Official banned Music Video from "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure". Eccentric man-child Pee-Wee Herman embarks on the big adventure of his life across the US mainland, as he sets out to find his beloved bike, when it is stolen in broad daylight.
I was five years old when this movie came out and I first saw it, and this was the song that made me fall completely in love with metal ... to this day I still adore it, and I have Twisted Sister and Pee-wee Herman to thank for that! cheers guys
@@HumppaBulgaria How..if you were behind the iron curtain were you able to see this movie? Also are you still living over there? Are you safe? What do you tnink of what Russia is doing? Sorry for all the questions i got nor but ....
+Alexander Steiner Yeah I never quite got the controversy. An Adult masturbating in an Porn theatre? Really? That's like being shocked to see people leaving a church on Sunday.
+Jeff Camire Apparently from what I understand he wasn't even in the actual theatre, he was in the lobby and got caught up in the raid..wrong place, wrong time..and there is (allegedly) film of this from security surveillance cameras... but by the time the facts about this came out, the damage was already done..shame because I thought he was really funny...
Well, there was also the child porn controversy in the early 2000's. One person said that there were three Hollywood celebrities charged with child porn at that time, one of them went to jail, and two of them, Paul Reubens and Jeffrey Jones, got probation only because of their fame and fortune. Whether everything that person said was true, I have no idea.
The juxtaposition of Pee Wee and Twisted Sister was pure genius. Both remain true American icons, IMHO. Pee-Wee's Big Adventure is one of my guilty pleasures to this day, and Twisted Sister and Dee Snider still put a smile on my face. I could spend an entire day eating guilty food and watching unlimited videos of both. 'IWANNAROCK'
Dude, don't let this be a guilty pleasure! Tell the world! This love is an bonafide 80s classic! The bar scene, the chase, the cameos, let alone the woman who plays Dottie voices Tommy Pickles in Rugrats!
I thought Paul Reuben did a great job acting in the true story movie🎥 entitled “Blow” starring Johnny Depp who played George Jung who was a massive drug dealer in the 70’s & 80’s & dealt with Colombian drug king pin Paulo Escobar 😳
My daughter is almost 9 and I shared this movie with her as a father's day gift to myself. Pee-wee going through the billboard on the motorcycle never gets old LOL
When Twisted Sister opened for Iron Maiden in 1983 I had zero interest in them but man they rocked and held their own I was very impressed, in particular with the power of this song and the power of the kick drums! R.I.P. A.J. Pero.
Sorry friend, but that wasn't 1983.. Twisted Sister opened for Maiden on the 1984-85 World Slavery tour supporting the album Powerslave which wasn't released until late 1984. And yes, the show was flipping amazing. Glad to be able to say I was there, one of the three (or four?) times I saw Maiden live.
I don't know about anywhere else, but in London it was Grand Prix that opened for Maiden on the 1983 World Peace Tour. I saw Twisted Sister that year too, and from what I remember they were at the old Marquee in London. But I may be mistaken, it was a long time ago. I think I saw Quiet Riot around that time too. Anyone remember them?
You seen Maiden in the tour of Piece of Mind or in the Powerslave one, you lucky bastard, with TS opening! 🙂I were a little child back then. I guess it has been priceless, as an experience. Glad for you, man!
@@MichaelMaxwell747 I truly believe that it was a big discover. A school mate at 12 handed me EXACTELY THE TWO BANDS/ALBUMS: Stay Hungry and Blackout, and they changed my Life. He sold me S.H. vinyl and tape recerded B.O. . More than thirty years later, they are still some of my favourite albums ever.
@Nate Dee so what? i dont fucking care about politics but somehow you extremist shitheads just find a way to weasel it into every fucking thing. get a hold of yourselves, i dont care if you are republican or democrat, just fuck off with your bullshit already.
