I think this book is for people who are just tired of how X-Men books have operated for a while. Outside Morrison's and Whedon's arcs, there is no good entry point for newcomers. Spider-Man is popular enough for the new premise to work without someone reading 616 or the old 1610, Black Panther is very MCU-esque, so it's for people who would dive in for the first time and not know about Priest or Ahmed.

Thanks for watching and responding. That certainly seems like a great point as to who they were aiming at with this book. While it may not be the book for old school x-men fans or just fans who want to see their favorites it certainly is a good jumping on point for folks who want to be able to go in with no necessary homework on the characters. Overall while it may not have been the book we were hoping for on the channel, it certainly is competently done and peach momoko has a unique style that certainly has its fans.

I really like this approach to an alternate universe. My main problem with X-Men is that there are so many mutants that never really got their time to shine. I think it's smart to have this approach when the Krakoan Era is an ending and X-Men: From the Ashes is seemingly going to go back to telling more conventional X-Men stories.

Thanks for commenting! Really appreciate hearing your perspective, while I think alot of folks were looking for a more classic approach to X-Men you are absolutely right that the From the ashes upcoming books will probably provide that. While we may not agree on this book, it is really nice to see that people are enjoying the approach and hopefully the book continues on for the folks who are fans of it so far.

I am respecting your feelings on ultimate x-men (2024), but imo of ultimate x-men by peach momoko is awesome. This book is unique and different from the regular x-men. First, it has manga feel to it even tho I am more manga reader than comic reader so peaches artstyle instantly attracts me. Second, this has interesting japanese supernatural elements that I really like. Reading @MasoonRana response about "people who are just tired of how x-men books have operated" gave this perfect sentence what makes ultimate x-men (2024) stand out and why it's causing this division between x-men fans. I'm not throwing shades towards you guys, but it's funny that fans having nostalgia blinded them for not liking peach ultimate x-men. Because i see fans complain about how x-men isn't good for the past years and nothing new takes on x-men, but once Marvel just gave them something unique, take on x-men. It's like fans have a switch over saying, "This is not x-men and what makes this ultimate." Along those lines kinda expose hypocrisy to me, but again, I respectfully understand your opinions on peach monokos x-men run. I have not grown up with x-men to be attached, and if I did, I would still like this ultimate x-men run. Plus, peaches x-men reignite my love for x-men again after dropping the krakoan era. My apologies for the long rant. Love your video.

Thanks for the comment and for the explanation of your feelings towards the run. No apologies necessary for the long rant, we really appreciate when people share their opinions on things here on the channel even if those opinions are completely contrary to our own opinions. One of the great things about this medium is stories hit different readers differently and its always cool to see when a story that we see as a weird direction is actually exactly what someone else is looking for. Really happy for you that this run has been something you have enjoyed and has reignited your love for the X-Men, really hope the book continues to be something you enjoy, even if it won't be exactly what we were looking for. I do also really appreciate you pointing out that there is a bit of hypocrisy in asking for new things and then disliking anything that doesn't adhere to the classic story. Regardless of our disagreement I think we can all agree that Peach Momoko is incredibly talented and while the storytelling may not be for us here on the channel, its great that there is an audience for her work.
