thank you for sharing and creating this video! this and all the other DJI Osmo Pocket 2 videos you made was really helpful in getting to know this device and learning all the things I need to learn to be able to use it for content creation!
Great review Will this marvellous camera work as well with a Samsung a51? I use my gopro 8 with it and it's perfect. That following me , with the Dji got me!
Very good video thank you. All along I was trying to connect via Bluetooth, and realised it should be does Wireless. (I also did not know you use the same Mimo app.) Where does the Bluetooth come in? Because you mentioned to turn on Both Wireless and Bluetooth on the phone. And it seems to work even if I turn off Bluetooth on the phone (I can see the DJI on the phone as a Bluetooth device but am unable to pair anyway). Thank you.
Also after I made this video I did an experiment to see what the difference is with and without a Bluetooth connection. I realized that without Bluetooth I couldn't monitor the microphone pickup of the DJI Pocket using a headphone plugged into my iPhone. Later I heard DJI fixed this on their new firmware update.
Hi, great contents. I recently bought the Dji 2 kit and I’m a complete novice. Never own anything like that before. I was wondering when would you use the Dji in this instance when you’re using your phone.? Can I use it this way to record , let’s say a behind the screen clip to record my model during a photo shoot? And where should I place the Dji like how far away in term of distance to be able to do? Please bear with me I may not know what I’m talking about. But asking I will learn of course. Thanks.
Hi, no problem, we all had to learn these things so don't worry no one knows everything and don't be shy to ask questions. So the distance between the phone and the actual DJI Pocket 2 can't be any more than 20 feet in the line of sight. It does not work through walls. I also have a complete Tutorial video for this here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XxoTDx0AiBE.html
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Thank you so much. Really appreciate that. I will definitely watch that next video. And I will definitely have more questions that will arise in the future. Will that be ok for me to ask you for answers ? Thanks again.
@@nasroullahdinally5140 Absolutely you can ask as many questions as possible, however keep in mind that I am a busy mans so I might now be able to reply right away, but I will reply within a day or two.
Unfortunately you can only go Live using WiFi and you can't connect it directly as an HDMI source to a PC. However people have rigged it by capturing the Live stream WiFi Signal and convert it to an HDMI Output. I don't know how reliable it is but here is the link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Txen9A8CIpI.html
Hello sir, great video! I wanted to ask if you can record on the app while it is in the background or even if the phone screen is off? So if you need to check your iPhone messages does the footage stop recording if you switch apps on your iPhone? Thanks
No problem, The answer is No, and Yes. You cannot record the images and videos to your phone it will only record to the Micro SD card inside the Camera. Although on a DJI Drone you could record on your phone too. However if you press the Play Icon at the bottom right corner of your phone in Mimo app, you can download all your photos or videos from the DJI Pocket 2 to your phone memory. The answer to your 2nd Question is YES. You can press the record on the DJI Mimo app, then go to other apps, brows your photos etc. and wen you return to the Mimo App you will see that the recording was still in progress and was not interfered by your other apps.
This is incredible. There is not a detailed video that explains the process of using the phone as an external display. I bought the pocket 2 without the creator combo and now I am going to exchange it because I have to remove my iPhone case in order to connect it. It's incredibly annoying and I also get the best wireless mic on the market and the joystick. You would pay over 50 dollars more if you were to try and purchase these items separately and they do make the most of the biggest difference
Hi there, Do you know the connector I need to connect and register my Dit Pocket 2 to my samsung android phone (older phone), I think it's a USB-C female to micro usb male but it has to be able to carry enough data I think or else the connector won't work. I tried connecting through the wifi but it wouldn't work, Any help is appreciated. It's hard to believe that they would not allow you to use the product before registering it and then make it so hard to register with the Mimo app on older phones. It locks you out after 5 attempts is what's coming up on the screen, But thank's for your very informative videos, Hopefully I'll get it to work! Thank you
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Hey there, Thanks for the quick reply, I saw that video earlier but it's really the links to the actual products that he talks about I need, as some of these adapters and cables that you buy online only charge your phone, They don't actually transfer data, There are other videos by youtubers who leave links in the description but the links have expired
I tried that but I didn't have any success. The only microphone receiver with dual channel that I know of is, Sony URX-P03D Dual Channel Receiver but you have to have it's own Sony Microphones with it.
Not "any Smartphone". There are many MANY Android phones that DO NOT SUPPORT the DJI MIMO app. It is a known issue that beginning camera buyers will not encounter because they do not know where to look and DJI does not make this information available, and many RU-vid reviewers ALSO don't make this information available. For a compatibility list, use the following URL: dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-mimo . The "older versions" also does not work for the devices not listed on this list.

I don't know why it shouldn't work, because I have tried it on many different android based Smartphones without any issue. I think the version of your phone operating system is the compatibility determining factor, not the make of your smartphone.
@@BOOSTEDLASER That is really sad, I hope the new firmware update on the camera will support a wider range of phones. Just so you know sometimes a phone is not in the list of compatible phones but it still works, so the compatibility list is not a complete list.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 When is next firm update? Briefly can you explain what HDR is for us NON camera people? If it is so good..why isnt it just always ON?
@@BOOSTEDLASER They usually release a couple firmware updates every year, sometimes more if there are constant error reports on a previous version. That is why it is important tot send feedback about problems that we are facing to have them fix the bugs out. About the HDR: Basically when you have an object with a bright background, under normal camera settings the object " Person" face will be dark if the camera dims the background, and if the camera brightens the face of the person the background will appear as all bright white over exposed image. What HDR does is that it will take two or three photos of the subject under different settings and combines all 3 images and chooses the best from each shot. The reason the camera is not constantly shooting in HDR is that it slows down the image processing and it uses more memory.
There could be any of these 4 most common issues 1. The wireless module is not making a good connection with the Pocket 2, you need to remove it and fully re-seat it. 2. You have chosen an incorrect wireless network double check that you are connected to the DJI Pocket 2 network 3. You have very strong WiFi interference from another router or WiFi device. 4. The DJI wireless module might be defective.
Hi Can anyone help me. I've watched this video several times now and followed the instructions completely, BUT, no matter what I try, I can not get the DJI Pocket to show up on my phone. I`ve also watched other YT videos on how to get this Do It All Handle to connect to the Pocket 2 and none of the advice given in those works either. Now I wonder why I bothered to buy the Creator Combo pack at all in the first place and waste so much money. The Do It All Handle supposedly comes not only with Wi Fi but Bluetooth transmitters as well and neither Wi Fi or Bluetooth will show up on my phone, (perhaps it should have been named the Do Bugger All Handle!). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this or do I just go and throw my Do It All Handle into the river at the bottom of the garden and just understand that DJI have screwed me once again? I know I`ll never buy another DJI product again after this!!!
I am sorry to heat that, it is possible that you might have gotten and defective " Do it All " unit. Why don't you return it for an exchange or warranty service.
@@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101Thank you. Yesterday however I downloaded the Mimo app to my iPad Mini 4 and an old Motorola X phone and the Do It All Handle connects first time to those devices, just not my newer Huawei phone! Also I have purchased the PGYTECH phone holder for Pocket 2 and that holds my phone more rigidly to the Pocket 2 without them falling apart every few minutes.
