I love it when people think this song is way deeper than it really is/the car radio is a metaphor [and it still is a deep song], especially after catching on than TOP do create extremely deep meaningful songs. It's fun to watch them realize Tyler actually did get his radio stolen. 😂 BTW I strongly urge you to check out this song live, among many others. Also, at a TOP concert, whenever Tyler tells you to do something [sing, jump about, etc] you just do it, no questions asked lol. I went to their Denver, CO show last month and the interaction between the boys and fans is something amazing that can't easily be explained. It's better to watch and/or experience it yourself to fully understand/get it.

Literally no one drinks at their concerts. If they are in the pit they usually don’t drink much because they don’t want to miss their concert. Their music is too good to miss. I was in the pit this year and it was *AMAZING*
For the backstory of this song this you got it perfectly right. Backstory: he was in college, someone actually stole his car radio, and in quote Tyler says “I’m an emotional dude” so he used that time while he was driving to overthink. He said that he encourages people to take time to think things through.

ahhh my God, watching this again brought so many memories. I used to listen to this soo much that I just rapped the whole thing as you guys were watching xD I love how interactive the crowd was though. As deep and depressing our fan base gets deemed, you can't deny that we stand strong together and that we know that when we are in that room, we are doing something together as a group of people who understand what those two guys alone have done for all of us. No just standing there and not participating, if you go to a twenty one pilots concert and not enjoy yourself, there's a problem.

Last November, all I knew was their name (TOP) and that at the time my 11 year old daughter now 12, liked them and they happened to be on their Bandito tour and was coming to Portland OR which is a few hours away from where we live on the Oregon coast, and for her up coming birthday, I got us tickets and went into it with low expectations and boy was I Wrong, in fact, I was Pleasantly surprised, impressed with the show that they put on and became an instant fan, and this song was one that impacted me that I can remember, just imagine strobe lights and lasers and smoke along with 20,000 people singing, we had an amazing time 🔥🤩👏 But then, I also had to introduce her to one of if not my favorite bands about 3 weeks later, same city/arena, as I surprised her with Metallica 🤣🤩🎸🤘 and again a show of a lifetime...

I heard Car Radio Live and he didn't do the scream part, because his voice was tired, but you could still feel how important this song was to him. I was just overwhelmed with hearing it live.
They got eeveryone to sit still by letting them know that they were shooting a video at that concert. So when that song came up, the whole crowd was in on it. The boys told the crowd what to donfor the video and they did it. It was a real live show askntheu decided to shoot the video while at the show. II-//

i like this. ive been going through y'alls reaction videos in no particular order and i have comments on those in turn. but before i kind of hit that level of engaging, im taken out of it by how often liking and subscribing and yall wanting more followers comes up. it makes me feel like a commodity whose primary value is to boost *your* value, and that doesn't feel good as an audience member. and this is youtube. not to sound super harsh, but we do all know what the buttons are for. id like to ask you to trust yourselves a little more, trust what youre creating to do the *most* of the work for you. making a good reaction video takes a certain amount of talent, self-awareness, and insight. you have those things. and from what i can tell, you're kind and responsive to your viewers. those things will get you the numbers you want. let em.

Just a thought 🤷♂️😁✌ Having said that, at the time (End of 2018) my 11 yo daughter had mentioned a band to me (TOP) that she liked and even played me a couple of they're songs, one of them being "Stressed out" and I liked what very little of them I had heard... Well a couple of months later I was online looking for some concert tickets (Metallica) and seen that (TOP - Bandito tour) was going to be there in November, a month before Metallica, and I picked up tickets for both concerts, So the night of the TOP concert, I didn't really know what I was about to walking into, completely blind, but knew regardless taking my daughter to her first real concert to see one of her favorite bands, would be enough for me, plus I like music and if it's live in front of me, I was pretty sure that I was gonna like it... 😁👍 Let me tell you, you know how the whole crowd was participating in the performance, it was exactly like that, 20,000 people singing along, jumping around, cellphones lit up, they made a fan out of me in the first 5-10 mins, just an amazing show, Highly recommend!!! 😲🤩😁
