As someone who's had a +10 Brave Edelgard for several years now, yeah, she's starting to struggle now. Honestly, it's both shocking and saddening how she's slowly becoming more and more unable to do anything. Units nowadays are just so powerful that tanking them is impossible.
As a day 1 player. Im really proud of my super tank Nowi that can't tank anything anymore lmao. I tried so hard to keep up but even +30 dragon flowers in and all the new tanky meta skills. Without a dedicated weapon slot that does EVERYTHING. They are going to fall off u.u
When the CYL4 refines came out i used them a lot. Edelgard was so good that i did not even realize i forgot her refine, could not afford it first I went Claude, Dimitri, Edelgard with refines. I used Claude as the leader with active summoner support and with luck i got him to +10 (got some of him on other banners), was bulkier than most think on top of the good healing, decent damage, used Deadeye for pierce. Did try Spd Preempt 3 which did work very well for him on mages and of course nukes who did not outspeed him, other types did often survive the hit but could not kill Claude most times. Claude before the refine did not really work for me but after i loved using him for some time, with the other CYL4 units as a team. I did use B!Seliph a lot instead of Lysithea, but did use Lysithea as a backup/extra for some modes Kinda interesting to see how much they have fallen off, they did keep relevant for very long, and are still kinda usable now but still
There are units that you build a team around in order for them to function optimally. B!Felix is the unit you build a specific team to defeat, which even then, may not happen. The guy is cracked.
Rip brave Ike, I'm using him as a wom 4 galeforce follow up in the aoe felix team...which I'm barely using cause I don't have celica ring and emblem and fallen Ike can clear 90% of the ar maps
My take on Oblivion's tier list: Pretty spot on, glad you're giving Marianne the respect she deserves, I do think Alfonse is a bit too high because of how inconsistent he is, but overall pretty good list. My take on Tacho's tier list: My boy you truly went savage here ngl, but I do appreciate the honesty, all the generics are understandable except for BHector, I think he should be D tier at the very least, his armor weakness nullification comes really clutch from time to time, again Alfonse is not that good imo just as I mentioned before and the Marianne placement is appaling... Rant: I don't understand why some cyl generic tanks in todays meta are all above her when they can BARELY tank anything in todays meta, Marianne at the very least has her unique niche in AR, if you're having problems with far saviors then that's probably a skill issue, since the galeforce initiator should be able to deal with it, if not then you weren't winning anyway since most teams don't have another unit just as strong as the galeforce innitiator in their AR-O team because of how tight in (almost useless)mythics the VoH teams are, so giving another action to your galeforce innitiator(Felix) while deleting another unit is a godsend, but maybe that's just me favoring AR too much(end rant). Anyway, other than the terrible Marianne placement, the list is pretty good as well.
Im so mixed on Alfonse. Sometimes hes dead weight and sometimes he snowballs and makes matches unwinnable. Felix is busted. Bernie Im underwhelmed by but I think we need more time to fully explore her kit. And Robin is a f*cking menace.

@HisCoconutGun metagames don't take time to develop, not in FEH. They simply exist and shift. When a new ability or character jumps into the mix, the Meta changes. That has NO bearing on what you think of Bernie right now. You don't know if Felix is going to have a hard counter for him in the future. And yet your SURE he's busted 🤔. I'm pretty sure we thought that about brave seliphe at launch too, yet where the hell is he? Your not suppose to take into account the what ifs. Cause they exist for everyone. You take their kits as is, and the current meta as is.
Still holding out hope one day that they'll toss these guys a bone. It just doesn't feel right that CYL units (and legendaries/mythics) fall off as hard as they do. If no other units get a rerefine and/or skill remix, they should at the very least.
Byleth can fly and spam AoEs (Marth ring, Quickened Pulse, she gets Tempo now) Can she still use Divine Pulse? Sure, but I've found AoEs to be more fun
From my experience Edelgard can tank Felix with shield fighter, and this is both rounds of combat. She doesn't if he has an AOE build but so far every Felix on offense I have encountered still has gust so he has never beaten her.
Bernie with true damage suppport from ploy or Rearmed!Lucina has been consistently beating up the new Fjorm for me, she even takes down Hrdrun and B!Alfonse, and the moment they release someone that can vantage properly with paranoia her stonks are going up, even through she does vantage pretty well rn And it scares me that Felix is likely getting poweercreept sooner than later lmao
I love how Felix is so good that everyone knows that you're talking about him whenever you guys said "we'll talk about *him* soon." Also, is Felix the third unit (Ike and Lyon being the other two) that happened to be an Oblivion favorite that was so beyond broken that it made so many people pray for an immediate counter?
I'm loving felix meta , I'm really hoping to update lysithea even tho she isn't the greatest, I liked watching your special spiral 4 tier list whenever she the best back then still she's my favorite lysithea 😊.
Brave felix is the most egregious, unreasonable, anti-fun instance of powercreep this game has ever seen. I really don't understand why they made him. Especially right after the celica ring. Being the best player phase unit by 40 miles wasnt enough, he also needs dc and a just confusing amount of DR? I just like, dont get the design philosophy. I cant think of any other single unit that has been as suffocating and over centralizing. he really just sums up feh's issues with (unnecessary) powercreep and why im starting to consider not playing anymore. units having weaknesses is what makes the game interesting. he is not interesting, engaging, or fun.
I have a Ninja Zelgius that can sometimes kill Felix if he has Paranoia active. The second bit with Lightless Luna can sometimes kill if the Felix isn't too merged up, and so far he and Gatrie are the only 2 that seem to work 🥲
about tiki and dimitri, the problem with the felix meta right now is that he's a red unit, she's green. despite having similar refine, the green is enough for her to get nuked by felix, while dimitri, despite tank it for a little, might be due to him being blue. the weapon effect does its thing and the skills too, its really just the weapon advantage that makes him tank at this point. lol -----edit------ also, if you notice, there is always at least one cyl unit that was made to counter a unit that was hard to kill in the meta, but now those units are outdated, so is the cyl unit as well.. (erika (f!edelgard)), (hector(used to be a god tier savior)) etc
