Curtis, I've been playing this game for 8 years and have spent many hours on youtube/twitch trying to improve. Of all the channels I've come across in that time, you undoubtedly put in the most effort and produce the most digestable content of them all. Your format, demeanor, and perspective are all simply top tier for this type of video which has sadly died on youtube in favor of clickbaity 10 minute oversaturated bullshit. You clearly love what you do bro and shows in the quality of your videos, keep it up!
This really means a lot man, thank for the kind words and seeing these sorts of comments motivates me to keep improving my content game. Appreciate you tuning in brother
@@CoachCurtis Bro, what do you think about PTA AD twisted fate that is abused by top 1 EUW twisted fate player (on lolgraphs)? It is actually an interesting style
I actually think that monodimensional champs require a lot of skill, due to lack of agency : just a different set of skills. I picked malzhar as poster boy as he likes to afk pushing
About Fiora, i actually found that if you R on her with yellow card then do just ctrl+2 animation for a moment, TF is swinging his hand with similar animation of AA, in 95% situations Fiora will press W instantly.
Dude literally the day after I decide to start learning him this absolute legend makes a guide. Curtis, your content is some of the best on the whole platform, you put so much effort into each and every guide and you genuinely care about helping us improve. Thank you and keep up the great work!
As a Twisted Fate main, you're always the channel I go to for improvement. You help me stay focused on dominating with macro and keeping my eyes on the mini-map. Keep it up man.
Damn coach, a near 3 hours video! I don't even play TF, but i really appreciate the effort you put into these champion guides. The quality of these guides is so much higher than anything you can find on the internet.
Curtis, i need to thank you. You have such a good didatic and is so carismatic that even a inpacient person(just like me) wants to watch the whole video and don't skip any part. As a player from Brazil i need to say, we dont have any free league content that is so good as yours, and i think that everyone could learn incredibly well with you. Thank you so much. Muito Obrigado. ❤
before i see this thanks for everything coach and now i am about to enjoy an episode of my favorite show you really do make my day whenever you upload and i see that notification
I just thought about learning Tf after struggling so much with aurelion, 4 minutes later this video pops up. Wow (Btw great video curtis, keep it up man
Personally as a Asol/Kassa main who has about a 53% we on him he really isn't that difficult if you know when to back for a dark seal boots spike and know when to use the E for various situations like to get back to lane or to roam. Also spacing on him is very important. He's fun when you get the hang of him tho. He's just real hard for the first 15 games but then you just click. Also I'd say he scales better than Tf in team fights as he can both peel for back line and hit the front line. Also you can bully hard level 1-2 but then after you should seek to get ROA and Liandries as fast as possible as then his damage spikes amazingly.
YES thank you curtis! I've been trying out TF lately and you even answered my question on discord about his matchup VS jayce a few days ago. Really helpful! This definitely answers my questions about what to do with the champion, itemization, ult usage. Everything is covered! Thanks for making this man.
I don't plan on playing TF this season (mostly an assassin abuser) but I watched the whole video and gained a great understanding of what TF wants to do in a game and therefore how to stop it and counter TF. Thanks a lot man and keep up the great work!
Curtis, I was getting ROFLSTOMPED with Twisted Fate. Just finished a match now after watching this guide and some of your commented replays. Went 15/1/3 (vs Ahri) and my team won under 25 min. Your explanation on runes, items and general strategy with TF was huge for someone that is a complete noob, like me. Still need to improve mechanics and warding, but it doesn't even look like the same champion I was playing before. Thank you!
Hey Curtis been watching your videos for a while and i gotta say that the quality of them keep getting better and better each video you upload keep it up you will be big for sure
thank you so so much, these detailed guides are for sure the best champion guides out there. My gameplay has improved so so much thanks to you, youre actually mega underrated.
It's season 11, but when it comes to gameplay and champion guides no one does it better than Coach Curtis. His runes/items are outdated, but the champion identity guide just cant be gotten anywhere else.
Dude, I've told you before but your guides are incredible. You are on the same level as LS (imo,) minus the arrogance or assuming we already know things because they are obvious to you. Thanks for the content mate. Great work.
Thanks so much!! I play wild rift. And finding in depth guides for season 10 items helps so so so so so much. And at that a 3 hour guide on how to play this champ is so nice. I always hated my team losing me the game before I could really help as a kennen/annie/camille main but even though that still happens I feel more in control while it happens
Great guide. Super detailed (and long), but at the same time digestible enough to watch all the way through. I'm a former diamond 1 player returning to the game after a 7 season break and this video helps a lot with regaining the mindset I used to have when playing mid lane.
Came for the tips, stayed for your drawings hahahahahaha TF was one of the first champions I've ever got, but I never got my head around his kit. Maybe it's finally time to play in my Yu-Gi-Oh fantasies, Coach!
