Ok, let's really complicate it and run lines along the frame, and have chucks at each wheel! Then have short extensions to reach the tires.

Whoa whoa, let's not get out of hand here, Diego! 😂 Although, I was really thinking about that deeply before I came up with this final decision! The added complexity of having to make sure that the female chucks at each wheel well stays clean and dirt free was also going to make it so much more expensive. I was going to have to use hydraulic quick disconnects and the price of each fitting is ridiculous!

@@KFloTacoma the ARB chucks have a dust cap, but the hydro sounds way better! I'ma check that

amzn.to/44hUhuX - I was looking at something similar to these. Since they're designed for skid steers and earth movers, I figured they would be more mud and dust resistant. Regular air chucks have pretty wide gaps in their design - dust and debris gets into them. If the dust cap comes off, then it's packed with dirt. These hydraulic fittings have a secondary cover built in - which I really liked

@@KFloTacoma we could, of course, attempt to create what we both really want - central air. This would get us close to the Iceland style, but that won't last 100 yards in new England. Werewolf has wheels that work, but not sure about the company.

Haha, yea - that's definitely the ideal situation! I've seen Werewolf's portal axles online and they're badass. I also don't want to spend $$$$ on their product. Jeez, I can buy another truck and build it out as a dedicated rock crawler and just suck it up with my DIY Morrflate system.

That Smittybuilt is cheaper than I figured you'd use, does the tank make up for it's speed? I want something I can air up relatively quickly with, was looking to do the Moorflate as well or something similar. I know you've got the big camper but is there no place to hide it back there that helps with the noise?

This smittybilt is fairly cheap but not really straight chineseum, I've had it for 3 years now. It's held up pretty well through air ups and air downs when we do our crawling trips and powering my diff lockers. If you look at the specs, this puts out almost as much volume as the twin ARB compressor for less than 1/3rd the cost. ARB has 6.16 CFM and this smittybilt has 5.6 CFM. As much as I like ARB, I don't want to dump that much $ on an air compressor. with regards to your other question, I wanted to also keep the compressor, protected from the elements a bit better to make it last longer. Dust and water are enemies for electric motors. The tank is for having extra volume of air in order to sustain the pressure for a little bit longer for the lockers. Without the tank, the pressure switch will keep triggering the compressor to turn on and off quite often.

@@KFloTacoma Very cool maybe it'll be ready if I order it from 4WP at the same time as my sliders. Just started working on moving my rock lights (which I just use for area lighting) from my utility trailer to my bed rack. I found some places to throw them but they're not angled at that nice 45 degree angle. Only one company makes rocklight positioners and they're "pre-order" but it seems more like vaporware. Plus they're a bit too rich for my blood.

Gotcha, I try to save in places where I can. Little things add up real quick with costs and then we end up not having enough funds for the much bigger mods.

How about my air lockers, which drains a constant 70 psi?
