UK food delivery apps hiring illegal migrants branded 'completely UNFAIR' by Richard Tice 

Clamp down and deport anyone found doing this . The same thing is happening with supermarket security and cleaning . These people are taking decent jobs from local people .

There are very wealthy foreigners helping these set-ups, using the British taxpayer as fools..

As a member of the Reform party I would just like to say to Mr Tice that I disagree with your proposal of one in one out.Immigration needs to be stopped altogether for at least five years and a lot of deportations need to take place.Four hundred thousand immigrants per year is still far too many.

Sending people who haven’t been fully vetted to someone’s doorstep is potentially very dangerous, I’m not sure what the think they are playing at.

Illegal immigrants, working illegally, riding illegal e-bikes. Birmingham and other cities are overrun with these people. When one of these riders runs into and kills a toddler, or an old dear, who will be held responsible?

So they're earning £1500 a month but they're not paying tax or rent!? Thieves. Get them out.

Unfortunately what he talks about is completely true. I work as a 100% legal food delivery driver. I've been doing this job for over six years now. I can tell you, these companies have been taken advantage of this loop hole for many years. Why? Because of money! These illegal people would deliver anything for very little fees. In fact, when illegal migrants started to work, these companies introduced a system which auctions the deliveries out to the drivers. The companies gamble on who takes the order for the lowest fee. If nobody takes an order, then the fee is raised a little bit, and the same roder is auctioned again to us. Sometimes there are orders in the system for an hour or two (!!!), because nobody wants to take it for the small fee offered. Because of this, in the last financial year my average earnings fell by about 25%. This business has become totally disgusting. A pure worker exploitation scheme.

These companies should be closed down and prosecuted for crimes

The Inland Revenue should investigate this because illegal immigrants are not registered on the system. The food delivery firms will get big fines for letting their happen.

Any one who let’s someone use their account for for this should go to prison. Based on the same laws as employers using a worker that are not allowed to work .

Easy. Track down the people who have the substitute accounts and check if they are using illegal immigrants. Fine them £10,000 for the first offence and £20,000 for the second offence and publicise these fines widely. The practice would stop overnight.

ive never used these services and never will. i work full time and pay tax, and i now have to live in my old mums living room as i cant afford the hideous rents for me and my college age son. Its a disgrace !!

If the government is serious about reducing illegal immigration it needs to pay for and train sufficient Home Office staff so that asylum seekers can be quickly processed and the many bogus ones deported. Also, people applying for immigration should be properly vetted.

I pass a migrant hotel on the way to work. Car park is full of bikes. City is full of illegal immigrants on bikes delivering food as well. Its obvious.

Criminals delivering food directly to your address where your family lives. Scouting out who is best to burgle.

I said to my son a while back that this was happening, they are ILLEGALY here, they lie, they destroy their documents. How many have a criminal background check ?. Who is delivering YOUR food ? Who is delivering your daughters food, who is delivering food to your family's home ???.

Society was better before food deliveries. I never use them as both restaurants and customers are getting squeezed and the riders are often reckless.

What scares me more is that we have no idea who these MEN are. Time and again there are reports of rapists and murders coming accross in the boats . It would be so easy to attack a woman or teenager on their own in their home .

Food companies should be fined 25 thousands for every illegal delivering their food

Every UK business that hires Illegal workers is normally fined large amounts for each illegal worker when caught. More enforcement officers needed and start fining these companies the 10000 gbp each time, it will soon stop when hits their bottom line. Any economic migrant caught working illegally should be deported. Politicians need to push Gov agencies to actually enforce our laws and put our citizens first.

We have lots of immigrants in Hull that all deliver for these companies. I've always wondered if their asylum claims have been dealt with. Even Tesco uses them. Investigative journalist required. And they have expensive bikes.

Someone getting a delivery in your apartment block would be granting them access to your building, with absolutely no idea who they are and no means of identifying them if anything happened.

Never expect the government to do any good for the people except for their own personal gain in their pockets.

The biggest issue with this is safety. You're expecting John to deliver your food but it's actually delivered by Jamal with violent convictions back in Africa.

I couldn't get a job in food delivery (I'm a Brit), I couldn't get a job on a farm either because they insisted you live on site (why?!). I see groups of men, obviously migrants, waiting to be picked up from motels every morning to do jobs they wouldn't give me. I see now that an illegal immigrant is suing a farm that underpaid and overworked her, so these firms need to know that they'll pay for this practice in the long run!

I might be in a minority but I have never used a delivery service or an Uber.

NOONE should be hiring illegal migrants, this is how these people continue to live in this country when they have no right to be here. No wonder the Honey Office has lost track of 17,000 people who withdrew their application for asylum - they have worked out a way to circumvent the system. People who hire them should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Boycott Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eat and more importantly vote Reform.

All delivery drivers should have to take random photos of themselves during order deliveries. All delivery drivers should have to have a background check. All delivery drivers should have to pay taxes. Food could be tampered with.

Imagine a killer with no documents delivering food. These companies should be prosecuted for allowing such probabilities that can be avoided. Even the government is bunch of criminals that allow such things

I'm not a natural Reform voter, but I'm glad Tice is doing this. If you use these delivery apps, you are spitting on British workers. In my city, virtually every delivery rider is evidently a migrant and rides an e-bike (which aren't cheap). There's no feasible way a migrant delivery rider could afford an ebike from day one, so this leads me to believe gangmastering (ie middlemen hiring riders) is a big problem in this industry. Investigate them and shut these immigration profiteers down.

Even Royal mail are at it, there's a shortage of staff to cope with the Xmas pressure so Royal Mail are using an agency to draft in people to work for Royal Mail and these people are driving royal mail vans and some have been found to not even have a licence to drive, there's also been theft of parcels and some of them are not even bothering to deliver the parcels and just bring it all back.

