I just mentioned this in a different comment on one of Matt's "weird dream" videos, but my dad once had a dream where an identical version of himself told a joke that made zero sense. The dream continued on, but eventually after a series of events, the joke actually made sense and was apparently a real knee slapper. There is shit our subconscious does and knows that we don't, and the thought of that kind of concerns me.
One time in a dream a giant eye gave me a task and I had to do the task or else the eye would kill me. I denied doing the task, and just before the eye killed me, I woke up.
I feel like both are examples of the subconscious actually being kind of clever. Best thing mine ever did in a dream was give me a toy mechanical oar-propelled watercraft that I called a "roboat".
@@Vox-Multisi want to know if the obama reverse card one really didn't understand what it meant. wild that your subconscious would pick something so fitting while your conscious has no clue it even fits at all. they might have been talking about not understanding what the dream meant though, but if they meant the uno card, that's really interesting

TSA? Do you mean The Salvation Army? Because if so, they care, they just can't do anything to stop it. Neither can Goodwill. My family has worked for both businesses, we know.
Not twitter but I once dreamt about doing an entire D&D campaign with my group over discord roll20 and voice chat. It was zombies, and my character got infected early on and kept having to roll Con saves to resist the infection getting worse -and eventually, when she turned right as they were going to finish the cure, the DM let everyone do an anime-style fight scene where they try to call out to her and save her even after she's become a zombie. They did save her, and after that, there was a very touching group hug that I found so moving that I drew art of it after the session was over. None of this was real, but it would've been REALLY cool if it was
I keep dreaming i texted my friends already, it's simaler but a real epidemic, like I'll have a WHOLE ASS CONVERSATION and have to wake up to see if i actually did it before i go back to sleep.👍👍👍
Last week I dreamt I was pouring a pot of chilli onto the ground in the woods while Matt narrated, repeating the phrase “Dylan, you’re a villain”. My name’s not Dylan.
"Real eyes realise real lies" sounds like a worthy successor to those "live, laugh, love" inspirational/motivational posters everyone plasters across their walls.
Last night I dreamt that in the comments of a video you'd made about "weird animal stories from people's childhood", people kept referring to you as charlie. Like: "wow, charlie outdid himself with this one" and "can we appreciate the effort charlie puts into your videos?" and it turned out Matt Rose was a pseudonym and your real name was charlie and I was the only person who didn't know.
The topics and things that end up in your dream are things you are aware of or have seen. So, in modern times, Twitter will end up in dreams. I'm sure people dreamed of floppy disks and dialup modems at one point in time. I dream of weird esoteric crap usually relating to robots, advanced technology, the occult, and world domination. Oddly enough, I have no interest in world domination and only have limited knowledge and experience regarding the occult. I do have a great interest in advanced technology though so that's not surprising lol
this comment reminds me of how i used to dream about using discord and remembering the most weirdest shit about it💀 me dreaming about using discord just reminds me that i use it too much 💀💀💀
I use phones in dreams all the time. Once in 2004, I dreamt that I had what was basically a smartphone. Then when I woke up I was disappointed because such a thing would never exist.
You're absolutely right. I especially thought that (independently of you lol) about "*hatches from an egg* 'hello.'" More specially, I wondered if it would get more notes when posted by i-am-a-fish, pukicho, or gaudi.
Funny thing about the "never seeing phones in dreams" theory, whenever I try to use my phone in a dream it's glitchy and slow and nonsensical so I've been using it as a reality check to try lucid dreaming! It's worked once, but I dream about tornadoes a lot and don't see those in everyday life lol so those have worked 2 times.
One theory on the phone thing is that the part of the brain that processes logical things like that or reflections or keeping a clock's time consistent is less active when asleep, even while dreaming 🤔
I had a dream involving a phone and I used Google Docs on it just fine after having to adjust the keyboard on it for whatever reason. I had a different dream involving a clock though, and I immediately knew something was up because 52:00 is not a time. I think it depends on the person. I am also very bad at time so maybe it's connected? I have never seen a mirror in a dream though.
there's a theory about dreaming that says that not only do our general logical processing break down in our sleep (resulting in nonsensical circumstances), but also the systems that handle reading. the idea is that when you attempt to read something in your dream, your brain essentially pulls a word at random based on whatever neurons happened to be firing in that moment like we're a fucking copy of super mario world for the SNES when a glitch makes the system read from RAM. so reading a sign in a dream might result in nonsensical phrases like "bird cheese" or some shit. that's another common "am i dreaming" tip for people -- try to read something. Tom Scott made a video about it at some point, it's an interesting and frankly ridiculous concept that some people can attest to and some can't. but it would explain why your dream phones are always so glitchy -- your brain's pulling from RAM basically.
I once tried to check the time or something on my phone in my dream and my phone had a scrolling text across it saying that I couldn't use my phone because I was asleep.
@@purgatoryproductions310 It's also the title of an old Machine Head song, which dates it back to 1992 at the latest (supposedly the title came from some graffiti in Oakland; could be much older).
I once dreamt that I was sleepwalking and accidentally posted a bunch of Spamton porn all over my account. The only reason people were upset about it were that I wasn't crediting the original artists, but every time I tried to either delete the pictures or credit the artists, I would accidentally order unscented candles off of Amazon and send it to people's houses.
The "bloody nose* one reminds me of a conversation with my brother, A British person could say "he's got a bloody knife" and you could take that 2 ways
Once dreamed I made a meme that was just an image macro of some mountains with the text "LESBIANS: BEANS IS PESTO," so when I woke up I actually posted it and an internationally wanted criminal reblogged it. Which was much, much weirder than if the meme had just stayed in my dream.
I wonder how many of these were just ideas for a tweet they had so if they conveyed it as an idea they came up with in their subconscious it would seem funnier than it is, but if the tweet itself isn’t funny then the notion that it was dreamt up is what makes it amusing.
I am an old man. I am proud to report to you that I have yet to dream of using a computer, that I can recall. I still live in three-dimensional space, waking and sleeping.
I once woke up from a dream and I remembered nothing except for a RU-vid comment that said “the earthworm, the fireworm, the waterworm, and the airworm reunited to form a great nation”. Wtf is going on in my head?
I once dreamed that my friend Harrison broke into my house through my bedroom window and said, "I want socks for my balls" and then he left, then when I woke up, my window was open, i swear to god that I never opened it. I will never sleep again...