Awesome! Been waiting for this one. Your vids have helped me so much since I switched to mid a few weeks ago. I'm still bad, but your general mid guides have been really helpful in teaching me what to pay attention to and work on. Still struggling to get a decent champ pool, feel like I can only perform on Viktor. Maybe this will help me figure out TF cuz he seems so cool.
wow 1st i come here for mid tips and help i guess any video few mn or something but 3 hours holy smokes you the best .and you really explane every small tips ty
broooo iam so much better, the tip with holding the w, is so underrated and what u said about the waves helped me alot too sry for my english but i rly wanted to ty iam so much better now with tf only cause of this video
Pullin a Curtis marathon this week, hopefully I'll hit that challenger coz I'm stuck in D1. Keep up with the content man, I've already learned so much from you it's insane!
an almost 3 HOURS long video ???? bruh Coach is a legend . Also hopefully we get a video explaining early waves sequencing depending on the mid and jugle matchups
What a great video! This was the first of your videos I have watched but I can say one thing and that is that it wont be the last :D Keep up the great work!!
Curtis your guides are amazing I watched your zed guide and I started getting amazing kda's with zed and finding a lot of success and as Im watching this guide Im confident that ill find success on TF
I like to add a rapid fire cannon for my 5th or 6th item as the extra range and damage helps mid-late game picking, it's also helping you kite well while being AP, not to mention you're getting a lot more stacked deck's off. Edit: You can activate W and then R to where you need to be, you can still choose a card in the middle of R animation and you can also see which card it's currently rotating on by looking at your skill bar and seeing the colors change on your W box. This helps so you don't need to choose a card beforehand, allowing you to keep your screen on the fight, saving time and keeps your W up for longer.
Interestingly I find that while I don't care much for soloq, a lot of Curtis' lectures have very good concepts which can be applied universally. I find my quality of life and overall outlook on the world improving because of them
I discovered the beauty of attack speed twisted fate about a week ago, so this has been really helpful to get better and potentially tilt the enemy botlane into oblivion :D
Thanks for the awesome, incredibly helpful videos, Coach Curtis. I am getting back into LoL, and your videos are going to make that much, much more efficient and more quickly.
About the EU challenger guy that got rank 1 running Electrocute + Nimbus Cloak, I believe he plays TF very differently from everyone else. People are used to TF being a champion that plays around waves and control, so nobody expects him to play aggressively and try to bully them hard. That's why he runs an extremely aggressive rune page with Nimbus + Scorch secondary, double adaptive and starts with Doran's Ring, he could straight up one shot people at 60-70% health. I tried it a couple of times and it actually works although I dislike it cause you feel very vulnerable if you don't get that kill. I think that this is a wrong way to play TF on paper, but because nobody will respect your damage enough it ends up working very well.
Heres a funny story, i used to be an adc main , i quit the game for a while but i knew of your channel since your DW departure , then i decided to learn midlane after playing again and saw that faker said tf should be known by all midlaners because you learn how to watch the minimap properly, then i see that you have a 3 hour guide on him, i'm diving in coach wish me luck XD
The gank you died to at around 1:53:00 - I think when you suspect that lucian is staying top. which you said yourself probably means kennen is coming mid, you can either path closer to your turret (lower chance of them getting that flank) or you can use your ulti when you start walking - your range is comfortably close, that you have time to walk close enough (or in this case, walk away since you see the kennen and evelynn next to you). When walking to lane you also saw that graves was taking the raptors, meaning evelynn has not been there recently (ergo - is probably coming there soon, especially with your bot being so extended).
Hey Curtis, appreciate the updated guide. I learned a lot. I don't think Akali is currently in your pool as far as I know, but if you could one day do a video like this on her that would be amazing. Thanks again for everything you do, you're the best league youtuber in the world.
Wow very good and informative video , u basically explained how macro works and how u should just look for the oportunities and ults for winning lane what most of the low elo players dont do. Low elo players should find this guild , keep up in this content !
Hey can we get an update for season 11 on this? Like a mini vid on items or any stuff changed that would impact this massive TF knowledge you dropped on us? Much thanks either way :)
I started my journey of actually trying to learn League in July. After years of playing the game casually I hit plat for the first time earlier this week and I'm still climbing. People complain about elo hell while answers are right in from of them on youtube. I can't stress enough how amazing your content is. Thanks Coach! o7
@Coach Curtis, thanks for this video, even though you have a ton of TF content, a sort of "roundup" video was needed. Talking about the electrocute rune page, you mention the "EU Challenger guy" and how he goes elec and then dorans and has to back. If you are talking about Crossman/Burak, i've watched quite a lot of his replays. His strategy is simple, he's looking to either make a play in lane with jungler or in the scuttle skirmish as soon as possible so he wants the bonus AP and HP. As for being pushed out, this sometimes does happen to him, but he "mitigates" that by buying Swifties first item and essentially being able to get back into lane fast (he also has relentless hunter). It's definitely a very unique playstyle and not one that even most D1+ TF mains can master.
I understand if you’re not a fan of the champ or don’t feel in a position to make one, but I personally would love to see an Aurelion Sol guide. He doesn’t have much content since his big W changes a while back.
My favorite champ of 7 years and I can never feel like playing him due to OP champs and alot of zoning and rotation from enemy team. Gambit needs a better deck in hand to make a full house, because he flops inconsistently in my hands.
Yeah... About at 1:40-40 That's not a bad ultimate because it was a great moment to show pressure. On a psychological level, that will have possibly changed the way they played the lane allowing them to gain an advantage due to the enemy team being more cautious about what they're doing. ^^ I'm enjoying this.
