Yeah the "it doesn't matter who donated" line bugged me. It does matter when someone makes a promise to do a thing but they don't do it or they spend what could've potentially have been donated on frivolous things/people. Although I do understand that in some cases you have to network and build up goodwill to get people on your side who has the influence that'll draw in more eyes, attention, and money. This may be what they were attempting but bet with too high of expectations.

When I was in my upper teenager years, I did theatre work. I was fairly good, we had a group composed of students, professionals, and professors - since it was an after-school activity - and our earnings went to charity. None of us were paid. Because that's how charity works. The only person we paid was the professional who invested their time teaching us and the owners of the theatre that gave us space. We paid it with the money allocated by the school to the project. Because that's what charity is: you invest your own money so that other people throw money at your project, and that money then goes to charity.

Ian contacted each of those charities and told them money would be raised and proceeds would be donated, he failed to make each one of those donations. Froggy is rightfully concerned with why only one charity gets the payout from that stream and viewers wanting to donate directly to those charities dont have an easy way to do that (with his one at least). Ian&anisa are probably more concerned with some of the money going to a corrupt charity someone happened to pick while froggy has a specific organization he believes. At the end of the day both of these pointing at money they convinced others to donate. They *raised* that number but they *donated* they're time and endorsement to do that

You know what these "charity" events remind me of me going to say a McDonald's and the cashier asking me to donate one dollar to X charity. Keem actually makes a really good point in that the money donated comes from the fans, yet it's the influencers who end up reaping all the reward as if they donated with their own money. Really comes to light when Harley says Ian raised the money on the livestream, when actually it was the fans.
Always great to see money donated to charity but it’s very surprising to me that Idubbz or anyone on his team couldn’t just tell the lady to make an account for donations in whatever call she got about it.
