I have fond memories of speck dumplings from 1977 visiting my girlfriends grandmother in Matrei.Tyrol. Such comfort food in the winter. Danke

The bread you use, what kind is it?

Hi Gernot, we use traditional "Dumpling Bread", which you can buy under the name of "Semmelwürfel" or "Knödelbrot" in most supermarkets in Austria. It is basically white bread cut in small cubes and dried, should you live in another country where you cannot buy the precut version so easily! Hope this helps!
