really appreciate this. kinda lost with the n55 platform but this directed me into the right place. recently changed waterpump on an xi and it was a hassle. one thing i would add to this is hoses. there’s a lot of hoses to the thermostat that also get very brittle to heat. having a mechanic look at those when they are under the car wouldn’t be so bad! thank you man
125,000 kms m235i owner here bought the car at 59,000 kilometres and the car has been amazing just did spark plugs around 6 months ago and coolant hose return line popped off but other than that car has been amazing to me ❤ thanks for the informative video bro
I remember watching someone mention that the coolant expansion hose is extremely likely to burst at 60k. I wrote it off since im new to BMWs and had 55k at the time. My 435xi GC just passed 61k and guess what blew? Yeah. Food for thought. Replace that ish.
I never ran a crank seal guard and I actually did have a serpentine belt fail, but it did not get sucked up or anything and I was able to replace it with no damage to anything else. Might be worth the peace of mind for around $80-$100