Dee Snider sounds prophetic as I am going through some the lyrics, it's crazy. "We're not going to take it," is half the nations anthem, even those who took it under duress or faith seem to echo that song now. I know people leaving science and med even if they took it or are not being fired. Ethics I guess, "do no wrong." Those are my heroes. What's broken needs to end so better can take it's place. My friends feeling like they need to keep what's broken on life support with compromise are killing more in the long run. Truth always wins out over the lies shoved down our throats. "We've got the right to choose it There ain't no way we'll lose it This is our life, this is our song We'll fight the powers that be just Don't pick our destiny 'cause You don't know us, you don't belong We're not gonna take it Oh no, we ain't gonna take it We're not gonna take it anymore Oh, you're so condescending Your gall is never ending We don't want nothin', not a thing from you Your life is trite and jaded Boring and confiscated If that's your best, your best won't do"
@@SRose-vp6ew His song The Price is way better but it's years old & Twisted Sister is defunct now which is a shame but he's an individual musician singer now doing solo albums and touring under them.
Blessed am I to have seen Twisted Sister live outdoors on a beautiful summer night. One of my top ten witnessed performances of all time. I had no idea how amazing it would be. Oh, Ace Frehley was there too! 🇺🇸
I too was lucky enough to see them in their prime, they were on the bill with Dokken and Y&T, still one of the best shows I can remember from the 80's!!!
I first saw them live in 1985, when they opened for Iron Maiden at the Cow Palace. They were great! My main memory was Dee went off on this really long rant more or less about the state of metal at the time, and then they went into this song. Memories!
Twisted sister was the greatest hair metal band of all time without question. Dee Snider was able to evolve with the times, remaining relevant long after the hair metal fad ended. Even to to this day the man looks great and keeps busy, That straight edge lifestyle really paid off. Dee is an absolute legend that doesn't get enough credit.
They're not a hair metal band.. They looked the part and had a gimmick but compare their music to any of those hair metal bands like Ratt or Cinderella and they're not even close
@@TMSAustralia dude, they're most definitely a hair metal band 😆 but I will give it to you, they are teetering in the middle one could compare them among a Quiet Riot / a Ratt in style sound image, but most definitely considered a hair band none the less.
RIP Paul Reubens ✌ I loved this movie as a kid and as an adult I grew to have a lot of respect for Dee Snider and Twisted Sister. Plus this is one of their most kickass songs!
Recently realized, this song is not just a part in the movie; it is a song explaining the movie. Have loved this song and movie for a long time, just never made the connection b4. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE LYRICS!!!
Growing up as a child and not being exposed to this kind of music, I FELL in LOVE with this song.. My mom would be so mad that I loved it.. I'll NEVER forget the part where this song comes in.. Lmao.. Good times!!
I was in a thrash band in the early 90's. Whenever we'd stage our own gigs, beore we came on we'd play a mixed tape through the p.a. for a couple hours before we started. I always snuck this song in. My bandmates always got mad cause they didn't think it was cool enough. I didn't care. I loved this song then, I love it now.
I remember watching this when it first came out in 1985 in the school auditorium. They played this for us at least once a month and everyone loved it. The song kicked ass and still does
First off, AJ's drums on this sing are freaking incredible. Secondly, this version is a little different than the album, maybe edited for time or something. Bought Stay Hungry in 1984 and know it like the back of my hand.
I just turned 48 this month and this brings me back to so MANY awesome, fun times when i was a teenager! I miss my pal Patty (R.I.P. "Party Pat")! We'd go to the beach every weekend to get drunk And stoned! I KNEW of this song and this group WAY BEFORE it ever came out on Pee-Wee's Movie! "The Price" is ALSO another Awesome T.S. song! I WISH so very much that i could go back in time, back to the 80s (BEST TIMES for me) AND go back to all the FUN parties, all-nighters at the beach, dances, etc., that we used to go to (to get drunk And stoned) AND do it all over again, lmao! Have a FUN weekend to all you "kiddies"! :-D Be safe, stay OUT of trouble and stay AWAY from hell, hoooorraaaah! :-)
And?? What do you want me to do about it?? I do NOT care that you're 9 years old. I was NOT making a comment for YOU to read, so CHILL OUT "hot-head"! I was making a statement OnlY to those folks who have NEVER ever heard about this COOL song, Not until "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" Movie came out! I was letting THEM know that i knew about this song waaaaaay BEFORE this Movie came out, so just CHILL Out! ok? NO need to get all pissed off at me, geeeeez! So long then.
