Be careful of kale, oxalates can cause an issue in some. I watch out for cruciferous, namely kale but chard is safe. Stick arugula on occasion or mostly spinach. Bone broth is a must. Heals issues caused by chronic inflammation. Always do yeast free anything.

Swiss chatd IS a variety of beet grown for foliage. Beets and spinach are very high in oxalates. Kale and other cabbage family veg are the low oxalate greens. Best plan is to rotate your foods throughout the year. This avoids overdoing anything.

I was told oxalates that can hurt bind together in the body and are not swallowed. I'd be more concerned about the pesticides and sanitizing solution those come with because vegetables are porous and will absorb all of that.

High oxalate foods also can trigger/cause auto immune symptoms. So you would want to avoid raspberries, potatoes, too much carrots etc. Certainly things like spinach, chard, beets, and almonds as well which are the worst culprits. You may also need to avoid cruciferous if your thyroid cant handle the goitrogenic effects. I cant tolerate cruciferous anymore even if I cook them, which is strange. Everyone is different.

@AquariusManASMR

I've been dealing with lupus for 30 years, and my life has completely changed on the carnivore diet. My inflammation is completely gone. However, I am stuck with issues from degenerated joints from too many years of eating omega-6 fatty acids, sugar, and anti-nutrients in plants such as oxalates, lectins, and phytates. I only eat beef and wild caught fish because omega-6 fatty acids are too high in chicken and pork. For anyone out there with auto immune disease, I would look into doing the carnivore diet first for at least 3 months. Then, if you want, start slowly adding in things from the AIP diet. Personally, carnivore is easy now that I've been doing it for a while, so I'm sticking with it.

What do you do when your body is not digesting or absorbing Nutrients from the food you eat? I seem to be having lots of inflammation in my gut area and organs how do I get around this or resolve this?
@zoratabin1058
@zoratabin1058 3 года назад
Great question! I have some absorbing issues myself (I take a LOT of vitamin D, but I can not see the results in my blood work)...I started to work with a local naturopathic doctor. She started with a very complete blood work and discovered that I am magnesium deficient, which has an effect on the vitamin D absorption as well. So, I would probably start with a well recommended naturopath. I also use pendulum/dowsing for health questions.

Hashimoto's and gallbladder removal so i stuck with paleo ai and need grilled chicken every day. Body regresses if i leave out due to imbalances in intake ( low refeeding syndrome long term from removal.) What about meat to heart health? Any steaming available and what about spices for Hashimoto's? This is a big one. Most fish and even root veggies like fennel are out due to licorice being a trigger abd gastro. Slow transit is Hashimoto's but it's borderline. How do you do with oils? Are non dairy yogurts an issue? Srry. It's a long destination so far, many dead ends in diet due to chronic gastritis from bile reflux. Marshmallow root and slippery elm a trial this month.
