UEL Headers On A Crosstrek Sound Insane!

In this video I will be Installing RalliSport Automotive’s UEL headers and high flow cat pipe on my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek! RalliSport Automotive is an upping comer in the Subaru gang and they are developing high quality exhaust parts! Looking for parts for the Crosstrek and Impreza the only options you are ever given are Nameless performance, Lachute performance, and Borla, so why choose the new kid on the block? I’ll tell you why, because RalliSport Automotive is not only pushing out headers and exhaust parts but, they are developing Turbo kits and tunes for the Crosstrek/Impreza! If you are a first gen Crosstrek/Impreza owner (2012-2016) don’t worry you are not left out they have header and exhaust parts for you guys as well! 10/10 Highly recommend you guys check out RalliSport Automotive!
I tried my best to capture all the steps necessary to installing the item listed. So be sure to watch till the very end to hear my initial first impressions of the product and how they perform on the vehicle!

That was exactly my reaction when I put mikes headers/ high flow cat pipe on. 2018 6 speed here. Loved the build quality. Sound is amazing, I still have my stock resonator and a nameless performance muffler delete. Not raspy at all, sounds smooth. Interesting to hear how the cvt sounds like. Glad you like it!

The 6 speed definitely has a different sound. It devs slower due to having a flywheel

Liking the new sound! I was watching this video thinking to myself “ I feel like this guy goes to EDM shows” and sure enough you pull away and big EXCISION X on your back window lol 🙅🏼‍♂️ Throw that X up! I have a 2021 White Crosstrek Sport that I’m slowly building up to my preference. Great videos man, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting! Did you have any issues with the car passing state emissions test after the install? Also, what was the MPG hit? Tempted to do this to my 18 6MT ‘trek.

No, it is literally engineered to be factory spec just Unequal. So no problems with emissions! And as of running them for a few months now I haven't seen a mpg hit.

Hey man ! Love your videos, I was just wondering were you planning on modding your trek that much when you bought it ? If not, do you regret not getting the 6speed manual ? I feel like the headers, exhaust and pedal commander might sound better without the cvt ?

Oh yeah, you should've seen my FJ! Modding my vehicles is one of my biggest hobbies. Nah I don't regret it at all, San Antonio traffic isn't very forgiving and besides I wouldn't be banging gears in this slow thing anyway lol. I'll save the 6speed for when I get a WRX. And as far as sound I don't think it will make too much of a difference, you'll get the same sound just have the satisfaction of hearing the shifts.

@@StradysWorld ha you have had an fj a modded it? I have an 07 you can see it on my channel and a 2020 Crosstrek. Video there also. Video was within the 1st hundred miles I've changed it completely now and will do another video when it is done. Point I was getting at is I've met a lot of folks who have had FJ's and got the trek as well. Or to replace. Great video man.

Awesome video, just got an 2018 6-speed Crosstrek and would love to get this uel headers soon thanks to your review and comparison. My biggest question is can I keep original muffler or do I need an aftermarket?

Well I would say if you want to see some performance gains I would go with a catback system like I have. But if you just want the sound the original muffler shouldn't bog it down too much, I don't think.

To my knowledge no. Any exhaust work doesn’t void warranty, I thought the manifold spacer would void it. But nope I’ve had no issues with my dealership 🤷🏽‍♂️

From what I know, if a problem is not caused by your mod, Subaru warranty covers it. If a problem is caused by your mod, it is not covered. Depending on the dealership, even if your mod does not cause the problem, they can say it did and not covered by the warranty and you pay for it. That's what the sales representative told me.

Might be a silly question, but, when you on a regular hill, at a light and you’re at a stop, does the car want to roll back or does is stay in place when you release the brake? 30days out from purchase and this is something I’d like to avoid in my next purchase, especially with the option to modify!!! Thanks in advance!

Do it you won't regret it! And yeah I've heard both side of the warranty debate, but I personally have not had any issues with my warranty upon doing this mod.

Paired with the manifold spacer, pedal commander and intake it has some pretty decent off the line torque now!

1. I have no idea that a question for the company. Here in Texas we don’t have smog rules. 2. Zero codes, completely plug and play.

I figured they would! I didn’t think they changed the header manifold of the 2.5l enough to warrant a whole new design of headers.

CNT headers aren’t available atleast when I made this video for the 2nd Gen Crosstrek. So I can’t comment an opinion on them.

@@PennsylvaniaDualSport I understand completely and in that case, I wouldn’t recommend my exhaust setup, this puppy costed me a pretty penny lol. I would look more into Remark, Namless, Crawford, Lp Adventure for some more affordable muffler options!

@@StradysWorld has nothing to do with affordability as much as something we’d want to live with on long commutes. Your UEL header sounds great but would probably drive us up a wall with an hour commute into work. Not to mention I leave at 4 in the morning. Not very neighborly. Something with tone thats not rappy. For what it’s worth.. she has the manual so it would inherently sound better on hers anyway. Our other hobby is off road motorcycles. We each have a few. You want to talk about an expensive hobby between modding bikes, maintaining bikes, (I get hours out of a rear tire on my enduro bike.. not rated by miles ) Then gear for everyone. Like with these cars.. we have to buy two.. Of everything. Good times lol

To answer your question Andres. How I learned it, UEL headers is just for rumble. Equal length headers is for hp.

@@StradysWorldUEL headers will actually give you more power, but the power will be delivered differently compared to El. With UEL you gain more mid-range torque and with EL more high-end torque, however, to actually take advantage full of these headers, you will need a tune.
