I've worked with the coffee drinker, hot mess, Netflix addict, and cranky. There's also the one on the computer all the time looking at shoes. 😅

Happens all the time... "The day shift is here!?!"...but than this is a golden time, cause soon I than get to go home. I HATE HATE HATE when day shift flips on all the lights at once...so evil!

I was a night nurse for many years. I have NEVER seen an energetic night nurse...NEVER!! On the other hand, I saw tons of Hot Messes, tons and tons. It seems those nurses who marched to to a different drummer definitely ended up on night shift. Notice that I said I worked night shift for many years 🤓

OMG! Right on point. I've been a night shift nurse since 2004 and those nurses characters are on point 😂. I'm the cold one, coffee one and at times the cranky one. Love it❣

I had a nurse once who was apparently in her “cranky” stage. And when she came in to do her routinely check of me (I was spending the night after emergency surgery for appendicitis) I asked to use the restroom and asked if she could help me sit up because it hurt too much still to do it on my own. She rolled her eyes and made an annoyed noise, grabbed my arm, yanked me out of my bed and popped a few of my stitches. Well she lost her job after that lol

"A urinal? " *tried to hand over an incentive spirometer* hahaha that got me

I worked with these types lol 😂. My favorite nurse I worked with was the coffee drinker. She had different type of flavored coffee and when it’s my break she always call me up to come joined her. I missed her ❤️

I find hospital lights so bright, and the one time i was in hospital after i had a csection the next day it was like 8am and the curtains were still closed and light off because i like the dark and the nurse came in and told me off and opened the curtains because i was "ruining it for my roommate and her baby" even though she hadnt even said anything. And before that was like in active labour and wanted the lights off and they kept on making me have them on, it sucked.

Funny and true. I worked 17 years on night shift (and lived to tell about it!). Need to add: "The Houdini Nurse" (who disappears every night for several hours), "the Chain Smoker Nurse (I'm going down to the parking garage for a quick cig. Be right back...". Oh, we could go on and on...

Oh gosh, SO accurate! Our "cold ones" would put ice in a bag and sit it on top of the thermostat to make the heat come on and everyone else is dying of heat stroke! You forgot the one that gets a station ALL the way down the hall and refuses to move the rest of the night.

Blake you nailed all those types. The one I hate is the cold one. I'm going thru the change and I have a mini fan at my computer going most of the time. The cold ones always ask if I'm cold. The cold ones drive me crazy!

I was in paeds then a psych ward for 7 months when I was 15 and I WISH you were one of my nurses! I bet you insert NG tubes like a pro!

While Im not a nurse, I worked 3rds in admissions and telemetry and espically loved youre trying to transfer calls nurse!! I cant tell you how many times, nurses transfered callers to me because tbey couldnt transfer to patients room!!! It was halarious!! I remember counting one might on 3rds and 16 times, a nurse calked down to have me transfer a call to tbe sane floor nurses station they worked on! I had to laugh at his accuracy to point!
