I watch this once now it definitely helps although you're going to get more views from this video probably than any cuz I'm going to watch it about 25 times while I practice. I got to pretend like I know a little but what I'm talking about before I make a video. But this video definitely helps. 👍👍👍👆 I don't even know what the hell I'm doing but by the time I make a video it'll look like I know what I'm doing anyway. You know how RU-vid is all you needs a camera and bring out that degree wheel and people are going to think I know what I'm talking about anyway LOL

I keep hearing you read out 28.5 degrees but I’m reading 32 degrees in your video, am I misunderstanding something ?
@2strokecarbtuningportingin187
Yea what your missing is me trying to make a video to help people. with a phone and one free hand and called 32 degrees 28 degrees because I didn't have my reading glasses on. Either way the point it his positive stop is irrelevant. Two strokes are symmetrical. Meaning your degree wheel is properly installed when it stops at the same point when hitting position stop going down and up. Either way notice it stops at same point.

Honestly I was in the same boat wondering where 28 was when it was on 32.

To all the greenhorns watching these video's: you comment should start with, " why do you ever ever need a degree wheel?? I mean ever never. 😢 I have been porting my whole life and never ever used it. Why? Because Japan did it right and good. Now how to make the ports "bigger, higher, wider,lower", and in which direction and how much and what degree??? Simple, you must know how a 2stroke cylinder and piston work first. Than how the cylinder exhaust port works, the intake, membrane open/close moments, and the pressure needed in the cylinderhead bell for the piston mm you will used, ignition timing, bigger carb...... and then finally the pipe . Yes the right pipe for everything you have done to the cylinder/engine/ignition/carb/membrane setting . Not the other way around ok, not the right cylinder ect for the pipe. But the right pipe for the total setting of the completed engine. ... did I mention anything about a degree wheel???? No ,why not? Because I never needed it . I know what japan did ,I know how all the parts works, how to adjust them to go faster ect ect. Meaning : the guy with the degree wheel is still trying to figure it out by measuring and not knowing how to port and how much , if we take the cylinderhead off and look inside, we bring the piston down max and up closing the ports and further up closing the exhaust port, than measuring top exhaust port to top of the cylinder, WE started porting already man . Know exactly where to,how much, and degree. 😅Also the guy putting Cc's in his cylinder head to measure how much to make it bigger because he went from a 40mm piston to a 50mm piston😢😅.Just use the Japan formule you find in the 40mm setting (original). Knowledge. Ok let's say the exhaust port was 16H/25.5W mm on the original 40mm cylinder+piston. AND the cylinderhead bell 40.5W/9.centerH/ bell26W/ ☆7.25Lby 2.25H. ..now how much for a 50mm piston in that same cylinder? Take a calculator and in minutes you will have you answer😊. The formula? You must know right ? See that's why I will never need or use a degree wheel, I see that just buy looking into the cylinder ❤. Porting is very very easy , and every pro knows that already for about 50years and more.

Do you see me asking any questions. Does this look like a Japanese motorcycle motor. I also have been building two and four strokes for about 45 yrs. FYI the bigger the wheel the more accurate it is. I also expain most all topics on port shapes Hights and function. I couldn't read the story you wrote.

@@dannygreider8747 sure few things to check 1 do you have good fuel flow out of the petcock. Could be a gas cap vent issue. Or petcock. Check float level. Or seek out vaccum leak or it's running lean. There's some common things to look at
