I'm sure they will. At least the fact they provided first aid and helped get her to a hospital shows they didn't intend to shoot a little girl. It's still a horrible thing, but at least it appears to have not been intentional. The sad thing, aside from what this innocent girl now has to go through, is that all of this could have been avoided had Putin not put his own political aspirations and legacy above the lives of innocent Ukrainians and his own soldiers who are each dying in the thousands.

Partisans fighters have been using civilian vehicles for ambush tactics. this sort of shit happened with Americans in their wars in the Middle East too. War sucks, innocents die. She was lucky.
Obviously her physical and emotional recovery are the most important things, but I hope they can do whatever drs do to lessen scars on her sweet face. I know some of it will remain, but being young they may be able to make the scar much less. It would be hard to be a young teenage girl (which she will be soon) with a big scar on her face. And she doesn’t deserve it. Poor thing. She’s a survivor.❤️
The scar is least of her problems. She cant swallow her saliva and speak. Better hope that her throat heals as it should. Where i live doctors cant find problem with my throat, and mine did not took a bulet. There are a lot of muscles that need to align to work as intended. I would change any scar over ability to swallow without pain.

i don't want to sound pesimistic here, but in all truth i hope everyone survives to see a free Ukraine again. I hope that our 11 year old gymnast returns to that which she loves, and that someday she'll become an olympian. wearing her scars not as a sign of fear but as a sign of the struggle of survival... in both life in general and life in a war zone. a symbol that outweighs any grief or pain, to stand as a symbol of the strength we all have to survive... i hope, hell i'd pray if i was religious... i'm sorry what she had to endure, what everyone is having to endure... i'm ashamed the rest of the world values their lives outside a conflict zone as being too valuable to put on the line for a belief that you all have become a symbol of.... living or dead. you've shown the world true bravery and patriotic pride, you brought people together who want to help even if its not of the same level of risk... i hope for a future, better now, because of you all... than what i feared it was going to be without your faith, pride and strength. i know fear stands at every door, every shadow... but you've shown us that fear takes a back seat when it comes to Ukrainians. Prayers for her recovery and she is able to go back to her gymnastics. She is so good. It's so sad what those Russian soldiers did to her. It's unforgivable.
The more stories like this come out, the harder it is to empathize with Russian soldiers who don’t want to be there. The more they target civilians the less I care about their plight
If I were young, inexperienced, and scared of what might happen if I didn't do what I was told... I can't walk in the Russian soldier's boots and feel what they are feeling now any more than I can truly feel the fear and hunger and cold the Ukrainian civilians do.

Sadly, it isn't just Russians or even just soldiers, who are heartless, and it does sound as if at least some of the soldiers there tried to help and got her to a hospital. I am not offering excuses or saying it isn't horrid; it is both and so much more! What I am saying is with the conscripts and even some others of lower rank, they are scared to fight and scared not to, because of what or who might be behind them. I have to wonder if all of the Russian commanders and generals who have died, didn't die 'on purpose' because they knew what would await them in Moscow if they survived defeated. War is a tragedy, for all involved. Right now, most of us can just offer up prayers for peace, prayers for tolerance everywhere now and in the future, and punishment for those deserving of it. Let mankind learn from this tragedy and all of the others for the final time. But never forget!!!
