Not trying to put shade on Luna, but you can basically achieve the same thing on Bitwig's mixer by using the project and track remotes and modulators. Just create a project template with the remotes mapped. I haven't had any need to switch to a different DAW, and I've tried a lot, Ableton, Reaper, FL Studio, Reason, Studio One but Bitwig resonates with me the most because I can create anything I want using remotes, modulators, the Grid and containers.
Facts ! 100 percent agree. I like the ease of use with Luna but you can definitely achieve what Luna does on any DAW. Just more steps and need to get third party plugin or get creative with the stock plugins. I just like it because how fast you can do the summing and saturation etc. but as far as tweak ability no one is messing with Bitwig. Bitwig is for the mad scientist.
I have similar mindset and use Logic, Ableton and Luna. I start in either Logic or Ableton and finish mixing and mastering in Luna. I thought I had to choose just one daw but I agree, I can use all 3 and learn and push my skills to the next level. Thanks for your thoughts!
If you can master one daw inside and out then you are a multi talented music producer in my book. Learning other daws then you are on another level. Not knowing the short cuts and layout of a different daw for me would be very daunting. Nearly like started again unless someone educated sitting next to me for a few weeks showing me what to use and do. There is loads in Logic I dont know or will ever use. I still learn new things in Logic every week from RU-vid
It’s hard mastering one. But with time it’ll come. Just decide which one is for you and run with that. Then after awhile you realize they all do the same thing just slightly different and different bells and whistles. And yes having to learn new shortcuts is wild. lol like learning a new language.
I use them all except PT 😊Logic Ableton Bitwig FL Reason Cubase Luna Nuendo Studio One because they force me to think differently. Even Gadget and Maschine! We are so spoiled
I have Logic, Mixbus 32c, Studio One, Digital Performer and Reaper. DP was my number 1 for years until I discovered Reaper. Nowadays Reaper is my number one. Thanks for posting.
Nice line up ! I heard a lot of good things about Reaper. Never tried it. What do you like about reaper ? And all the other DAWs are insanely good. I was going to switch to studio one before Logic came out with their 10.5 upgrade.
Nice insight 🎛✨ Logic was also the first daw I mastered then Bitwig, Ableton and Harrison mb all for different flow’s from production, mastering to live performances
