My Ukrainian grandmother, Annastacia, taught me how to help her make these. I have made a few times before. Last time I make potato kind, and this weekend my niece and I are making cherry kind. I am so excited!

I am now in your course but just saw this video for the first time... Your way looks much easier than what my in-laws taught me with rolling it all out in a big sheet... Because then you have to roll the extra again (and again) to make a new sheet to cut!

Thank you very much, for discribing how to make my own wareniki, i will try your recipe soon. BUT i have a question... can you tell me what to do, for perfect Wareniki with potatoes and Onions? I Love them soooo much ^^

Filling is the most important thing in varenyky. Cook potato, fry onion together with salo and then add it to the mashed potato.

My aunt and grandma make them with just potatoes, never really thought to add cherries. BTWs, where is the best place to start learning Ukrainian - i.e. grammar, vocabulary, alphabet, thx.
