Saw this line up around 1980. Loudest band I ever saw. Bloody good too.

I was 14 when this came out. I first heard of them around 83. Still sounds like riding around in a 70 Nova SS smokin doobies, with the Jensens crankin this, Wow, if you weren't there.... My sympathies.....😉

Thanks for sharing this. I had not heard these tracks before but I love the Wild Cat album. And I always thought Jess Cox had a great voice. Only the first song ends up on their album in the following year so they must have been writing a lot. There are some really great tracks on that album. And they seem to have improved a lot as a band as well by that time. Even though John Sykes had not joined yet there are still some pretty smoking leads on that record and songs like Insanity, Slave To Freedom, and badger badger are top-notch I think. Even though there are killer tracks on the second album Spellbound I prefer the vocal delivery of Jess Cox. Just my two cents.

FYI- this was before John Sykes was in the band. The original guitarist does a fine job though, as on the entire Wild Cat album. I really like Jesse Cox vocals - they have a gritty coolness to them that is more raw rock and roll than typical metal crooning.
