Great final (ish)project for this year. And lovely to see the litmus cowl again - now going upstairs to my stash to see if I can work out a litmus collection for me! While watching this video, was spinning Shetland slivers (from a friend’s) flock - going to be a sweater’s worth - to make a single malt for my husband. Don’t hold your breath….. Ooh I hope you had fun having a rummage to see if you could find yarn for a Litmus. Your shetland spin sounds lovely. I’ve been working again on spindle spinning the shetland fleece I combed a while ago, Shetland is such a lovely fibre 😃

The 12 cast ons is one of the highlights of my year Ange! I have so much fun going through my Ravelry queue and my stash plotting and planning what to make. I've got projects to last me through the year (including some from previous years!) and it's so much fun! I also really enjoy hearing what other people are making - as well as what you're making of course, and get a lot of inspiration from everyone. Thank you for hosting such a lovely challenge.

Amazing!! I just received the Susan Crawford book Echoes and will definitely be casting on two sweaters and a pair of fingerless mitts!! No worries ! I always have at least ten wips at any given time🧶!

I have all of the pieces of the Toft projects crocheted now just need to put them together. It took a bit of time to get the graph figured out for the cowl. Hopefully my daughter will like the end result. She had only been watching other people play Alan Wake online, but she recently got the game so now she can play it too. 😁
I love your color palette for this top! Chocolate brown and blues are definitely amazing together. I think Inshared my first 7 cast ons but my last five were Old Beat sweater, teacup Felici socks, Celebration socks, Illyrian Wings beanie, and Speedy Selbu mittens. Thank you again for hosting. Congrats on getting all 12 projects cast on, on top of your busier than usual schedule these days. It’s always a highlight of the knitting year seeing what’s been cast on so I’m looking forward to 2025 already 😂
I cast on fifteen projects in the end, and finished fourteen of them by the end of the first week in February. The only one still on the needles is Glittering Snowscape Shawl by Stephen West, but as I knit twelve Stephen West shawls last year I'm in no huge rush to finish this one so I'll work on it as and when I feel like it. I am on track for twelve Boo Knits shawls and thirty-six pairs of socks before the end of the year though, so fingers crossed for that (I have already cast off two shawls and six pairs of socks). I have really enjoyed watching your cast ons! 💜

I have finished my 3rd project of my 6 cast ons. It was my 6th cast on the library socks. I cast on the cuff 1-30-24 and finished both socks on 2-13-24. I knitted both socks at the same time but on 2 different pairs on needles. I knit my socks using magic loop.
I am working on mittens for my husband that are recycled wook and a strand of alpaca held together. S!so working on my comment to crochet 12 hats for charity this year. Just finished a lovey blanket a prayer shawl for a dear friend who lost her husband and two dish cloths. Trying to keep up on my charity hats and clearn my needles this year.
Hi Ange, my first year at this and tbf I don’t have enough needles to cast on 12 things! I have however finish the humbug Corriedale spin and am now knitting it into a hat, finished the colourwork jumper and spun another 200 g of grey corriedale. Half way through another pair of socks as well….i may not cast them all on at once, but I plough through all the things! Jan
Needles are always a problem for me too, I try and pick projects which need a range of different sizes and I have built up my collection over the years towards. It sounds like you have made some fantastic progress on your projects 😃🧡🧡
How do you keep track of all these new projects? I’d have to relearn each one when I came around to knitting it. PS I ADORE the wall color behind you! My sofas are that color! So happy and warm!! 💥. I love that woven-look too, may be making it too. 🧶 🧡
A lot of the things that I cast on aren’t overly complicated in terms of stitch patterns, and I usually print out the patterns I’m using and make good notes on them each time I put them away so that helps me keep track I think 😃🧡
