Twin Bridesmaid Wants Her Dress To Be COMPLETELY Different | Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta

yes, but it should have been discussed and agreed upon by both, and NOT pushed on the bride by a spoiled, pushy MOH. I'm nervous about the groom and their future life with sidekick Mo. It'll take a lot of honesty and compromise to keep all three satisfied.

Back in 2007 (when it was very common for bridal parties to wear the same dress), each of my bridesmaids wore different styles and colours of dresses, so that it made them ALL feel and look special/individual. No jealousy nor difficulties at all. I took inspiration from fashion collections/shows and how different outfits still look cohesive together, as I wanted to avoid the matchy-matchy vibe. I pitched my vision to the whole bridal party and they were enthusiastic about it. All dresses were custom-made from scratch using inspirational photos (in my case, it was cheaper than buying dresses through a retailer). Details on the dresses were either made to look similar to the photos and/or altered to their liking and flatter their body-shape (for me, the latter was top priority). They were all hemmed around the same length using the same/similar weight of material. The colour tones were within the same family of complimentary colours. My sister was the matron-of-honour, so I selected the lightest shade for her, so your eyes were initially drawn to her before the bridesmaids. They all looked gorgeous in photos together. A “balanced” complimentary look was achieved, yet still individually unique - they didn’t overpower each other nor me.

I was thinking the same thing. And then once she put it on, she didn't like it... 😂 😅 😂

my aunt had the same issue, and she solved it that way: all bridesmaids had the same dress, midi length. Maid of honour had the same dress, but maxi length. All looked beautiful, it all blended in, but we knew who the maid of honour was.

I kind of thought it was sweet. I don’t understand what it’s like to be a twin, but I’ve heard it’s very special, & her sister is obviously acting out because she feels she’s losing her other half. They clearly have a very special bond, & in the end both sisters want that made clear to the rest of the world.

I was surprised when it seemed that the consultant was going over on the side of the MOH.

I think the MOH's attitude about a different dress was off putting. I know sometimes MOH dresses are different but I think the one they chose is a bit much

I think it's great that the bride let her sister pick her dress. Its a win win

@@Jerseygal30 Yeah, my MOH had a long dress while everyone else's was just below the knee. A subtle difference. At the end of the day though, my MOH wasn't my twin. I think that relationship is so uniquely different and it's nothing I can relate to. Absolutely respect your opinion though. Could he considered over the top.

@@16MedicRN Long for your MOH while the rest of the bridal party was just below the knee, is different than long with a train that could look like a wedding dress that was shown in this video
