I watched this once. Went into game and honestly the free throw method is so easy now. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t just circle size but rather where you hit the Pokémon with the ball. Now im hitting excellents almost every Pokémon. No presetting the circle, just swoop swoop swoop nose EXCELLENT! Great video. Excellent value. Thanks a millie

As in what you’re actually doing to get the excellent throw like what you’re doing with your thumb, what’s the best movement to do etc… instead of “go through the motions “ and “practise”.

Is there some way in like developer settings on your phone to make it show where you're touching so we can see the precise path of your finger and when you release the ball? I think we just want details like the shape of the path your finger makes when throwing or the angle of that path,the length of it, and the speed stuff like that.

@@inkyimpressions for curveball you wanna try and aim right or left of the Pokemon. Its a bit of a pain because how much you throw left or right depends on how far away the Pokemon. There are no other tips I can give you than practice as much as possible, it's honestly not too hard to get the hang of once you're used to it

What's always tricky for me is how hard to throw the ball depending on how far away the pkmn is. I'm absolutely stellar at catching Bidoof after the latest event tho lmao

I want to keep practicing, but I don't have enough money to keep buying pokeballs lol. I live out in the sticks kinda, so there' no pokestops. I am trying to level up to add one here but, it's a pain to level up. I'm only level 27.

i still have no clue how to do excellent throws T_T how do you know when you need to release the finger and what part on screen to spin the ball? nice throw is easy, great throws i hit randomly, and excellent just pure luck or the pokemon is huge and get it 50:50

It takes practice to get the timing down for a variety of Pokemon. I would recommend turning the playback speed to 0.25 and watching the visual examples section a few times to see when I release and how I throw (6:47)

Help, the consecutive good throws quests are annoying... i hate them, i tried everything, idk it's just random, i hit them in the center with the pokeball, with the perfect ring and sometimes it gives me a good/great/excellent throw but most of the time it doesn't... i don't get it, or is there something else beside the hit the pokemon with the correct ring size and hit it right in the center, even with the curveball i fail to get consecutive good/great throws

The part I struggle with is consistently landing the excellent throw from one species to the next because every species has such a different throw needed to hit the excellent. Also something that I hadn't really considered before watching this video is the question of are there different ways to throw an excellent for the same Pokemon. Like perhaps it's just the way I perceive it but in my mind but when I throw excellencts at a Bulbasaur I have to throw at a much shallower angle on the screen then you were doing.

There are definitely a lot of variations in terms of throwing at the same Pokemon. This can be a difficult topic to cover for that reason, because some people might find the way I throw to be more difficult opposed to another method. Of course the same can be said vice versa. Landing excellent throws from one species to another definitely takes a lot of practice. I know it seems redundant, but it's muscle memory in your fingers that help you perform the task successfully.

I don't know what im doing wrong, but when i set the circle to the smallest point for an excellent throw, then release and click the ball again when i go to throw it, it resets the circle size so i have to start all over again?

So what is happening is that you are clicking the ball again after your first throw. Whenever you touch the ball, the circle radius will start moving again. If you just wait for the attack animation during your 2nd attempt, you will see that the circle radius stays where you had it before. Give it a try on a few Pokemon, you should see what I'm talking about

@@reinaguzman9395 What I have been doing since watching this video is: I use my left pointer finger to spin and throw the ball, and I make counter-clockwise circles and then throw my curve ball towards the right and have them arch back to the middle. If the pokemon goes over to the right, I just wait til they're in the middle or the left again before I throw. To do quick catch, what LuckyBunz does with their left hand pulling the ball menu to the left, I do that with my right thumb with the berry menu pulling to the right instead. For hard-to-catch pokemon like raid bosses, I circle lock and then throw when they're doing their attack the way all the righty youtubers do, although past that, I think it's just about practicing to get more accurate at all the different distances and pokemon sizes. I did also find a video from another RU-vidr where showed their throws in slow-motion and showed/ highlighted their release point and throwing arc for three different pokemon, and that was really helpful too. : )

I don't see the purpose of quick catch when sometimes you miss the timing of exiting out and then you got to go back in and recatch when it would've just been faster to standard catch.

lol tf excellent throw bonuses used to only be 100 before the buff? that sounds kind of whack lol or did they just buff it that high for the release of lvl40 and the eventual release of 40-50 or something. kind of interesting though i've always been catching pokemon this way since i started with the circle lock method and i diddnt even know that was a method for excellent throws. but i was barely getting any excellent throws until watching this for some reason... weird. i always felt like using smaller circles for closer pokemon and bigger circles for farther away pokemon help too.

how can I practice if I can never get enough pokeballs? can I buy pokeballs? no I'm not allowed to buy coins and there's no gyms anywhere here so I can't grind coins,can I get pokeballs from pokestops? no there's no pokestops here,can I get pokeballs from friends? no,they never send me any gifts,so I can't really practice excellent throws if I'm always low on pokeballs and I have extremely limited ways to get them
