I got this pair of TYR L-1 lifter squat shoes because this video. Thanks. The wider toe box fits me perfectly. No extra room for my wider feet. Great review! Sold me on it from this video. They have great durability, extra comfort, great look & well built shoe! Squat University outdid themselves on this model! I like these better than my Inov8 model squat shoes. Thanks.

9:55 Wow 😯!!! Good comparison between the two. I was wondering why my toes and especially in my left toes were sometimes uncomfortable in my Inov-8 weightlifting shoes. That makes sense when I’m walking around in those weightlifting shoes they are snug enough. Yet when I got two or three and more plates that pressure feels uncomfortable at times. This new pair might be the best option for me.

I got a pair of INOV-8 FASTLIFT POWER G 380. I think I’ll grab a pair of these also because I do have a wider toe box.

I got these for my son during Black Friday. The overlapping sales meant I got them for $61 dollars after shipping and tax. The only bummer was I didn't have much of a choice in color and most sizes were out. I picked what was left, and I was kinda relieved everyone said "buy up a size," as that is what was left for him (he usually wrestles in 12s, wears 12.5s, and I bought 13s). They are still $97 at checkout for the other shoes before Cyber Monday. Sizing is a huge issue. It is hard to find larger sizes with those deals, not that I consider a 13 large...it is a bigger normal. Heaven forbid you need a 16 or larger. Even on websites other than Tyr, such as Rogue, these larger sizes are limited and often sold out. My dad and brother have paddleboard feet, like size 16s at 6'2", and this would never work for them, but they also would need the wider toe boxes. The Romaleos at least go up to size 18, though not in every color. I am glad I got these for what I paid. I wish I bought a second pair before they sold out. Hope this helps people before the sale ends.

I bought Xero Prio shoes for weightlifting based on your reviews - thank you. So far they are good, very comfortable. Converse were hurting my toes, I ditched them after years of using them for weights. I want to try Xero 360 but based in the UK there is no availability, and no UK shipping options on the EU site. Their customer service is really poor too with very rude, unhelpful staff. I don't understand why Xero shoes don't market their entire range to UK customers. I can't get the Kelso either for example. It's a really shame cos I love the Prio. Thanks for all your reviews anyway, they are very helpful.

My feet widths are slightly narrow to neutral and my arch isn't so high. Looking for a weight lifting / cross fit shoes that gives a drop for my squat and a wide toe box to ease my fear of ruining my toes by squeezing them with narrow shoes.(Metcon 2 did) 😂 You mention TYR L-1 might be too wide if you don't have wide feet. What would be your recommendations for someone like me? At the moment I'm temporarily using Vibram FiveFingers weightlifting model but it's barefoot so I can't use it for squats.

Hear ya. Wide in the context of weightlifting shoes. I know these still feel snug for folks with exceptionally wide feet, but in the world of weightlifting shoes these are (sadly) the widest model atm, and to your point, the toe box still isn't the best regarding its fit and upper volume.
