The part in which Quinns joins at 1:57:22 and asks what Matt did and they start realising what Matt's plan is, finishing with that ominous appearance of Matt in the diary room is so good.

The diary room was an ingenious idea and I love it (at 2 hour 2 mins now)

The Quinn evil betrayal talk is hilarious. You can watch him talking himself into it

About 1 hr 30 mins into the second part and it's the first time I realised Matt's wearing a tail. For a game where you're sitting down most of the time... that's commitment!

I love the image of matt running out of the private box with his tale wiggling after him like a actual big cat.

I know I'm like 3 years late but I had to say at 2:10 demanding a victory point seams fair to not defend himself. Cause the weighting on the wall is saying he will have 2 planets left with one infantry unit on it with no space dock. Assuming that everyone dose what they planed. Right?...alright bow I'm going to continue to see what happens

Interesting mechanic for a game idea: victory point based conquest, like TI, but where certain locations let you trade their victory points to other players. So basically a situation where "while A has control over key location 1, player B has a victory point." So if A loses that key location, B also loses a victory point.

I wanted to play this game someday when I’m all grown up, but after seeing how devastated Matt was after that defeat I don’t think my little heart could handle it. 💔😂

what you really want to do with the saar is to rush chaos mapping jump into a asteroid system and just build as many shipyards as possible at that point you are nearly impossible to defeat from a purely military standpoint as nobody can attack your shipyards and you can just build an insane number of ships per turn. its fun...... but truly broken.

Starting at 46:08, Regarding "Watershed" - the American term is "Safe Harbor," technically. Except it's backwards from what you're thinking. Safe harbor is any time before 10pm and after 6am - at least, on over-the-air (OTA) TV. Complicating matters is the number of time zones - so something that airs at 10 Eastern might air before safe harbor ends in Central, since they're usually simulcast Eastern/Central and Mountain/Pacific That means that anything with objectionable content must air after 10pm Central, or there'll be fines. Same thing for Mountain/Pacific. I'm not sure what happens with Alaska/Hawaii - when I lived in Alaska, we didn't get any OTA programming at all, so I have no idea when things are broadcast there. Of course, this is all up in the air, since the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) is being extremely lax in defining their terms, and the broadcasters are focusing more on cable/on-demand than OTA content, anyway. The Safe Harbor restrictions only apply to OTA broadcasts, which makes things super ambiguous.

Watching two science worlds in the right colours for adjacent players just sitting there empty for all those turns, even with science world points on the board, feels like such an obvious mistake it must absolutely be a trap.

Did you proud Quinns. won my second game of TI with the Yin Brotherhood. converting ground forces was instrumental but i could only park my flagship on Darian and my cruisers and destroyers never got to give their life crashing into other ships

47:12 - No, no he can't. That system is activated by the token under the dreadnaught, so he isn't actually supposed to be moving anything out of there. This is why I keep telling players to put tokens on top of unit figures, so they don't get buried and missed later. Oh well... not like it will put him in a better position to win the game, right?

Why are you scoring objectives in the status phase from the speaker? It is supposed to be in initiative order, this makes a big difference in the last round.

I never was able to purchase Shards for TI3 and I totally regret that.

So, I've only played 3rd edition and it's been a while. But is there something I'm missing as to why Efka chose not to produce when he could? I mean in his most recent ~secret living room chat~ he mentioned being worried about being spread to thin. It seems to me like this is exactly what he needed, an opportunity to build some more ships to ward off Matt from Mecatol Rex, or at least secure his border with Elaine. So why didn't he? Was that a bad play or am I missing something obvious?
