It's satisfying because you know that's what Tyrion would conclude after letting go of his biases, and it also sets up his subconscious decision at the end to not be like his brother. Give all the writers a Nobel Prize is what I'm saying!

Crowd sourcing gives you the best ideas. You just have to edit them together into a coherent narrative.

@@MHF013 It fucked up Barristans attack. And with Quentin rallying the dragon it will appear like it did something. Maybe it will be drawn to the ship somehow and "win" a battle for Victarion by routing the Yunkish. Something extremely tenuous that Moqorro can use to pretend.

Especially since he is including almost all of his theories, the ones which he is ostensibly "only right about half" 😆. According to this fan fic, he is right about all of them.

Barristan can still be captured, Preston is in two minds about killing him. "Dracarys" is just the Valyrian word for dragonfire, so one of the first words to try. Quentyn probably speaks Valyrian, given that he is highborn and loves reading books. The real problem is that he isn't a proper dragonrider, he can't command a dragon, he just 'nettled' the dragon.

@@Xob_Driesestig he might know some valyrian but unless he is a dragonlord nerd, I don't think it's likely he uncountered the word for dragon fire a lot of time. Also, what's the point of the scene where she purposefully chose a word that wouls never be said in a normal conversation if anyone can just guess the command. I know hotd made every rider use dracarys but I don't think in the books it's an universal command since Danny had no way to know how her ancestors did train their dragons

@@alk5985 Just checked and he indeed knows high valyrian, he can read books in high valyrian, and he is fluent in the volantene dialect. Given the importance of dragonfire in the history of the asoiaf world, he probably knows it. I think the point was more that the dragon wouldn't accidentally start burning people while she was just in normal conversation.

Quentyn doesn't know the words, but right at the end Jorah was screaming something in High Valyrian....

Well, Victarion managed to claim Rhaegal the same way Nettles claimed Sheepstealer (by feeding it). And Quentyn also claimed Viseryon the same way. The two dragons are now controlled by people and will destroy the Slaver alliance and their armies. Quentyn will save Tyrion. The part which is now unknown is the aftermath. Will Barristan survive? What will the politics of Mereen be like after? How will Victarion, Quentyn, Tyrion, Daario, Skahaz and everyone interact now? Did the Dothraki hostage survive? We are still a long way off of Danys return. While the battle is going on she is still in the Dothraki sea and it will be a while before she returns.

​@@clmberserker245 Because you don't really get the entire battle in a chapter. Pretty much never happens. The battle is concluded because the next time we see these characters, the battle will be over. The narrative surrounding it is done.

Penny has plot armor. She can't die before trying to assassinate Tyrion or at least somehow letting readers know she works for Varys.

They are a breed of horse. Pretty sure they were created for the fanfic. Zamettar was a Ghiscari city at the northern end of Sothoryos. So I’m assuming that they are just another remnant of the Old Empire’s breeding programs.

When you have pov like Tyrion and Quetyn, who are both really intelligent but at this point also depressed and looking back at their mistakes it makes perfect sense to use them to solve mysteries from the past. A pov like Arya hota are the ones only concerned with what’s in front of them. Btw if you want to be taken seriously, don’t throw around terms like “conspiracy tin foil” until you’ve substantiated your theories like Preston has.

I just mean it's already been addressed, by the author (GRRM) but not some others. And I'm not trying to take a shot, Preston has some pretty out there takes. He's right about some, wrong about others. I don't know a more correct term to use for this theory

@@emarti3853 correction, George addressed 3 times, with cat coming to a conclusion we Know was incorrect, and Tyrion and Cersei coming to the same conclusion based on reasoning we also know is incorrect. Again, until you explain your conclusions calling Preston’s theories “out there” is baseless ad hominem. You’re the one who sounds crazy not him.

I'm not arguing about a mystery that has been previously concluded in book 3. My comment was in regards to the story-driven plot-imperative of the reopening of said mystery. Why use that mystery when there are plenty of new ones to explore. They can be used to develop Tyrion's relationship with Jamie and Cersei just as well. Joffrey is dead, Sandor might not be written in. A dire wolf could have been a cave lion. Everything could have been swapped It could have been used to develop future chapters in Essos

@@emarti3853 by what basis do you think it’s concluded? Tyrion thinking he cracked it? Cat thought the same thing. Look at the job Arryn mystery, that’s concluded because Lysa confessed and then killed by her conspirator, Joff’s end had nothing to do with it. Because Tyrion is haunted by his mistakes and the dire wolf reminds him of that mystery. And why would Tyrion care about the widow or the dragon? That has nothing to do with his guilt and he think he’ll die soon anyway. It does tie back to Jaime, he’s literally doing exactly what cat did him, falsely accusing him of murder based on flimsy evidence We’ve already seen lions plenty in the world, at casterly rock and pentos, the whole point of the beast master is he has RARE animals and dire wolves are supposed to extinct. If you don’t like it write your own fanfiction and let me throw nonsense criticism at it.
