Oof I love that variegated adansonii, but I am content never having it. The pressure of having a unicorn... I really love the Jake series, it's nice to see both of you talking about plants.
I love the Jake series, I do wish you would cut down on the separate commentary. Would look far more prepared and well together if you had the commentary while you are there with Jake. It just seems like a repetition/summary of what you already spoke about with him inbetween each plant. No hate, just something constructive.
Thanks for the feedback Alex. This whole “series” thing was an experiment and I think it’s been fun enough for everyone involved that I’m going to keep doing it on this channel. Still have a lot of kinks regarding the right format and editing and everything, so thanks for your patience. I agree with you and probably will just reserve my commentary toward the end if people want to hear more. Cheers man!
Its a 2 layered tray, one holds the water & the other has a layer of felt on top & holds the plants! So basically you put freshly watered terra-cotta pots on top & it uses capillary action to draw up water from the reservoir. I was reluctant to get one for a long time by I primarily grow hoya, but they love it so far! Mine is from the Gardener’s Supply Company😊
Hm, if he were to remove the plant then he would have to take apart the moss pole. If he were to add to the moss pole, it would take minimal effort. One of the advantages of moss is that it's easier to remove the roots from moss than from other surfaces and materials that the roots can cling on, such as bark or wood.
I think it's always good to have a high dose of suspicion and criticism. I prefer to be convinced about something as opposed to just believing it because everyone else does. I agree philodendrons like to climb, but less convinced that climbing affects their growth and form. Monstera have convinced me that they don't mature well without something to climb on.
Legends Of Monstera I see 😅 maybe you’re right :) i do think there are many factors that can play a big role in any plant’s growth so in order to see whether their growth will be better or identical with or without a tree all the other factors need to be ideal too i believe :)
Most people will say humidity, but honestly some variegated areas will do it over time regardless of your conditions. Don't let it bother you too much =)
