Heartstopper is a show on Netflix about two of the best boys we've ever seen just trying to find love and be happy. Try getting through this without crying... Follow us on IG: - @corywolberg - @nickzhuravlev
Extremely disappointed you didn’t watch the entire series. This series just had so many emotional and magical moments that so much of the context was lost. That said, you guys are hilarious
They never finish watching any of the series that are shown in their videos. This is because it would take an extremely long amount of time to produce every video, it's easier to edit 1 hr of content than 10-15 hours and try to cram it all in one video.
@@sophiaarriaza4100 others have managed to fit their edited reactions to this whole show into one 40-50 minute video, so it's 100% possible. some ppl have also done two or three episodes per video bc the episodes are so short. the show itself is roughly 4 hours long and the episodes are maybe 20-25 minutes long, minus the credits, sometimes shorter. but it's still a lot of effort so i get why not. i hope they watch the rest of the show by themselves because it does mean they miss a lot of context and it sort of suffers when you don't have a connection to the characters journey.
never in a million years did i expect y’all would be reacting to heartstopper but omfg i’m so excitedddd and y’all have to react to young royals too it’s another mlm show and equally adorable
But as a swede I have to say that if they react to Young royals they need to see it in swedish with english subtitles. The emotions are more real in the original language :)
As a Gay Trans man, I can probably confirm that I am the one dude who does watch you two and I am proud to be that exception to the rule. Also, couple things: 1. The situation with Ben and Charlie *happens more often than you think Except we don't have a Nick to come in and help us most of the time.* 2. most gays worst nightmare is to be asked to join a *sports team*-avoid at all costs because that is where a lot of the toxic heteros are. 3. Being gay (and for me, trans) in High School can be isolating as F***.
Not to take anything away from you but I thought what you said was pretty well known? It seems to be all around content that's been created in the past 10 or so years.
@@kuivia In my experience Not really. Every straight person I have met has told me “things are better now. Stop worrying. We won’t regress” and I have to sit there and remind them how trans kids are literally being attacked by their own government in Texas and the can’t say gay bill when everyone told me “that would never pass”. It can and it would. I was right. People think that just because we have the right to marry means everything is dandy, the finer details are lost on situations such as Ben and Charlie. Everyone tells me I’m overreacting because I’m worrying about gay marriage being overturned-as if roe vs Wade being overturned hasn’t set a precedent. If it doesn’t affect a person, people are most likely not going to understand and will downplay it. Even if it was, That doesn’t mean I can’t reiterate it. Every experience is different even if the loneliness a queer kid feel is the same/similar. Most people who are not apart of the community don’t realize how common it is and how dangerous it is (regarding the situation with Ben and Charlie). Honestly its something you don’t understand unless you experience it yourself. Also tbh this series lays it on thick that Ben is an asshole. In real life people are more savvy about hiding how much of a dick they are. They drag you on a string because they hit pressure points that they know will work. I’ve had a dude tell me that “no one would want to go out with me” because I’m trans and that I didn’t have “the goods gay men looked for” but that I needn’t worry “because he liked me” Also, most of the time, we never have a Charlie to come and save us. I didn’t. And the situation ends up escalating from there. If anything, that shit never happens around people but rather when youre alone.
@@desmondandtheirqueerdragons For sure things are not great I just felt the knowledge of what can happen and how bad things can be for people in those situations was spreading around alot around media but you'd probably know better.
This video shows us that Pride Month is never over and Allies should be supportive all year long. Please watch the entire show and you will really love it.
If it's an all year long thing then why have a month for it......it's crazy how gay and other unique folks get the best month of the year while black people have the most miserable one when they they've been enslaved for centuries and what's even more crazy is how lgbt folks got more things done in 60 years then any other group people have ever.
