Heavenly Father, As I begin this new week, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life. Grant me the strength and courage to face the challenges that lie ahead. I'm currently suffering from COVID, first time contracting it. I chose not to get the vaccinations for both religious and scientific reasons. Please pray for continued recovery, and a few special intentions.
Thank you, dear Father, for the patience I possess as I await Jesus' coming. This patience is beyond my normal inclination, and I recognize it as a gift from your indwelling Spirit. Bless my efforts at leading others to know Jesus and to find salvation in him. Bless my faith so that it will be strong and endure my waiting. Please bless my life, not with worldly goods but with godly patience and compassionate character, so I can be a light to others. In Jesus' name. Amen.
A great message about "Now it's your turn" with reference to Joshua Ch22 when Jashua shares his thoughts with people before entering the promised land. Also the importance of taking a decision even when faced with many choices. A great example of Elijah Woods casting in the Lord of the Rings.. Life is a self assignment. Everyday, we get to choose who we want to be tomorrow. Don't lose your turn. Decide whom you serve- God and Jesus. Great story about Kate choosing God. We are the average of 5 people we spend time with so we must have more people who love Jesus in our inner circle. When we choose Jesus, we also choose the 5 people. A nice example of Emma about groups. We spend our time with people who help us. Our time matters and what we do matters if we choose Jesus. Not choosing is also a choice. We must choose the pain of decision instead of regret of indecisiveness. Joshua Ch24 Thank you so much, Fr. Mike, Lauren on the Camera, the Pew Crew and Team Ascension. God bless you and the fellow attendees.
I'm well past the college years but the homily is still meaningful as I approach what most people would call old age. "You're next, it's your turn, decide."

God is not a Grandparent! Why? We are His kids!! Never thought of that before, Fr Mike. Thanks too for the encouragement to husbands and wives at the end of Mass. Where and to whom to we send a little donation for your Building Project? Now it’s my turn. 😎 Thank you.
I bet if Kate had told your spiritual director her story without telling her where she was when she realized thatJesus was God and real, and that she chose Jesus, your spiritual director would have told her immediately that she was before the Eucharist. I had a similar experience that I told him, and he said, "You were in church before the Tabernacle when that happened." I asked him how he knew, and he simply said that Christ is truly present there and he really speaks to you there. It happens a lot.
Greetings Father Mike, Key Thoughts :- -> Sunday Homily help to Contemplate with Lord Jesus Christ's Teachings which reflect with "The Core of Our Faith in Embracing Lord Jesus Christ in Host during Our Communion in Holy Mass at The Holy Church in all aspects." -> Good Insights with Integral approach on Holy Land - Holy Church and Spiritual Discernment, Father. -> Thanks Virtual Front Pew, Team Ascension Presents. With regards, Ranjith Joseph (R.J)
I am a Catholic who was married outside the Church to a non-Catholic, divorced man, so my marriage is invalid before God--a fact I very much want to correct. I'm afraid that, at the time, I was not familiar enough with what constituted mortal sin and that my marriage fell into that category. Is there anything I can do? In the meantime, my husband and I began living as brother and sister. I read the words of a priest once, who said that people in invalid marriages cannot take holy communion unless they are living as brother and sister - until they can regularize their marriage. Not sure if this is accurate.
It is accurate, and if you're living as brother and sister...wow, what a miracle, what grace has been given you! I've never heard of anyone ever being able to do that unless they lived completely apart for a set time...go to confession if you haven't yet been! You can be absolved now! What a wonderful feeling that will be. I'm praying for you and your husband today and any time in the future you come to mind. I'm going to mass at noon central time and offer it for you two. I pray a priest will guide you in a way that protects your faith and your marriage both. ❤
@@BitsyBee Thank you so much for your reply! I feel that the decision would not have been as easy for my husband had we been young. We were an older couple when we married. Unfortunately I was not raised in a very religious household. Before i was married I never gave these things any thought. I was in full communion with the Church without understanding much about the sacraments. I was baptized, had my communion and was also confirmed, but my family was otherwise Catholics in name only. I started to become more interested in knowing about my faith unfortunately after I was married! I will follow your advice. I want to speak to a priest!