I work in a library. The other night I had a dream that we were setting up a book display and the theme was "peanut butter": we just dumped an entire tub of peanut butter on each book. We also just randomly had jars of peanut butter at random around the display. I had many concerns throughout the dream, such as "Isn't this a health risk? A peanut butter allergy person could just accidentally touch our display and die!" and "When this display is done, how are we going to get the peanut butter off?" No one listened to my logic, though. All my coworkers thought this was a great idea. Edit: Read the replies; you won't regret it. XD

I dreamed that I was walking to the bus with my mum, and when we got to the bus stop, I noticed that my trousers were missing. When I asked my mum about it, she seemed confused, asking me what I meant. I felt really confused, while an obese naked man chugged a gallon of chocolate milk nearby.

I once dreamt i replaced Cory from Dude Perfect on the Overtime series and then we go outside to do Get Crafty and Sparky says "Best cake wins, fellas" and the members got to work meanwhile i didnt know what to do because i dont know how to bake a cake, so quickly i ran up some conveniently placed stairs and baked a cake myself. When it was over, Coby built the Elizabeth Tower, Garrett built a giant rectangle, Cody built air and Tyler built a giant minecraft redstone contraption (which Sparky accidentally broke it) and when it was my turn, my cake turned into a giant pile of sand, and for no reason, Sparky pulls out a cigarette and stirs the sand. And in the final, i end up winning Get Crafty
I had a dream last night where I infected myself with Covid to get out of school, but got locked in jail for 30 days because I had Covid, and then realized it would take 90 days for Covid to wear off. I graduated 2 years ago and that was also the first time a dream of mine has ever acknowledged Covid. Wtf
13:48 imagine how traumatizing that would be- you share a picture of your dead grandpa and someone draws him getting topped by William afton or the Medic from TF2
9:52 was not looking at my screen and the sudden transition from a “flat” sound to surround sound coming through my headphones while walking down a dark hallway nearly made me shriek in terror. It was like you suddenly manifested right behind me. Need a minute to get over that one.
i once dreamt that i posted a photo of montgomery montgomery from a series of unfortunate events (the series), and captioned it "Dnek Nek". it went viral, and i remember one of my friends showing me their tiktok feed and saying "it's all nek dnek. Why did you do this?" over and over again.
I had a dream I saw a washcloth hanging on a dishwasher rack…. The cloth had what I’d call an “inspirational” quote which read “you are the footprint.”
Same. I lucid dream all the time but can never remember anything other than it had something to do with water. It would be amazing to know what happened sometimes, not just know I've had a lucid dream again.
It takes practice. The more you try to remember and hang onto your dreams right upon waking before you do anything else, the better you will get at it. I've gotten into the habit of when I wake up, if I recall a dream, I will not do anything until I've replayed the dream in my head and thought about it for a bit. Gives my brain a chance to store it to memory.
i just write down absolutely everything i can remember about my dreams immediately after i wake up from them. that tends to keep the memory in place. i dont always remember all of it, but most of it 🤷🏼♂️
I’ve never dreamed about tweeting, but last night, I dreamed that I received a very long text from an unknown number berating me for being rude at a restaurant I’ve never been to, and they called me by name so I know they didn’t send it to the wrong person. The first thing I did when I woke up was to check my phone and make sure I hadn’t actually received such a text.
I had a dream when I was scrolling through social media, and I saw a commercial of some soda. The can said with big bright letters "I lost my voice" as if it was the name of a brand. Then, it showed a guy drinking this and whispering (as if he had a sore throat) in a very sad tone: "I lost my voice". Usually, I have trouble questioning reality while I'm dreaming, but here I was like: "This guy is so stupid! Why would he drink a beverage that says "I lost my voice" and get surprised about the after-effects?"
I love the new regular Matt Rose scientific experiments sections of videos, cereal in a glass and DMing Colgate, doing hard hitting journalism like no one else 🙏
Matt eating the cereal from a glass gave off heavy "Leonard's Review's" vibes. I half expected it to end with "I'm as high as hell and you're about to get shot"
