Supposed to pick up a very similar early 70s StarCraft V this weekend and looking to have it set up as a river running duck rig. Some good inspiration.
How is the outboard for running through vegetation? I have a 25hp on a flats boat that works alright but not for thick stuff. Also, how shallow can this run?
Its not bad. Catatils will get tangled around the prop but usually going in reverse will throw them off. We are mostly in at least 2ft of water so dont really need a mud motor. If shallower will just use the canoe
This boat doesnt leak a drop but definitely something you will want to watch out for buying used. 18ft is as big as id go and still be able to conceal it decently.