Welcome to the abandoned land Come on in child, take my hand Here there's no work or play, only one bill to pay There's just five words to say as you go down, down, down You're gonna burn in hell Oh, burn in hell You can't believe all the things I've done wrong in my life Without even trying I've lived on the edge of a knife Well, I've played with fire, but I don't want to get myself burned To thine own self be true, so I think that it's time for a turn Before I burn in hell Oh, burn in hell Take a good look in your heart, tell me what do you see It's black and it's dark, now is that how you want it to be? It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate Make your choice now for tomorrow may be far too late And then you'll burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you (oh, burn in hell) Lay no evil down on me (you're gonna burn in hell) Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you (oh, burn in hell) Play with evil, 'cause I'm free Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you Lay no evil down on me (you're gonna burn in hell) Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you Play with evil, 'cause I'm free (you're gonna burn in hell) (2x) Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you (oh, burn in hell) Lay no evil down on me (you're gonna burn in hell) Speak no evil, don't you Think no evil, don't you (oh, burn in hell) Play with evil, 'cause I'm free You're gonna burn in hell Hear no evil, don't you See no evil, don't you (oh, burn in hell) Lay no evil down on me
@@pauljones364it is not satanic, it just talks about evil and how it will take you down to hell, i mean, it is not praising hell or the devil, you know?
One of the Greatest movies ever! I loved it as a kid and it is still in my top 10 as an adult! This song is for the people who tried to ruin Paul Ruebins back in the day. Long live Pee Wee!
I think this song and the Twisted Sister scene was actually one of my favorite parts of this movie. The clowns, scary surgeon and Large Marge freaked me out, Large Marge's scary face she made was another reason why I had troubles sleeping that night. Who'da thunk a little kids favorite part of this movie was the performance of a song called 'Burn In Hell' by a heavy metal band. That probably explains why I like this genre so much.
Stay Hungry was raw from start to finish. There was no bad song on that album. Francis was one of the greatedt villains ever. To this day, I use the phrase "Exhibit Q!" and the analogy of saving the snakes! Thanks for posting👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
you should check out the History of making Stay Hungry and how it almost didnt even happen... Its fascinating how much shit these guys had to go through to get a record deal, even they though had been dominating the East Coast music scene for a decade, making more money live than a lot of bands who were labeled.
this has to be the first heavy metal song I ever heard, thanks to Pee Wee. this is, as far as I know, the reason I got into this type of music. Thank you
I love TS! I never had the honor to see them live, (back in the 80s, I couldn't go to concerts), but I did watch a TS concert in the early days of MTV. My dad was sleeping on the couch, so I had to keep the volume low. He woke at the tail end of the concert, and was shocked to see the band. I said, "It's a TS concert. I keep the volume low to not disturb you.", and my dad replied, "That was very thoughtful of you, but if you were really thoughtful, you'd turn this off." My dad was pretty cool when it came to music through the 50s-80s. Even though he didn't care for Def Leppard, Ozzy Ozbourne, Van Halen, etc, when people mentioned them, and other bands, artists, whether he liked them, or not, he did know of whom you were speaking. Then the 90s arrived, and he became officially clueless! He passed in 2008, and while we had our problems, there was a lot of music we both liked, and enjoyed together.
Curious if anyone knows where this cut of Burn in Hell is taken from? It's definately not from the studio album. I really love it. Its more raw than the album version
It's from their 2004 album Still Hungry, which had re-recorded versions of all the songs from Stay Hungry, plus some bonus tracks. And I agree with you, this version is superb.
These were fantastic times. First album I ever bought for myself at 10yo. Remember when rock was music was the biggest threat to America and Christianity? Turns out it was the government that was satanic, not the music.

