In this video we will by trying out several different "typical" Australian drinks, from Up&Go in the morning to Bundaberg rum in the evening, we will give all of them a rating. Hope you enjoy! Have a good one!
You need not worry, you can't offend rum drinkers, they have no taste. I noticed the white wine you had was a Pinot Grigio. Try a Sauvignon Blanc with or without Semillon. It's probably the best white we make in this country, and it doesn't have to be expensive to taste good. The best value are Wolf Blass, Jacob's Creek, or Yellow Tail. I'm sure you weren't getting a little drunk near the end, especially you, Maureen, haha!! Great video guys, such hard work(!!) and you did it very well.
No Australian drink tasting is complete without Milo. Others to try are Passiona, Cottees cordial, Ribena, Big M and Farmers Union Iced Coffee. But Milo is the trump card.
The worst thing is that I’m a super fan of cottees cordial 😂 but I guess since I’ve been loving it so much since the beginning, I completely forgot to add it in the vid! I will definitely try all the other brands you mention ^Mau
Yes VB is the best of the everyday beers! Carlton Draught shood be second tho😂. The rest...who cares 😂 Oh glad you noticed the quiz questions in the caps..love those! Well done on getting the Ned Kelly question correct!
Bundaberg is a city in Queensland. They pronounce it like bun. Bun-da-berg. Bundaberg is best known for its Rum, since Queensland is rich in sugar plantations. They also grow macadamia nuts therefore they make Nougat too! Brewed soft drinks and a dozen or more other flavours are also made in Bundaberg.
@Maushine so many donkey's years ago of the Past that actually Foster's Lager was the very most popular beer in Australia & Yes I really do still love Fosters to this day right now & my other very old favourite beers that I do really do love when I used to live & also holidayed in Queensland but mainly in (NQ North Queensland) like Mount Isa, Cairns, Townsville & Mackay were both Cairns Draught & (NQ North Queensland) Lager which they were by (C.U.B Carlton United Breweries) in Cairns in North Queensland & also originally being from Mount Isa as a Queenslander (Banana Bender) myself is that I do drink Fourex Beer & another Queensland beer called Brisbane Bitter that was also been made by (C.U.B Carlton United Breweries) but in (Briisie) Brisbane in the very early (1980s) & there was also Powers Bitter Beer also from late (80s) &/or the early (90s) who were the sponsors of the new Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Team at that time of course. But I DON'T really like having Bundaberg (Bundy) Rum on its own by itself at all but I like most people would prefer to have it with Coca Cola as in Rum & Coke with Ice to ease both the Strength & Taste of the Rum itself & also Bundaberg (Bundy) Rum can be used for as a Marinade your Food/s & also Cooking especially Christmas Dinners to make a Rum Sauce for a Christmas (Pudd) Pudding & also making Rum Flavoured Egg Nogg Drinks & also Bananas cooked in Rum as Bananas Au Rhum which is a Sweet &/or Dessert of course.
To enjoy Bundaberg Rum for the taste and not just the effect you have to mix it with another drink as being a dark Rum made from sugar cane its taste can be brutal. Coke Cola is one popular mixer along with ginger beer (Dark and Stormy) or ginger ale. There are also cocktails made on Bundy Rum and pineapple juice that are interesting. The Bundaberg Rum factory does also produce some special aged rums and liqueurs that are much smoother and less harsh on the palette, although these are generally much more expensive and harder to find.
The other flavours of Bundaberg Ginger beer are worth trying. They have a few different flavours that are great to drink, icy cold, on warm afternoons.
Who the heck has Up&Go for breakfast. Whoever said that it's a 5 star product has rocks in their heads and it is definitely not a typical breakfast here in Australia. No way.
carlton dry, swan draught and emu export are good beers, other alcohol in vodka cruisers and smirnoff double blacks and of course milo is the best for in the morning and at night
@@Maushine Have you tried Milo yet? (My low). It’s a food drink with a bland chocolate taste, which is why Aussies ram up the flavour by using a couple of tablespoons in a glass or mug! We even eat it directly from the tin or spoon it over a bowl of ice cream! 😃😋😋. Look for the green tins in the supermarket. Always use a dry spoon and reseal it tightly because it absorbs moisture from the air in much the same way that instant coffee granules do.
Enjoyable video I have a neutral opinion of most of the drinks. If you do another drinks video you could add creaming soda as a soft drink, Cascade, Little Creatures and Swan Lager for beer. The beers from Tasmania and Western Australia were not represented in this video.
I hate beer so I will just have to trust your judgement. I prefer white wine wine and prosecco and dislike red wine and boxed wine. We are all different. My favourite Prosecco at the moment is Soar Prosecco....The Bundy Rum should be mixed with Coke...
Very risky and controversial judging beer which are traditionally competitors from different states! 😂XXXX and Great Northern = Queensland. Carlton Draught and VB = Victoria. Tooheys = New South Wales. Coopers = South Australia. I hate Bundaberg rum too, so thumbs up to your judgement from me! Australia is starting to produce some excellent craft gins now too, at small distilleries.
Boost is ok i think, ive tried it at sometime. I think i was tricked the first time because its Boost not Booze and my maybe inebriated state may have told me lies haha
@@Maushine every australian goes through a goon era normally in peoples teenage years. grab 4 boxes for like 30-40 dollars to share between friends and at the end of night your either passed out or throwing up its not pleasant, waking up the next morning they give real bad hangovers.
Sorry but you can’t compare wines of different colours. Compare reds or whites or rose, because they each have different categories and are consumed with different foods.
@@Maushine Indeed! LOL! Have you ever watched James Hoffmann teach Tom Scott how to discover his favourite style of coffee? They’re both from the UK and James is a rather famous barista in UK circles. It’s worth watching because the same techniques can apply to beers, cheeses, wines, etc.