@@layton6202 unique folks? huh- and it's not the best month, even tho they get a month, they still get hate, death threats, and so on. Some people have it worse, because they're "Unique" and please don't bring a month about race to a month about sexuality or finding themselves
finally you guys have watched something that's actually not terrible 💀 this show is actually so wholesome it makes me depressed. I was like nick the whole time "give me a shot im gonna cry"
I'm straight......and I've seen it too. Probably one of THE best shows around and i cannot wait to watch season 2. It was so lovely and so wholesome and the way they hug a lot made me feel so warm and cuddly inside. They're THE cutest couples ever!!! 🥰🥺
@@girlactic1743 I saw it, it was adorable. It's really worth watching for anybody. As a straight ally im also trying to learn more about lgbtq+ and from what I've heard the representation here is actually good and realatable for other lgbtq+ people, so that's awesome to learn from.
They said Charlie needs a big brother to protect him and I just wanna say, he has a big sister who will kill for him, the stuff she says and does (especially to Nick's brother) on Charlie's behalf is iconic. Tori appreciation club 🥤 Edit: Also "ben hope you get by a car" is amazing
i always forget not to eat while watching your videos, because you either talk about poop, or it makes me laugh so hard my soup comes out of my nose. 11/10
As a gay guy, it feels really nice to see two straight (actually handsome hehe) guys enjoy and appreciate a gay romance show. This show is so much much important for a lot of gay / LGBTQ+ people because it's portrays homosexuality / being LGBTQ+ in a positive way. Too often, in TV series, gays are inexistants or when they are, there is a lot of problems about them being homosexuals. Them being rejected, them being depressed, sad, being over sexualized, dealing with drugs,AIDS, and thing of this sort. And it doesn't help young gay kids who find out their sexuality to feel better and accept themselves as they are. Before this show, they couldn't find a positive story to relate too. Most TV shows where kind of saying, in a way "your life will suck because you're gay, and you'll never be happy". But you can be happy and being gay. Being gay simply means that you have deferent tastes, that instead of loving consenting partners of the opposite sex, you love consenting partners of the same sex. And it shouldn't be such a big deal in the western world in the XXIst century. You cannot imagine how good this show felt for a lot of gay people. You, straight people, are used to see this kind of happy, maybe too good to be true, but happy and kind of a "fairy tales" show. We aren't. And hence why this show is important. But you really should have seen the show from the beginning to the end. It's a really joyful show, and it could make any openminded person smile. If one day you have kids and you feel like they might be gay, I think this is the show to make them watch. Just to make them understand that you're open minded, and to make them feel good. Anyway, it's nice to see two "stereotypically" straight guys at least giving it a try and watching at this show with an open mind and not just to make "fun" of the "gay show". Thank you guys, you seem like nice dudes. Hi from France 😘
You guys must understand that this show is so beloved becase we never really had that romance time in our life as straight people do , so this is everything we never had
I’m a gay American male baby boomer and a huge fan of Heartstopper. I wish that I could have had a romance like that in the 70s when I was in high school. But I did have one that came close to it in college. This is my first time watching your channel - and you guys kept me laughing out loud. You had just the right combination of outrageous humor and compassion. I’m subscribing to your channel.
"This is so wholesome. It hurts." Nick summarizing my entire watching experience. (Minus the parts where people were being dicks to Charlie, then it just regular hurt.) Love, LOVE this show, devoured it. It's so pure I could feel it scrubbing away at my dark, smutty soul
I was shocked that you guys said that only girls watch your videos because I expected your audience to be all dudes so I always felt like I was one of the only few chicks here but I was wrong lol
Needed something that makes laugh after Netflix destroyed me with that Stranger Things 4 finale. Thank you guys! I loved Heartstopper and this reaction too. You guys rock!
"They don't have to be daddies in this situation! They can both be...good boys." 😂 You guys are awesome, I love how this gets progressively better with every drink 😂❤
i am PRAYING and HOPING that you watched the rest of the series. it really is a great show with amazing character development and writing and it has a lot of really cute and wholesome moments :)
idk who these guys are, but as a heart stopper fanatic...when he said he was gonna take a shot everytime the show made him feel good i laughed. i'd be drunk in 10 minutes
This video was pure gold, I just wish you guys had seen the whole series but I know it’s a lot of time, I swear it really has wholesome moments you just lost a lot of context, but I really loved this video
I would personally love to see you react to the whole series! There is a lot in there about Nick figuring out who he is, working out that his friends aren't really the kind of people he likes and working out how to step out of the straight boy box he's been put in his whole life. As a couple of guys who look pretty committed to the boy box, I'd love to see what you think of those moments 😊
u guys r always reminding me why i don’t want to be friends w straight cis men how can u make such a wholesome and sweet show about teenagers this sexual💀💀
that's the thing about Heartstopper: it's not sexual, and that's like a breath of fresh air. I hate the over-sexualization of teenagers. I find it gross and don't understand why people wanna see sexually active children.
