ran into dazza yestdy arvo, he was chucking a babie and asked if i would pop along. i said yeah nah mate, i need juice for the commy and i dont have much kanga left this week. he gave me a green back and said dont forget the esky and when youre at the servo grab some snags and a bottle of dead horse, then pop into the bottlo and grab a slab and some ice and come over about 1. i said shell be right mate, ill be there. :) the eem-you, not eem-ou, and kangaroo, both cant walk backwards, hence our coat of arms is for always moving forwards., oh, and both are edible.
@@Maushine hahha, yes.. .. saw darren yesterday afternoon, he said he was having a bbq and asked me to come to it. i said id love too, but couldnt afford to as i had to put fuel in the commodore ( holden car here ) and didnt have the money. he handed me a 100 dollar note and stated not to forget the cooler, and when i was at the service station getting fuel for the car, get some sausages and tomatoe sauce, then go to the bottle shop and purchase 24 cans of beer ( aka slab ), a bag of ice for said cooler, and come over to his house about 1 pm, i said that will be fine at 1pm, i will see you there.
@@Maushine You'll be happy to know that no-one speaks like this - but most of the phrases in there are quite common: ran into, Dazza (Darren), arvo, barbie (not babie), pop along, juice, greenback (more usually called "hunjee"), esky, servo, snags, a slab, about 1/2/3.. (time), she'll be right.
Loved this video! But I'm concerned about that penalty 😂😅. Regardless, it's cool seeing folks learning about our island (and continent) country. Well done! Looking forward to your next instalments ... 👍🦘🇦🇺
Good to see that you are willing to learn guys Ripper video! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏻 Keep up the good work I hope you have a ripper day guys!👍🏻 Regards Nigel WMH Team Ps. Good news! Wesley Media Hub has now officially subscribed to this channel 👍🏻
This was funny! A bogan is approximately what I think the Dutch would call a "tokkie"? It is often an insult but not always and may occasionally be used in a friendly or humorous way. Depends on the context. "Servo" = abbreviation for "service station" = petrol/gas station. "Bottle-o" = abbreviation for "bottle shop" = liquor store. Ripped off with the Grand Prix answer! I grew up in Adelaide and many F1 drivers at the time said Adelaide was the best street circuit they'd raced on, before it moved to Melbourne.
You let us down Brother, even with the sport advantage. You can't let the Boss win the next one. Your.s and all our Manhood's is at stake. Do you know the significance of 99.94 or 9 times Bathurst winners, how about Winged Keels. The presures on Mate , you need to know these things. It's time to step up and take one for the team, were counting on you Cobber.
Quiz master ChatGPT seems to have some sort of grudge against Noah. Maureen was right about “ripper” also referring to a fart, but it isn’t technically the slang meaning behind the word. Also I don’t know what drugs the quiz master was smoking, but a point shouldn’t of been given for service. Although Maureen was close and absolutely deserves props for being on the right track, Service (which can be a very broad term) and service station are definitely 2 distinctively different things. The same with the answer wine, from Noah. Very close and deserves props for getting so close.. but quiz master was right in not giving a point on a technicality. It was a very close game, well played to you both! Very enjoyable video, much like all the others have been and looking forward to the next one!
While it indeed looks like ChatGPT has some personal vendetta going on with No, it’s funny because he literally cannot go a day without asking a question to it! 😂 Secretly I knew service was way too broad, but I would take everything I could to avoid the punishment hehe. Thank you for your reaction! :)
Maureen did NOT deserve to get a point for 'servo'. If you said servo when you were talking about the service you received somewhere, nobody would understand what you were saying, For example: "The servo in that shop was so good". We would be looking at you going "what does she mean??" It is very specifically referring to a petrol station only!! BUT.. it didn't matter because she would have won with 16 points instead of 17 anyway. Congratulations, Maureen!! 🥇🥳🎉🍰 Better luck next time, Noah, you are loving that Vegemite goodness!! Great video guys, good fun to watch you two struggle with Australiana.
That was hilarious. 😂 Just think of all that vitamin B you got from that tea spoon. 😜 To be honest Adelaide did have the Grand Prix before Melbourne got it. Adelaide was a better street circuit. Also servo shouldn't have been given just for service. AI still has a lot to learn. 😏 Well done guys for the effort. 😎
Kosciuszko is a Polish name, so a bit closer to home for you. (Tadeusz Kosciuszko -for some reason the Poles beat the English to naming our biggest mountain). Adelaide had the F1 Grand Prix until 1996. Yes, Melbourne is very sport mad city with the F1, Tennis, Melbourne Cup horse race, Boxing Day Test (cricket) and the AFL Grand Final. Sydney want to catch up with Melbourne. They have the Sydney-Hobart yacht race, the Everest horse race (but that doesn't stop the nation..), New Year's cricket test and the NRL rugby Grand Final. Both cities have 1x Olympics each and 1x Commonwealth Games each. I believe that Australia is the only country to have public holidays for sporting events. 😄🏉⚽🏏
Firstly where are you people from , a good effort technically Australia is not a continent as it is Oceania in our history books but according to the UN Australia is. With the F1 question Melbourne is the currant mind you about 30 years ago Adelaide was home for 10 years.
Why do you have several New Zealand flags flying in your thumbnail when you are clearly doing an Australian video? New Zealand and Australia are 2 Different flags. Good video though.
Exactly for this reason! 😊 now people won’t have high expectations of us getting a lot of questions correct if we’re unable to get the flag correct anyways! Thank you for your compliment, have a good one (I actually made a small mistake maybe but don’t tell anyone!) 🥹^Mau
the continent of Australia is called Australasia comprising new zealand and some neighbouring islands in the pacific ocean, have a good time on your trips
@@Maushine yes it’s really interesting and from what I can figure out, there are two classifications of continents taught around the world- Oceania is defined by geographers as a geographical region. However it is not technically a continent as a continent is a continuous expanse of land and so the geographical continents we are taught are Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America, Australia and Antarctica. These are the official continents according to the National Geographic Society.
You got ripped off a bit there. Adelaide hosted the Australian GP in the 80s and 90s. Also tree kangaroos are also found in Papua New Guinea. So kangaroos not solely native to Australia.
Australia's highest mountain on the mainland was named by the Polish explorer Paweł Strzelecki after the Polish patriot and military commander, Tadeusz Kościuszko who assisted General George Washington in the America War of Independence. The highest mountain in Australian territory is Mawson Peak an active volcanic summit of the Big Ben massif on Heard Island, an external Australian territory in the Indian Ocean. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mawson_Peak (Relatively few Australians would know this!)
