Oh I love the pier in Clevedon used to visit there a lot when I lived in Wiltshire. I remember there being a really lovely yarn/craft shop just up the hill there at one point too, but we are talking many years ago now 🧡

@YarnNYarns hello! I had so much fun on the vest (I'm enjoying the slow cast ons - can do a little more focus on one if you want) I have just a little bit left! Ribbing and casting off (I've not done this type before so need a quiet couple of hours). My wrists are ok-ish thank you! How are you doing with your cast ons? What have you been working on? How are you?

@louisemoss3931 oh yay it sounds like you are getting really close to finishing your vest. Hope the ribbing goes ok and I’m so glad to hear that your wrists haven’t been suffering too much. I’ve been working a little on my Heritage Harbour sweater this week, and this weekend I’m trying to figure out whether to finish or frog one of my really old wips (giraffe socks)

@YarnNYarns ooh your Heritage Harbour is going to look so pretty! That's a lovely pattern and you have lovely colours. I need to think about projects going forward, I think... really plan what I want and what my body is happy making! How are you doing on deciding about your older wips? Any decision on the socks?

@YarnNYarns Turns out I don't have it yet and the handspun didn't turn out quite how I'd imagined colourwise. Another cast on for another day it seems.

@@YarnNYarns I had to modify it a bit and make deeper armholes. I have 5 more color changes and the body will be finished. Just to seam the shoulders and then that will be my 3rd garment at sleeve island. Then back to the Sonja ... which the armhole depth is being modified to match my gauge. I sadly cut the yarn when the pattern said to for the back forgetting I needed another 2 inches. Dilemma ... should I spit splice or start a new yarn and weave in 2 more ends? It is right at a stress point at the back/sleeve area. What project have you picked back up? xx

@AStateofDeNile ooh sounds like you are making some great progress though it sounds like you are due a long trip to sleeve island 🏝️ 😃 I think I’d just rejoin the yarn and weave in the extra ends. I was away with some lovely friends last weekend and I took the Heritage Harbour away with me as that is fairly straightforward back and forward knitting. I’m almost at the point where I join under the arms to work in the round so then it will be even more straight forward. This weekend I’ve picked up a really old wip off the pile, and am going to see if I can rescue my giraffe socks or if they should just be frogged 🤣

@@YarnNYarns I have been incorporating working on an old WIP as well along with new ones. Working a little each day will get it done. Does the giraffe sock fit nice? Then I would continue. The best part is the spots don't have to match. After spending a lovely afternoon at my local LYS, I now have the shoulder seams left to sew for Daft and the side seams for my Writer's Block. I left the cuffs on holders as I want to try it on before I finish. Then just the shawl collar which I think I am going to knit all the way around the front instead of short back and forths. - We shall see as I want to incorporate color garter bumps in the collar as well. I can see it, I just hope I can make it work. xx
