What the hell happened to Nunes ? She was slow, she was weak, she was uncharacteristically inaccurate (she missed 70% of her blows). I don't understand at all, Pena is good but she is far from the best challenger that Amanda ever fought, and its not like Pena did this perfect fight wit a stellar performance.
@@DakonBlackblade2 Nunes isn't used to being the nail, that's what happened. Every single one of her opponents started backing up after feeling her power except Cyborg and Pena. But Cyborg started backing up too after getting hit by too many clean punches, getting dropped multiple times. Pena's awkward movement allowed her to dodge and not get hit flush by Amanda's punches while her willingness to fire back from weird angles stopped Amanda from avalanching Pena. Nothing points at Nunes being "off" in that fight. Her saying that is damage control because she has her stock to care about. She started the fight like she does most of the time, with a powerful leg kick testing the waters. Her boxing and movement didn't look different and her framing on Pena in the fight is usually a sign that she's going to put away her opponent really soon. So nothing suspect here. Pena's style and mentality might just be her cryptonite but we'll see in the rematch.

So different to watch the fight with people who aren't biased and know what they are talking about. DC and Rogan constantly screaming Oliveira was hurt in round 1 completly changes the perspective of those watching the fight. My man was extremely upset with that roll hahahah..

@@martymaiden8499 Not sure if you do bjj, but when you’re put in an omoplata or kimura, rolling to your back and giving up top position is the defence in that situation, which causes a sweep (reversal in position). Trust me when I say rolling to his back was the correct move and it wasn’t “lazy”
islam vs oliveira would be the spiritual succesor to khabib vs tony . except its discount khabib vs improved tony really. but dariush and gaethje could either ruin it or set it in place without the title as long as they both win or both lose lol
@@mikewessel3967 i agree but with u if i had to pick one, but the odds are... i would say its 70-30, 70% charles wins most likely submits him, 30% chance do bronx get caught and ko'd or tko'd. weaknesses: charles' suspect chin and lacking of striking defense and head movement vs gaethje's sub defense. rooting for chales but i try to be unbiased and acknowledge strengths and weaknesses based on previous recent fights. charles also has the cardio advantage but knowing both fighters, it wont be much use if it aint goin past rd3. gathje got slightly more power per punch as well and ur chin only get worse after taking damage like do bronx's fearless yet wreckless style in last 2 fights vs dp and chandler. hoping charles wins tho and islam wins to give us the highest level grappling matchup in LW div and ufc history probably, imagine the scrambles.
