Two Guys Broke Into And Then Explored An Abandoned Mansion In Houston

Little did this guy know that when he and two friends found themselves at a fair in the shadow of the abandoned Astrodome, that they would find what they did. It turns out that a small hole in the fence led to a concourse that, to their amazement, led them directly out onto the field. Yes, the field of the old Houston Astrodome. Once inside, to their disbelief, they had free reign to explore the entire stadium, which oddly had most of the lights on. Here’s what they had to say:

I agree that our vets deserve everything we can give them. But ya know what I think this home should really be for? Anything the person who worked their hard jobs, purchased the land, and spent their own money to have it built should do with it. Even he wants to just let it sit there and dry rot? He owns it, and is his do as he wishes. He may already give millions to charity? The Government should take care of our veterans, unless every citizen will allow a homeless person to move in with them? Our citizens talk, and have great opinions on what they think someone else should do, but they not ever personally do anything. What the doctor and his wife do with that property? Is his business alone...sadly

When we were living in Pearland we did go into this place while it was still under construction. There was also an elevator, as well, perhaps a a second one. This was around 2003. I remember the inside pool. A local doctor was having this place built.

This is crazy I am a realtor and live by this home. I drive by this house every day and they just added a school near by. It looks like they are actually starting to build more to the home. Its VERY massive especially for this area and stands out. This makes me want to make a video of all the crazy places I come across. Hakeem also does not live there he lived by Sugar Creek in a very spooky wooded home. I may just be getting a camera sooner than I thought.

Even if this house weren't abandoned, it would still look cheap and tacky. Cheap materials, bad design, it's all just hideous. Just because a house is big does not mean it is nice.

I have been to that location once, not a lot happened but we ran to the mansion instead of walking. You can hear random things in this place but the mansion was never bought and was left abandoned.

buildings like this, are constantly being touted as ''Oh, yes, we're going to build a mall, with lost cost condo homes above to house the homeless''. Yeah, whatever, if ANYONE has one of these completed, functioning secenarios to show me, I'd love to see one.

Oh man 15 acres could’ve been a good plot of land to put apartments on or make a subdivision with good I said 30 maybe 40 homes it depends on the scale of the home, but I certainly would keep the big building because if it’s already got it a pool in it or it may just have to do the finishes Put in a gym maybe make two separate conference areas make one big reception area, clean up and make a garden of some sort to where you can put a tent out or if it’s good days and sunny where you can actually do a garden wedding ceremony under a nice gazebo This would’ve been an absolute gorgeous community if anybody was actually thinking street 29 years ago, and even if he wanted to make an assisted living suit facility for people in his care, he still could’ve made that big home and he probably would’ve been overrun and ended up probably making at least five or six more homes, big buildings of the same size around the prop 15 acre property and he still were proud of been overrun with patients or people wanting to live in the community

city sprawl is surrounding it now.. there are so many group /long term care homes in those hoa neighborhoods.. there is a long term care facility next to the costco that is near this building.

This place still today 11/19/2020 is still vacant. It was owned by a pediatrician. They tried to sell it to open it for a rehab but it also never worked out as it was to big. The pool was modified for therpy. The owners lived in the smaller house on the property. Sadly it needs to be torn down due to the storage lay out.

Question : why is it called both Pearland and Manvel ? Also when Houston has floods, is this area affected ?

@@robertsteinbuch3926 Manville is a small town. Pearland is a larger city, so it would only make more sense to market it in Pearland where there’s more things to do. No this is far enough away from Houston -45 minutes or so that it’s not affected by the slide at all. The only reason that he’s so affected by the flood is because it’s all concrete and there’s no place for the water to drain. But this home is out in the country.

@@robertsteinbuch3926 I’m not sure. It is out in the country. There are no restrictions, HOA’s etc. you can basically do whatever you want as long as it is legal. And at one time it was going to be a rehabilitation center, so that would not be a single family dwelling. We have a bit over 110 acres, we have our living quarters on top of the shop. It is a ranching business.

Like Jess M. said basically out and out burglary everyone seems so proud of themselves and perhaps some of you might take issue if clowns like these would enter your property to have a look see and then tear the place up. If you're so inquisitive consider asking the realtor I'm sure they'd be more the happy to show it to you as opposed to, let's say, what's pretty much obvious, reiterating, out and out burglary...

I wonder if there are any dangers inside an abandoned building-rats,homeless folks with guns, loose boards, etc. that could cause injury to one. That's the dangers people face going inside abandoned malls too.

Most of the refugees who moved to other countries not really like it there anyway. They sure don't want to assimilate into others cultures, they mostly just want to change it. The government should make better programs to help the homeless. Since the doctor and his wife still own the property from my research? They should be allowed to do with it as they wish i think, even if it just sits there and rots. Of course in a few years with all of the juvenile punks breaking and entering, destroying the place? It won't be good for anything anyway....smile Besides, it's easy for others to have an opinion about what others do with there property...Sadly not many opinionated citizens will just allow someone homeless to move in their home will they?

Well, that still does not make sense. Why would you put a second building? That means you have to read just go back to the architect and tell him what you need for the building which he should’ve known by now and just readjust the plans maybe you could help more it sounds like you said it was too big for the purpose you were actually having was good, I mean so I’m wondering what happened you run out of money so now we can see have a nine garage

The same people show they still own this facility. Proper research would of course show that though. As for the urban punks who are not only trespassing, but they are also guilty of breaking and entering, and destroying private property. They should be arrested. Someone else owns it, and it isn't the young punks property, so get the hell out. Is this really the kind of thing our younger generation thinks is ok to do now? If it isn't yours? Keep your hands off of it. In your video? Which seems to say it's ok to just do what you want to others property is ok? You can see the damage to the place, inside and out because of the little genetic misfits illegal acts.
