Mistakes and things I missed (most of which pointed out by the comments ♥) Mistakes: 3:20 "coins punching" dumbass 14:00 5-2 and 5-4* 15:31 This event actually isn't random. It happens every time you don't have a torch or skull and have completed 0-S 21:15 Dropping V2 into the pit doesn't actually softlock the game. The arm will just spawn after ~2 minutes 24:54 This actually applies to jumping off of any enemy, FP is just the easiest to do this with Missed: There's whatever the fuck this is inside the bomb in 7-2 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xWoek7qsrFI.html There is a second arm boy in the credits. Link to location is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NJ6wsCOtKGQ.html If you hit the coffin of a dead gutterman with a knuckleblaster, you can see the skeleton of the person fueling it If you restart a level with the marksman in your hand, you can see a dog on the coin panel for a sec Passive mannequins will sometimes change positions when you're looking away, but it's a bit finicky I forgot to include my boy Hank on 1-4 and 5-3 “Hark! Neptune has struck them dead” on 5-2 Size 2 fish well In the demo of the game, using slam storage in the 0-1 elevator will unload the level Passive mannequins make faint breathing noises if you stand next to them. 1:38 Major assists will also disable Jakito 3:38 This also applies to the top of the torch on the statue of liberty 17:24 This happens in 7-2 and 7-3 too 19:20 During the self destruct sequence, the panel will say "Gorp light off" 23:28 Apparently every level is clash mode compatible (has jump pads in places you couldn't get to without) and I just never noticed 25:42 So apparently #40 is the email from the creator of Garry's Mod giving hakita permission to use gm_construct
i think u can save v2 you need 2 checkpoints restarts tho cause a vid i saw that did it used 2 and the removing enemies spawn also removes the shooting that the gutterman does in the background as well
@@bugado8953its not sad,its sounds like "i met my childhood hero" kinda music sounds inspirational and touching, not sad(if hakita commented that this music is sad bc of that reason, my bad ig)
I love Ultrakill because at times it feels so polished and well made, but then seeing some of the shit Hakita puts in as secrets or Easter eggs makes you remember “oh yeah this game is made by an insane man”
Fun ultrakill demo fact: in the demo, and ONLY the demo, in the first level, before getting the pistol you can just slam storage up the elevator and out of the map. The entire level will be unloaded and if you complete it without getting the gun the timer will be at 0
More knowledge about that: Rooms will load in if you touch the doors that connect them The hud just does not show up You have your fist and only your fist You can do another slam storage and then dash over to Maurice's room, then kill him and complete the level. Or explore the level from that point. Since glass panels are indestructible without the piercer, it's easy to softlock yourself in the first room that requires you to break the glass floor. In the other one, however, you can parry a projectile to explode the glass.
Video is called "Ultrakill bugs and secrets you probably don't know" Now go look at 7-1 devlog You sure there is not many people who know this? nerd moment
fun fact about number 10: according to the wiki, once you throw the 29 plushies (or florps, or glasses, which are both way quicker) into the trash, the exact amount of giannis that chase you down is 60. that image if him is also a sticker in his discord, where its named "museum security" which has some humorous implications
One thing that I just discovered and haven't seen anywhere else is that if you stand next to a mannequin while it's posing, you can hear it breathe. Its quiet and short and it sounds exactly like a mangled body struggling for air.
Fun fact, the dog inside the earthwormer is a reference to the silent hill 2 dog ending, in this ending it's shown that everything that happened in the game is a consequence of the dog pressing random buttons inside a room.
22:34 oh, that’s not just an Easter egg btw!! Here’s an entry from the terminal that’s relevant to it . “The halls, similar enough to give no sense of direction, but different enough to grant no familiarity, would eventually exhaust each escapee, and as they fell into a deep sleep, their metamorphosis began. Each sinner was torn apart joint by joint, their broken and shattered limbs shoved into hollow statues, starting them to life as the flesh and blood of Mannequins.” You’re seeing the process of a mannequin being made.