The government will never stop it, just like the grooming scandal, which was covered up for thirty years and is still going on to this day.

Not vetted and working illegally I wonder how long before a customer gets stabbed? . Very dangerous situation and the delivery companies should be boycotted. And prosecute them too.

These delivery companies should be prosecuted, and people should stop using these delivery companies.

They have a very effective and efficient way of dealing with this type of thing in the Philippines. On regular random days the traffic enforcers and the police set up checkpoints in differing locations. They literally stop every bike rider and check that they have the necessary paperwork, (drivers license, test certificate, insurance etc), if not, the bikes are seized. It’s not uncommon to see truck loads of bikes being carted off to the vehicle pounds.

So, who gets the up to £20,000 fine per illegal worker, and up to 5 years in prison? The very simple solution is to fine and imprison the account holder(s).

Stop using the companies, pop out and get your own we wouldn’t have this problem!

As mentioned why would anyone use a substitute account and not get paid the full delivery amount , when they could just register themselves and keep all the delivery fee . The answer is obvious .

What he's talking about with wages dropping is exactly what happened to me. I worked in Truro, Cornwall as a deliveroo driver for about a year. Some days I was making more than £300 for a 12-hour shift. There was only a handful of drivers and we were all doing well & happy. Then all of a sudden 5 - 6 new drivers showed up & our income went from £300 to less than £150 a day. By the time you pay petrol & insurance, it's no longer worth it. and yes you can allow someone else to use your account, so it is wide open for abuse. The easiest way to stop it is for the tax office to contact the people who own the account and demand they pay tax on the money that has gone through their account.

BOYCOTT THESE FOOD OUTLETS THEN

Apparently there's over 17,000 of them that the home office are completely oblivious about.

When a load of the Home office civil servant's are themselves immigrants we can only expect this sort of outrage to continue indefinitely.

The ceo of any firm found to be employing an illegal migrant should be jailed that would stop this practice, and if they are not a British resident the firm should be banned from operating in UK

Thats absolutely true, there so many videos where illegal migrants hotels where there are bikes with deliveroo insulated food bags and you can see illegal migrant coming out of hotels to go to work. Shame such illegal scandal is going in our country.

This is a disgrace. My neighbour ordered food from just eat, 2 Albanians wer sat in the car and they attempted to drag a 6 year old off our green. Guess what the police did? NOTHING, THEY EVEN DROPPED THEM BACK HOME. NO CONCEQUENSES AT ALL. I've raised an issue with the police as I need an explanation but so far I haven't even had a response from the coppers. I wonder what would happen to ther child. It would be a different story then

This has been known for years this u can see all the bikes outside the hotels there was even a video of them riding from an hotel to a car wash to work and riding back afterwards an yet nothings ever done governments a joke

As a delivery rider this is a big issue. Some people make a fortune creating a bunch of accounts and then renting them out. Substituting should be banned, its also harder for us who work legitimately and play by the rules with orders and earning potential being greatly diminished.

We have several of these mobile eat places close to where we live, every one of those workers do not speak any English-speaking. The police use to do a purge and get rid of them but there are hundreds of them and the police no longer come around.

This is why when a delivery moped rider has an accident, especially if another vehicle is involved, they are very unhappy to get any insurance, police or ambulance involved. A large percentage are illegally working, have no/fraudulent insurance and driving licence. Quite a regular occurrence for a person to be using another persons details to work. UBER drivers are known to do this, all those security checks and reassurance that you are getting a vetted driver......and some other chap turns up " borrowing "" that UBER account.....We investigated this in the Borough of Richmond and Kingston as part of an investigation into unlicensed taxis.

This is shocking on so many levels. Getting rent free and free food, getting paid and not paying tax/NI like rest of us AND affecting pay of genuine workers. It must stop

I raised this with Uber Eats because 4 times in a row the delivery driver was not the driver shown on the app. They just shirk responsibility and say it is for the account holder to ensure any substitute is OK and has the right to work, so uber eats don't vet substitute drivers directly which doesn't inspire confidence. Couldn't give me a good reason as to why the option to have a substitute is necessary, like Richard said, if legit they can just setup their own account

I’ve seen a few stopped by police, not one policeman but a van full of police for one man on a bicycle. I thought this was strange and asked a friend who works for the police if they were delivering a bit more than fast food. He said yes, they often stop them and find all sorts.

😮 Why isn’t the person with the account paying tax? Surely they are because all earnings are payed to them?

Where my sister lives there is a neighbour who runs a whole crew of illegal migrant delivery people. He gets the delivery call and then sends out one of them to do the delivery for him pocketing a percentage of the payout for doing nothing himself.

The “jobs no one wants to do” have to pay a premium to entice people to do them. Unless the system finds a way to thwart the natural economics of the system by exploiting desperate people.

Brits dont and wont do this kind of job cycling in the rain at night in 3 degrees at least you get your warm food on time from the comfort of your homes but still complain

I work for the main delivery company and this report is accurate. Every so often a bunch of them are caught and suddenly orders go through the roof. Over the next few weeks they are simply replaced with more.

Easy way of stopping this stop supporting organisations who employ them.

Next check the frigging security industry.

So the British workers are being punished as so many illegal drivers taking crap money to do the same jobs but they have no outgoing bills!

We need a law that strips the bank accounts and all the assets of anyone not checking the background of foreign job applicants and knowingly employing them. That can go towards the legal and other costs to the taxpayers. It also needs to be a deportable offence both for the employee and where not born here the employer on their release from prison. Only by our penalties being seriously draconian will this stop. But sadly the quality of our so called but not very British politicians is so low and woke there will be no real deterrent made available to stop this further abuse of the British public.
