White Spirit - Backs To The Grind - 7 inch single. 1980 

brings back wonderful memories of seeing White Spirit back in 1980 several times....great guys!

This band should have been huge.

sounds like Deep Purple or the old Whitesnake (1978 / 1982). Really good. Their first album (1980) still a fucking classic after all these years.

One of the very first NWOBHM singles I bought at the Lakeshore Record Exchange in Rochester, N.Y. and I still have it!! \../\../

got the 7". Those guys had definitely attended the university of Purple-onomics. Which is a high praise of course, few bands ever dared to emulate Purple's sound. We all know 'bout Janick of course, but whatever the hell happened to that Mal Pearson guy, absolute gov'nor on the keys