I had a dream where I was in a willy wonka and the chocolate factory (1971)esque and also steampunk victorian britain, and I happened upon a group of apparently homeless orphans who tried to mug me. I didn’t really take them super seriously, but then I noticed out of the corner of my eye that they had an assortment of instruments in this large alley and behind a building, so I asked them, “are these yours? could you play something for me?” and they played the most beautiful piece i’ve ever heard in my life and I actually wept, and at that moment I decided to take them under my wing and become their mentor. so they began walking me to the place they were living and BOOM all of a sudden we’re caught in this whole kerfuffle with gustavo fring from breaking bad, so I send the kids away to get somewhere safe. somewhere in the mix, gus shoots a random bystander with like a small cannon (the events leading to that are more fuzzy) and so now he’s got this like 8 inch wide hole straight through his chest and so of course he dies, somehow gus becomes not a problem. so, I carried the dude’s body to the edge of the water on this huge lake that we were next to and I sent him away and cried for the second time in this dream. I reunited with the children and they showed me where they were living, and it was this abandoned factory, and at this point I cried once again and I was like “This is the best dream I’ve ever had, I’ll never forget you” and shortly after finding out the factory was actually willy wonka’s abandoned chocolate factory, I woke up.
i like how this implies that willy wonka and gustavo fring are from the same universe. just imagining willy wonka and gustavo fring cooperating on smuggling meth through wonka's chocolate factory
I have had several dreams where I’m not only using my phone, but straight up videoing things and once even buying a 1930s tube radio. I’m not sure why specifically a tube radio, but I do have a strange fascination with them, so I guess it makes sense.
Matt! I have a video idea! People explain times when they messed up with sign language. Like in class, talking to deaf people, ordering at a restaurant, etc. (Messed up with sign language BADLY)
@@weird_art_kidDepends on the local Deaf community tbh, as with a lot of signs. Where I’m from, it’s a tap on the jaw then to the ear, not a smooth motion. I’ve also seen it reversed, especially when asking someone something (‘DEAF YOU’ flows off the hands better with that motion.) Also, I’ll gladly volunteer to talk about my experiences lmao
I have one! I'm HoH, but I never got the chance to learn ASL because no one else in my family has significant hearing issues, and I can lip read fairly well. I actually didn't even know I was HoH until I started Uni. When I started Uni, there was a Deaf girl in my speech class. I started picking up signs from her, and we spent a lot of time together. She taught me quite a bit, and while I'm nowhere near fluent, I can fingerspell relatively fast and know basic foods and words, like bush and tree and flower. Language has always been a passion of mine, and in high school I took Japanese for 3 years. I became relatively conversational. When I was signing to my Deaf friend, I was trying to tell her that the flowers outside are pretty. But I forgot the sign for flower. So instead of fingerspelling it, my brain processed as "oh, foreign word for flower, okay" and I said はな (hana), which is the Japanese word for flower. My friend can lip read very well, but she had no clue what I was trying to say. I had just told her that Hannah is pretty. We don't know a Hannah lol.
“Chee-“ *leaves to get cheese* *searches for a whole week* *finds a woman* *falls in love* *marries her* *starts a family* *raises his kids* *his kids start school* *he gets hungry (he’s forgotten why he is here)* *he makes a sandwich* *he finds some American cheese* *he gets a flashback and remembers why he is here* *leaves the house at hypersonic speed, much to the wife’s confusion* “-eese!”
I had a dream that I (a woman) was Bruce Willis and I had to infiltrate a mafia group to find my black socks. I found one in their mansion, then cars started to fall as the bridge above the house collapsed and I (still Bruce Willis) was frantically trying to find the other one. I found it beside my bed when I woke up.

I once dreamt that fujieda from slow damage found my house because a bunch of incompetent chihuahuas ran away making me call them back to my house. He then broke in and just talked to me like it was a normal situation
I also had a couple of symbolic dreams. I had a dream about a floating zipline over the edge of a cliff to a destination you can't see with the ground out of sight. The fog was thick and light blue and gray and I went for it no matter how scared I was. I returned there in another dream, but it broke and I fell into a net I hadn't known was there.
I also had one other location that showed up twice. First, a dream where we moved into a terrifying antique house with long dark hallways and strange layouts. I was hesitant, but grew to love that home. In the next dream, the fire alarm went off and we had to hide outside. We still pressed against the outside wall the best we could because there was a "hurricane" (it was a tornado) outside.
