Sorry for the late comment but just seen this episode log update. Looking very handsome, that's what I love about the old sail ships, the wood work on the decks always seems to stand out among the colour and curvature of the hull. What I love most is the fact these old rigged ships have been preserved, I know my uncle and aunt saw the HMS Bounty used in the 60s some years before it was lost in hurricane Sandy ( I think that was the name ), they said it was a moment when they managed to get aboard it the following day. Can't remember where they went but I know it was abroad.. obviously.. but they came back with some great snaps. Looking great, great log update also. 👍
@@LCModelShipBuilding Thanks for the reply, just seen it. That's great to hear about your grandparents visiting the bounty, that's something we have in common. Honor to share it 👍
Hi Larry, really enjoying following your build of the Constitution. It's looking really good and the deck takes it to the next level. I'm not an experienced ship builder myself but I've just started the Airfix 1/180 HMS Victory from their Vintage Classics range. I know this kit is not very highly thought of by seasoned ship modellers but it is what it is. The only other sailing ship I've done was Revell's 1/110 HMS Bounty. Again not a brilliant kit but it was a fun build and it looks quite good in the glass case I've made for it. Best wishes from the UK and happy modelling.
Biggest recommendation is to continue building. The more practice you get the more you will feel able to do. Strange enough sometimes the smaller kits are actually harder due to the size and scale. The scale decks definitely do take the ships to a whole new level. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Larry can I ask you were did you find the 3D printed canon crew I am currently building the ship but I need to buy a 3D printer too to print extra items I need
