We started attempting to make a Thiago Motta recreation, we failed, and came up with something far more spectacular... All Tactics, files and early releases on Patreon / stingerfmcontent skin TATO 24 #fm24 #Footballmanager2024
I've been thinking that for a while. A Total Football (or Bologna's Motta philosophy) of interchanging set of midfielders. But in the highest level of course physicality is important that's why i'd add Xabi Alonso's extremely compact short passing game to utilise player's technicality more since it would be the supposed midfielders best attribute.
@@yudhistira9453 ye, what i would like to achieve is total football movement and courage to move around the pitch but with sarri's vertical tiki-taka, short and fast passes, fluminense and malmo irl are the closest things yet, even tho they're still missing that vertical tiki taka
Started a new game with Bayern FC new season using the Mez one 7 friendly wins 6-1 10-0 8-1 6-0 4-1 5-0 6-0 last 2 v Barcelona and AC Milan wow. Feel sorry for Harry Kane no medals but he will get one using this tactic. Let’s go smash everything. Cheers Stinger
Love this creative tactics! Great work! Can you recreate Spaletti’s Roma 4-6-0 tactic (Totti as False 9 and main focus point in attack) fluid football from 2007? Would love to see that in FM!
@@StingerNeilD It's worth it. It famously influenced Alex Ferguson's Champions League and Premier League winning tactics in 2007/2008 with a fluid "front" 3 of Rooney, Tevez, CR7.
Have u tried PF atk for central striker? I'm finding it more involved than poacher and not so much of an early outball target as AF. Good for possession football
@@StingerNeilD it’s half of second season at Barcelona, so I can say few things about this wonderful tactic. I use the offensive one lot more. First season - no trophies. Lost and drew few games where I was dominant, but couldn’t score or outscore opponents. Also lost offensive players due to injuries with Lewandowski missing 3/4 of the season… ultimately that cost me. However, second season is a different story. I stick to offensive variation in every game, bought Messi from Miami to act as false 9 on the right and he is tearing it apart at age 37. Yamal as AF is my best scorer and I see Frenkie de Jong being the player everyone thought he would be for the first time since his Ajax days. Regista position is perfect for him. What surprise me the most is how sound defensively this tactic actually is. Just had 10 games in a row without concededing. Tbh I have never had a tactic being so close to what Barcelona should be playing. Offensive to the bone, defensively solid, goals coming from everywhere, fluid and attractive football. Am grateful and say big thanks to you! Finally enjoying Barca save this year :) and they are the team I support irl. Cheers!
Love the content, surely using IWB on support would be better right? There traditionally better on the ball, there better at dribbling and centre defenders are better at tackling, is there something Liberos offer that a iwb doesnt?
Starting position... also lb and rb are matched man for man by the opposing wingers. Where as there will almost always be atleast 1 CB free... meaning they have more space to operate while also being more effective at dragging the opposing midfield out of shape. When the CB push through the middle a midfielder is forced to press which gives you an option in the midfield to beat the press.
would it be possible to represent this in FM 23? Can't have Libero in a 4-man D-line in that version, what would something that could work? I guess BPD? or go 3-man and do Libero + WCB? No IFB either but I'm guessing moving them to WB and making them IWB would do similar?
@@StingerNeilD True... This part in the back is confounding me. L-A and two WCB-DE leaves me with one player homeless on the pitch. Going a back 4 leaves me with trying to replicate the Libero. I guess the closest would be a 3-4-3 diamond. What's funny is the guy I was using as a IW-A (Gnonto) is a 5-star F9 lol. The homeless guy can be AM so I make him a T so he can basically do whatever lol No idea how this will work but we'll see.
Have been trying to implement Motta's tactic for a month or so. Either with no success or with no fluid roaming. Will try yr one. I have just been promoted to Prem.League with Buxton and have 5 veeery promising young mezzalas/f9s. Ive been playing with IW/IF, BWMd ord DPLd and common CDs, but other than that my squad is damn ready for this tactic transition. Wamted to sell my IW and IF anyway. So yr tactic is veeery timely. And I love IFBd. Use tall and strong CDs as IFd, not very fast and with poor crossing, but they are decent at buildup and defensively my team conceded the fewest amount of goals in championship. Even though I played 2 mezalla with attack duty. I bet my Buxton will be raped with PL grands, since my CD are decent at championship level and using 2 liberos is scarry, but will see whether I get relegated or not. One F9 was decent, but not great for me. Probably 2 F9 will rock. But I will try poacher as well. Cause it fits Motta's countermoving concept more. And on paper is great paired with F9. Thank u )
Both my side f9 always play shits. > F9 players always prefer dribbling breakthrough when they take the ball off the side or into the penalty box. They don't see the through pass angle.
@@StingerNeilD i ask to help a tactic suitable for this team, its ok thanks for your reply best wishes and good luck in everything you do,keep the good work.
@@StingerNeilD they are solid at the back with high press and fast counters i try all the system some inspired by your videos but its not so close what i like to see
