Sniper Elite 4 weapons upgrade instructions walk through. SE4 is a decent third-person shooter but lacks a bit of clarity in how to upgrade your weapons. Here is an overview of how to access the menu and how to identify the in-game actions that will earn you the upgrades that you're after.
I've been corrected on multiple occasions, I realize this is a third-person shooter despite my saying "first-person" repeatedly in the vid... I published the vid because I couldn't find answers to the questions. It's a good thing I'm pretty... 8-D Enjoy...
NOTE: Answers on 'ricochet' and 'penetrative' kills have been added in NOTES at the point at which they are discussed in the video (youtube will not display notes on mobile systems).
To restate it here, ricochet kills result from bouncing rounds off the hard surface (like concrete) in front of your target. Walls work also, but present this situation less often.
Penetrative kills happen when your rounds pass through an object in front of your target, such as a box or bush that obscures the target. When the target is 'tagged', they will appear as a white outline behind the obstruction, but your reticle will light up as 'red'.