i had a situation just like nick and charlie in high school, except for me i got rejected and it never worked out and we fell out of touch for 6 years but then reconnected fairly recently and she asked me out last night :,) how’s that for a netflix plot
@@layton6202 sounds like it, right? i wish youtube would let me post pics like of the screenshots because it sounds unbelievable, she didn’t ask me out just immediately tho we’ve been talking pretty frequently for a couple months
It's actually one of the most wholesome shows on television. Love that it represents so many things you know you got your gay romance you got your lesbian romance and you got the trans girl who falls in love with her best friend. It's too cute.
Most of our beaches are sand! This looks like Brighton, which is pebbly. And yes, he's obviously been to the beach before. He was just surprised they were there (although I don't know how because at the very least he'd have heard the train station announcement 😂)
I WANTED YOU GUYS TO REACT TO THIS FOR SO LONG BUT THEN AGAIN I WAS LIKE HOW IS THAT GONNA WORK SINCE IT'S SO WHOLESOME BUT YOU GUYS THIS VIDEO IS PROBABLY GONNA MAKE MY LIL HEART BURST OF JOY THANK YOU !!!!
they are set in a fictional town in Kent, which is right by the south east coast of Britain. so they're actually very close to the beach (but english beaches are rocky monstrosities)
it's like you're my older brothers and I've had a really bad day, and I'm sitting between you watching the show, you're each holding a hand, and i want to feel so sad, but you're so funny that I'm cracking up. So, here and now, it's like you're two straight guys showing love and understanding and that's so real and good.
OK I also have to say I’m legit sad that you guys didn’t watch each episode because there was more kissing and honestly the hand holding the back of the neck is about 50% between Nick and Charlie. Which I guess means they are both each others bitch. I’m going to say thats healthy for a relationship!
@@Sherdelune yes, the rain scene from ep 4 is amazing! Every reactor has loved it I really would’ve wanted them to see it. You know it’s interesting. a lot of people have brought up …they just agreed to keep it a secret. Why is Charlie kissing Nick in public? Mild spoilers for comic. In the dialogue in the comic Nick says, “why can’t we kiss and just be happy?” If you think about it, both of their first two kisses involves tears, and Charlie just wanted to have a purely happy kiss with Nick. 🥺 Also, it was raining so nobody can see . Thank you so much! ( also, if somebody no spoilers, can let the guys know season 2 is gonna have some darker material . Maybe they could be convinced to give it a go episode by episode)
1:02 first time watching this channel and I already know I'm gonna love nick cause of this moment lmao💀 1:53 I love that you guys took the time to read the texts. The author of the book actually took her time to write them. 6:23 what am I watching 😂 23:13 ihy 💀 25:14 this is coming from an out and proud gay that loves to cuss and make vulgar statements but this is too much for me🙉
Gay dude here......just want to say that I LOVE your content and your energy is really contagious. Thanks for being the type of straight guys that are great allies to us. We should all have buddies like the two of you. First, we are MEN. Secondly, we are GAY (or straight) men. There is no reason why we cannot all be on the same page. I absolutely loved this reaction.
I wish you had seen the whole thing . I really liked the commentary you added for the two episodes . As for those shots, I would have been out after 5 and forgotten everything that happened if I did 10 .
i love this so much and i wish you would watch the rest of the show!! it’s soo adorable (and nick talks about things that aren’t rugby lol). i laughed out loud multiple times during this video!
I feel like getting used by people when other people want to explore their sexualities is a very common experience for young LGBTQ+ who are out, it was so nice to see that be shown on screen because it really does happen
as a gay guy myself I agree... straight people can watch whatever they want without feeling afraid or worried about their sexuality and nobody could tell them otherwise.
