Shinko sr244 golden boy 4.60-18 (NOT 5.10-18) I think this size and tire should be recommended to replace the tw31. It would be the better competitor to the shinko 241 (4.00-18). I understand there are pros and cons to both options. 241 would be lighter, but I prefer the look of the 244.

Man, that is a clean bike!! Makes me embarrassed about my bike in my videos! That tire looks pretty good! I really like the thumbnail picture you used as well. I do like the tread on that tire I just thought with the 5.10-18 I installed on my buddies bike it felt so much heavier. I am looking forward to more of your videos on there after you get more miles and different terrains on it. Thanks for posting!

I had her all cleaned up for service. I bought it last year with just under 900 miles on it and it was immaculate. Sometimes treat her like a barn queen, but not afraid to get it dirty. Wish I had your riding and scenery. Feel like I have owned a tw forever after watching you and Tdubs kid over the years. It’s a cool community with good content.

I didn’t like the 244 in sand at all, drifted a lot. I put the 241 on and much better in sand.

I have only heard good things about the 241. We get in the mud a lot too though. can’t say the sand performance got any better with my 244. But much better in the greasy stuff. I was going for the bigger nob look I guess. The lighter feel of the 241 must be nice though

It is one of my favorite color schemes. But I would have taken a purple 90s model if the price was right. Been wanting one for a long time.

I just ordered the 5.1. We'll see how she goes. Gonna be beefy for sure. At least 90% of my riding is off road.

Either of those shinko tires are A major improvement over stock. I don’t think you could really go wrong. I wanted the look of the 244 but keep it somewhat nimble on the road. I absolutely love this compared to stock. Felt really good at the off-road park when I aired down to 18. I’m hoping my buddy gets the 5.1 so I can compare.

Nice looking tire! The tires on my new/old TW barn find has the original tires and they look good. Would you trust 20 year old tires even if they look good or should I buy new?

My uncle has a 2002 with the original tires and he has no problem. If they aren’t too dry rotted they should be OK with inner tubes. Anything can happen, I got a nail in my rear tire this past weekend. Rocky Mountain sells the original rear reasonably cheap though.

These lugs look better for shedding mud than the 241. Would you agree?

Definitely more aggressive and heavier than the 241. Harder compound from what I understand also. That was my thinking, little bit bigger lugs a little further apart would clean out better

they are the d-flex pro from tusk. I took stickers off. I did have to grind on the clamps to get them to fit my stock handlebars though.

I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Just makes it more capable without altering the personality. For less than $80 you’d be surprised. But I am exceptionally aware of the difference tires can make, I own a BW200 also. Would never argue that a stock tdub is bad. Depends how you use it.
