I switch cursors quite a lot, recently I've been using a custom butterfly cursor I made myself. But you might be asking about the one I used in the video, which is a mix blend of... normal.cur is fireemblem.fandom.com/wiki/Wind_Edge link.cur is fireemblem.fandom.com/wiki/Brave_Sword (Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn one I assume, if not, it's Path of Radiance one) You can use some online tools to convert a cursor from .png to .cur - Edit: You have to also rotate it in Photoshop, Medibang Pro, etc. (some program that supports transparent PNG files) For the beam.cur & others, I am not sure which one I used since I don't have access to the mix blend I had since I have a new installation of Windows, but you should be able to find something that fits by searching "cursor" from DeviantArt. Simpler Dark should work with almost everything for example.
Hi, I need help with something unrelated to this but related to the HUD and you might be able to help. So when I pick up items there is a list of items picked up, but the item at the bottom of the list is cut off and not fully displayed. This is apparently a known issue for EP2 but I'm having it in the original HL2 game. I am on MMod Half-Life 2 Update if that matters, along with the patch++ that makes HL2 Update use the newest source build as of 2023 etc. There is a fix mod for this cut off issue for EP2 but inserting that in the custom folder for the original game makes it crash and putting the EP2 HUDlayout.res where it belongs in the original game also makes it crash, just some stuff I tried. I talked to the guy that made the EP2 fix but he said he has never heard of OG HL2 doing this, but I've had it in vanilla since 2004 so it's not my mods etc, he hasn't replied yet but I'm asking you as well in case. I thought this was a normal thing in the game, only now realised it's a HUD bug some people have randomly and thought maybe you know the answer. Some say it's the HUD not being at a proper resolution or aspect ratio, but I messed with the number values in HUDlayout.res but nothing changes in game and changing the aspect ratio for the game and HUD is impossible as if I press apply it instantly changes to 16:9 so... what to do? 😅 So basically just some elements get cut off in the HUD, like the items picked up at the bottom of the list and if I disable the AI the watermark only says "A.I. Disa" instead of the full text. Again, I don't know if you know the fix, but I'm asking in case. :P
The ai_disable message cuts out for almost everyone, as for the rest I have no idea, I'll show your comment in my Discord that has some people with knowledge with hl2 mods and modding in general so they *might* know a fix but seems troublesome.
@@LyrenMeow Oki thanks a billion man, keep me posted. 🙏 Honestly it doesn't bother me that much, on the verge of calling it quits as I've been modding and troubleshooting for the past month and this was the LAST issue I couldn't figure out, so if they don't know a fix I'm just going to let this one slide and be happy with the 347 mods or however many it last was that I got working together. 😅👍
I tried to find that from the files, and I didn't find a way to do it just by editing the text files. You need to ask that from SourceRuns or Valve Modding Community.
Hmm you can try to do the exact same as in the video, I don't see why it wouldn't work. If it doesn't work, you can ask SourceRuns Discord ( #source-help ) otherwise.
In the video, I am using a version called "Ghosting", and this file is there by default. It might be there as default with Source Unpack as well but I am unsure.
One Question How Do I Remove The Weird Yellow Thing I Know This Has Nothing To Do With The Hud So Wait nvm its called quickinfo i know how to remove it now

@@purobaudelaire As you can see from the video, just changing the hud color changes that as well. I can't really find a setting to specifically change only the crosshair's color though.
