Great tutorial! I am a mining engineer, I was told to get my part 107 Pilot License, now I love drones, I fly using the Drone Racing League Sim but I'm looking to build a freestyle / FPV drone. Your video was immensely helpful. Thank you.
Me and my son just bought a jdi 2se and fell in love with the sport. We are building yours right now and it’s fun as heck. No engineering background whatsoever. Blank slate for sure with us. Learning more every video of yours we watch.
Great video homie great tips for soldering I treat it like Tig welding high heat move fast equals less heat soaked into the part if you go low temp you spend to long waiting which equals more total heat into the part 🍻
Best regards from cologne/ Germany. I’m new to the fpv hobby and your tutorial of building drone was extremely helpful. I’m still waiting for some parts cuz their are out of stock. I would love to see more video’s of how to use betaflight and set everything up, because this is the most confusing thing to me. I’m also planning to use expressELRS maybe you could also doing a video on that ✌️
I'm new to this and want to start building haven't watched the whole video but I am just wondering is there one website to get all the parts I would need or do I have to look at different websites
awesome build! thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with us! your betaflight for dummies video is six years old... would love to see you do your betaflight tuning for this build :)
I was always watching your content and hoping to learn how to build my own drone because I was a fan of drone's, I'm really Lossing hope right now and I hope you will help me🙏😞
Hi this is my first drone build and i am having a hard time finding the parts you used can you comment a link to the foxeer f722 and the 65A ESCs please
Hey man great great work you do. Just wanted to say , that for the job you present us here , you should have x20 times the views you got by now. Will follow you on your journey ! Keep it up
Hi, awesome video and I'd like to follow this build. However, I can't find the fc and esc stack. I'm googling foxeer f722 hd + 65a esc but it's only coming up with foxeer f722 dji 03 and then a separate geprc 45a esc.
Hey bro! Great video, I've put this frame together twice now, as I really enjoy its performance. However, I can't seem to get the 03 to stop shaking during cruising flight. If I'm doing tricks, split s's/ turns ect...... you don't notice it, but giving it some juice and straight on, you can notice it. This frame doesn't come with soft mounts, nor have I found someone who's created a 3d printed soft mount for the master 5 v1 frame. Any suggestions man? My next step is to take some squishy double-sided tape and try and fit it in there on the sides of the plate. Maybe print plates with super soft tpu? Suggestions would be awesome as I really enjoy using the 03 as a main. Appreciate you and your videos. Thanks bro.
I dont know what a soft mount is as I've not yet built my first drone yet however I am a professional 3D CAD design engineer and If your willing to spare some time I could design the part your looking for free of charge.
Great Video I have some small questions I just started in this hobby I’m building SpeedyBee, 5 inch 6S drone I got Speedybee *Master 5 FPV Drone 5in *F405 V4 flight controller * RadioMaster RP2 2.4ghz ExpressLRS ELRS *Boxer transmitter *DJI goggles V2 * Missing Moros GPS Air Unit Do you have any suggestions At this point I’m kind of confused 😐 Thank you!
Its great as long as you dont need to fix something later on. Then your stuck taking it back off to resolder anything or replace a chip on a board. Some waterproof drones use this method. Another thing you need to think about is certain things need to have a heat sink because being coated will reduce their thermal dissipation. Could cause overheating. Taking proper precautions though its fine.
I need to build a very inexpensive purpose built drone. It just needs to have a downward looking camera the ability To pick up 6 oz travel 200 yd drop the 6 oz and fly back 200 yd what do you think the least expensive DIY build .could be can anyone give me a parts list .thank you very much
Dose it matter exactly which motor wire goes where I never see if there’s a proper order to attach each wire like say positive negative and neutral.???? Dose anyone have a good answer???
@@dronecamps 🙏thank you very much I really appreciate you getting back to me, I’m going to build a FPV drone and keep looking to understand all the little details like this before I order all the parts
Freestyle quads prioritize durability, ability to carry a GoPro, and high power video transmitters for extra range and penetration. They also don’t need to be super light since absolute maneuverability isn’t as critical and the extra mass can actually be useful in terms of having weight to throw around and keep the video footage more stable. And many freestyle pilots prefer to fly with HD FPV systems since the better image quality in the live view is prioritized over super low latency or low weight. Racing quads on the other hand prioritize tight handling, light weight, and speed. This is primarily accomplished by using the smallest and lightest parts (20x20 stacks, thin arms, light VTXs / cameras / antennas). VTX power in races is usually limited to 25mW, and race courses are generally small, so using tiny VTXs is no problem since high power output isn’t required. And using video systems with super low latency is critical, so race pilots tend to fly either analog or HDZero. All-out durability is less important since maneuverability and speed are more important, and most race pilots have multiple quads so if one breaks you can fly another for the next heat (and repair the next day or whatever). All that said, you can definitely freestyle a race drone and race a freestyle drone. But a build optimized for one won’t be *as* good as one optimized for the specific purpose. Kind of like an F1 car vs. a pickup truck, but not quite as extreme. Maybe a Porsche 911 vs. a WRX would be a more appropriate comparison.
