when i saw luther vandross live in the 90's i had the pleasure of seeing and hearing lisa featured in his excellent show. i loved how he allowed his background or backup singers their time to shine.
Ten days out on youtube now..I´ll be first to comment..well I have already promised a friend to buy that documentary for him and I´ll buy one for myself too when it comes out in june or so..so many good words about music from Lisa..born with a gift from God.
Cant wait for this to be released on DVD. Lisa was wonderful on this. My only complaint is the director guy who claims there has never been any stories written on background singers and he couldnt be more totally wrong. There hasnt been a movie up to now but their stories have been well documented to REAL MUSIC LOVERS out there.
I realize this is captured with a cell phone, but even with headphones I couldn't hear the lady's question at 19:50. You'd think the host could go into the audience, or give his mic to one of these people standing around and run into the audience with a 2nd wireless mic to capture these great questions, since people don't project their voices in these situations where everyone can hear them.