.....so, back in the day, I was playing this in the car and my father (who was 55 at the time) was singing along too. Pure rock n' roll theatre with deep-rooted musical ability, that's why Twisted Sister and Alice Cooper were big in the U.K. ..... pure musical ability! There was a lot of stiff competition in the UK at the time so other bands that might've been big elsewhere didn't enjoy the same success there. Still Twisted!
Even if they're old now (60y for D Snider ^^) they rock like hell. I just saw them in Belgium at the Graspop, I've been waiting for so long to see them, and it was totally worth it, that was just the best show of the festival !!! Energy, power, they know how to sell it. And that song is just....awesome !!! Long live the Twister Sister !!!
Oh man. One of my all time favorite movies ever. One of Tim Burton's best. Large Marge. Lol. That shit scared so many kids at sleep overs. And twisted sister. Check out the " the price" if you don't know it. It's their ballad, but it's really a good song
To Lebzul Dark Ambient-The song done here is from their 2004 album called still hungry. This is the way that they WANTED to do this song when they did the stay hungry album back in 1984, but the record company that they were with (Atlantic) said no, and Twisted Sister was forced to do a lighter version of this song. In 2004, when Twisted Sister put out their album, Still Hungry, all of the songs on Still Hungry were redone the way that they were originally written and rehearsed. Still Hungry is much heavier, scarier, and has much bigger balls than Stay Hungry ever did!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Jason Odermatt I believe thats what he meant...it's on both albums but the version used here is the re-recording of the song from 2004's Still Hungry album which contains the Stay Hungry songs recorded as the band would have liked to have recorded them back in 1984, but were unable to for whatever record company related reason..you both said the same thing basically. Cheers
wasn't it Atlantic Records? I think I saw somewhere an album released called 'The Atlantic Years'. Supposedly Atlantic wanted them to present a lighter image of themselves and their music.
As long as we're nit-picking... Slayer definitely isn't heavy metal either - they're thrash metal. Being labeled "heavy metal" doesn't automatically make something good or bad.
Slice Heavy Metal, Hair Metal, whatever. The point is that all forms of Metal were better back in the 1980's (and early 90's!) than what it is today. That even goes for a couple of Glam Metal bands that didn't make me puke.
GOFLuvr same. I hate most of the 80s glam metal or ggethair metal shit, but a few bands are great, or had some great records. Early Motley Crue, GnR, Skid Row, W.A.S.P. and indeed Twisted Sister are all pretty awesome
Not that evil crap that has no talent being forcefed down our throats by the industry. This is the type of Metal to which a REAL MAN listened back in the day. Time to bring back that Metal attitude and show the world what REAL TUNEAGE is all about. May God richly bless you for recognizing what true music really should sound like.
Great movie. With the best band ever .TWISTED SISTER.😊😊 I used to go see them at The night owl in Norwalk Ct every thursday night back in the day.I have all there albums.😊😊
Someone's gotta tell me where this version of the track is from?! It's KILLER!!!! A song culled from a time of bush parties, house parties, car parties in the high school parking lot... Kids today got so ripped off, they won't have most of that fun now. We needed a cautionary tale of a song or two, and this was a beauty.
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure: The Snider Cut Snider: We were just making a video and then some guy ran through on his bike and then the devil and dinosaur monsters showed up.
I love how the chorus goes into a single line of More Than A Feeling. Uncle Tom's Cabin... ["I know a secret down in uncle Tom's cabin"] More Than A Feeling... ["I know a secret that I just cant tell"] Uncle Tom's Cabin... ["I know a secret down in uncle Tom's cabin. Know who put the bodies in the wishing well."] Warrent had so many great songs, but this and Down Boys is my favorite. I think it is the key/tone changes in between the verses and during the choruses. In Down Boys, it's the "Youuuuuu. Can we rewind to where weve been" part. It's simple stuff, but they dress it up so nice, it should be a teen movie about an "ugly" girl.
+Alexander Steiner One of the few true joys in life is seeing your child get enjoyment from the same thing you enjoyed as a child. I outgrew Pee Wee decades ago. But to see my boy enjoy it years later is satisfying.
