritation after the ATG pass? Could use some advice.

My advice - stop shaving against the grain, shave twice with the grain instead. Also, there are better blades you can use, Personna, Astra, Voskhod and Gillette Silver Blue. Thanks for watching. Brian+

How 🤔 much are the blades compared to safety razor blades

The blades are more expensive to buy than safety razor blades but we find that these blades last much longer. We recommend about 4-5 shaves max from a safety razor blade but the Feather ProGuard can give you between 15 & 20 good shaves.

@@greenerick how do you know its better if you have not tried it? I have the thorn single edge but am also waiting for Brian to send me my claymore I have on order. Executive shaving products are fantastic. The outlaw de razor is a great de razor and all their shave creams are top notch as well. Executive shaving customer service is excellent. leaf products are also great and customer service is brilliant as well but unless you have bought both the claymore evolution and the the twig/thorn I don't think you can say what one is better. in wet shaving there is no such thing as better, you just have to find what works best for you and your skin and beard type.

But the claymore uses blades that will last twice as long as de blades so evens itself out. And nobody who has got into wet shaving saves money. Posting a comment saying a razor is better then another one without having tried either of them makes no sense. Maybe buy both razors and post a comparison video and then explain why one razor works better for you then the other. 👍
