It would be interesting to see an actual war with the "cartels." That's a funny word, I'm not sure it even applies anymore, at this point they're essentially the government. But the actual Mexican government would be forced to take a side. It would probably be the easiest war for the US to win but it'll never happen, too much money involved keeping the way things are. Biden must have pissed a lot of people off allowing this stuff, it's bad for business on our side.

I find many of the comments here very disheartening and unfair to these poor immigrants. Many of the latest migrants are from Africa, probably from small poor villages, and despite deeply rooted systemic racism everywhere in the United States, they still risked everything including their lives to come here by hiking through dense jungles and swimming across the ocean.

I live in el paso tx. This goes on n on n on. Since i was a kid i remember these issues. I know many true stories of border patrol agents, cbp agents and mexican smugglers. I see both sides. I have a home in el paso and one in juarez mexico. Trump is not your savior or any other admin. Gop or democrats. It is a cat and mouse game that will continue.

In the 1990,s my cousin Juan was a Sergeant in the Mexican Army and stationed in Tijuana Mexico, which is right across the US border from Ca. While on vacation Juan visited me in LA County and we got to spend a lot of time together. Juan told me one time that a lot of the Mexican soldiers and he made extra money by escorting drug shipments across the border into the US. He also told me that part of his duties were to go out on a military boat with other soldiers and pick up shipments of cocaine that had been dumped into the ocean water from airplanes. The shipments were taken to a military warehouse and unloaded. Maybe this man with the rifle escorting illegal aliens is a Mexican soldier making extra money too.
