Shopping our pantry has saved us money and unnecessary waste. We made Indian Buttered Chicken with broccoli last night and we didn’t have to buy extra spices as they can be spendy. I love Boursin and thank you for sharing your homemade version. I don’t have dill in the pantry, but I do have some herbs de Provence hanging around that I’ll try with it! Best tip is to use what you have. Thanks Emmy!

My mom used to make a Boursin type cheese around the holidays and she would also gift friends with it and some crackers. It was so good!!

Another great video! You are going to laugh about this, I picked up one of those delicata squash on the side of the road somebody had out for free. It was the best squash I have ever eaten. I roasted it with real butter and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. It led me to an obsession over trying squash that I have never had. I've picked them up at farm stands ,the Amish, free for the taking on the side of the road, I have grown some this year etc. I didn't realize how many varieties there were that I hadn't tried lol. I now have a stash of weird random squash set aside for this winter that I cannot wait to sample. So far I have had the orangetti, and Patty pan in addition to the delicata.

I’ve seen those kind of squash but I’ve never tried it! Now I’m very curious! Next time I see one I’m going to try it!👍 I got my freezer inventory all done! I got my spice cub board all done & clean and organized✔️ next big project is going to be my pantry organization!!! (EXTREME pantry organization) I’m going to keep a running inventory of EVERYTHING in my pantry! My store shopping is going to be limited to produce & dairy and a few other incidentals! I’m going to work out of my freezer inventory through the winter!!!!👍 again thank you for all you and your hubby do!!!!! ❤️🙏❤️

Delicata squash tastes like sweet potato to us. We plant every year in the garden with several different types of squash. I think squash is very versatile and we love all different types of squash. Love the videos Emmy❤️ Had to edit: We always like delicata, butternut or buttercup with our pork chops.

Hey Emmygirl! Your meal plans sound good....made me hungry hearing them. My freezer is on its way here! Will be here Friday. I ended up finding the same small upright freezer, but a different make, from Lowe's for a lot less than what Amazon had raised the price up to. It's weird it's shipping from California...tracking and it was in Arizona today. So I'm finally getting one! yay! You and Paul have a happy Wednesday!

Delicata squash ... yummy ! Cut in halve, remove the seeds. Toss with olive oil and what ever spices you like and roast 400-425 for about 25 minutes. Skin is thin so you don't have to peel so it's a fabulous quick side : ) Difficult to find here in the south, so when I see it, I grab it for sure. Peace and light to all and extra hugs to Dixie !

Because of your videos I'm learning to cut back on my food waste. I was given arounf fourteen bags of apples. Instead of letting them go bad I canned apple butter. My three grandchildren had three pumpkins here and they just set them outside. After Halloween I canned pumpkin butter out of them. So, thank you for that! Your videos are not going without notice. 💕💕💕

Elba N.Y.is 15 minutes from me they have the biggest muck land in the who!e United states ( very fine black soil for growing onions ) the town is one street lol! It is in Genesee county and is 5 minutes from I90..exit 48. Delicata is so sweet it like candy! Look up muck land in N.Y. Elba will definitely come up!

Boursin (pronounced "Boar-san") is delicious but sadly not suitable for Vegetarians because of the Rennet used. I loved your recipe and am definitely going to give it a go! Thank you so much for sharing

Hi there! Thanks for the nice videos. I'm French and though Boursin is a French cheese trademark (that is: much more affordable here... ), I tried a mock receipe with the ingredients I had in my kitchen: - 'fresh cheese' (translation of the name a French cheese we find here, which is a bit like a slightly salted cottage cheese), - onion and garlic powder - herbs: mainly parsley (i love the combo garlic-parsley) - A bit of sour cream (or yoghurt or even a dash of milk) to dilute a bit. - and a little seasoning (salt pepper) 😋😋 Try it with fresh mushrooms: - just remove the 'bottom' (the 'pods'?... I don't know how you call the lower part of the mushroom.... in French, we call it the "foot" but I doubt it is the same in English!😅), - stuff the mushrooms - sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, a pinch of parsley/garlic... ....and straight to your oven! A delicious snack, side or vegetarian dish...or even as an apetizer..... Lots of love of France to you and Paul!❤

I was talking about your videos to my friend up in Westtown, NY and she said she hadn't been to a Shop Rite in a long time (I told her how jealous I get when you mention Shop Rite since we don't have any in SC). She told me she went and told me how beautiful the meats were (she's a great cook). It also seems to me that your prices in Shop Rite, even though you say they're going up, are still quite a bit cheaper than down here. Does Shop Rite still have Can Can Sales? I know I've seen some cheeses in our Publix go for sometimes $12.99 for a chunk. Love your videos and have a great week.

I have some of that delicata squash I need to cook. I may do that tomorrow. We're scheduled to have meatloaf for dinner (according to the menu plan) so I may make that to go on the side. I also have some small, young turnips that I would like to use up. If that fails, I got some half spinach, half spring mix on woohoo at Dillons (Kroger) for like $1.69. I'm trying to think of what to do with some pomegranate arils. My grocery store we go to abotu 45 minutes away had cups of arils for $.49 each (so I bought 4). We have a melon that we need to cut and eat as well . Today was our shopping day. I think I went over for the week BUT some of the items I bought, like cream cheese and sour cream from Sams, will be used over several week. I also found the smoked turkey legs I wanted to get my husband for Thanksgiving since he prefers dark meat. We have a small turkey roast for the holiday, but this will be a treat for him. I bouf 2 packs of 2, so a total of 4 turkey legs. We made room in the freezer so I have plenty of room for everything.

Nice grocery shopping haul. The faux Boursin cheese recipes looks good (I’m dieting-everything looks good😉). That’s a very long best by date on the cream cheese. I’ve noticed the staples I’ve bought recently have long expiration date. I speculate it’s because the store shelves were cleared and replacements are newly manufactured rather than sitting in warehouses until needed.