There should be a second part where if you then leave after seeing the filth you hear a kill sound effect and when you return theres now a mannequin sitting elgently
The fact about shooting your own bullets blew my mind. I mean, punching is one thing, but shooting your own bullets with another bullet and somehow making them explode is crazy. No wonder V1 sees the world in ps1 graphics, his processor is working on FTL speeds to pull that off.
18:31 fun fact: the small earthmover is actually so far, when near him your hud will start vibrating as its very hard fir the game to calculate its position, it doesnt work on classical hud because its a flat image that goes on your screen and does not need a position in the physical world
For Secret 34 (Pause at 23:10) I took this as V1 monologuing, however, that is also how Hell communicates by using red text and spaced out letters. But the letters here seem to be uppercased and spread out much better than its other instances. Do you think this is up for interpretation or has Hakita confirmed anything?
my theory on the book in 7-4 is its a part of V1's inner dialogue, since v1 was created for war but was never utilized it's jealous of the earthmover for being a more gorgeous and deadly machine who was actually used, which isn't a huge stretch, v1 probably would have died to the earthmover if it wasnt interrupted
It's probably hell due to the red all caps text invoking it. Since it's sentient. Also you have to actually find it. Also if you rush the earthmover's electric gun can't reach you because you got under the leg.
We get a bunch of text in red, which (especially with the spacing at the end) is usually how Hell speaks (see the P2 ARG). And note the wording. "The pages of the book are blank." Not "the rest of the pages are blank". The entire book is blank, even the model is blank, and picking it up just prompts this monologue from either Hell or V1 about how perfect the Earthmover is. "You were beautiful" don't sound like words of jealousy to me, more like words of reverence. And considering Hell has been inspired by human machines before, it fits in more with what we know about its motives than what little we have about the contents of V1's circuits.
All red and spaced out texts is actually hell itself speaking as we know it's alive and playing with v1, the further down we go the more hell contacts us
@@adssyyy7185 I'd argue that there's no confirmation V1 *can't* speak in red text (unless I missed a hakita post), but I do lean towards the hell interpretation of this passage.
Fun fact about 5, a few other structures have this glitch, swapping the textures also effects the glitch, each side of the structures all use the same texture without any modifications (most noticable with the Statue Of Liberty if you look behind it or at the sides) It's also possible to trigger the "Gianni Event" shown in 10 by using Florp Also the 4-3 Something Wicked troll event thing isn't random and usually plays when you get to the "Traitor Hallway" if I remember correcrly
@@ImJustAdam34 correct, although the comment doesn't mention it, mainly because it's only disproving the random part, and also because I may or may not have forgotten to mention it
You can also try the Demo for free, though it only has the Prelude and 1 level of Limbo Btw, one of 1-1's (Limbo's 1st level) Secret Orbs is missing, so dont need to waste your time looking for it if you already have 4
in #7, in order to actually complete the level without killing* V2, you must kill him, then spawn the checkpoint without collecting it. Then reload to the last checkpoint, beat V2, and use the rocket method to fly into the checkpoint. Then finally reload the checkpoint and finish the level.
For #27, you will most likely be able to get a few of these after full release as the same thing appears if you noclip through the p-doors to try and access p-1 and p-2 early
Knew all but 13, 16 and 30. #40 is because the map used in the sandbox is from the game Garry's Mod. Garry Newman is the creator of Garry's Mod. Also, you missed the noclip hidden Hakita watching a rat on screen hidden inside of the bomb in 7-2 and the hidden flower in 7-4.
23:22 the fact that this not only gives more lore on why the OST titles are what they are,but also on the level name is cool, also, the fact that apparently "the pages are blank" could mean that this could actually be what V1 thinks of the earthmover
#39 in some cases, killing a mindflayer with whiplash and knuckle blaster sends them spinning and flying off into the distance. This is especially funny they're doing the laser attack cus it will spin along with them
On #7, you actually can complete the level while saving V2, in order to do so you actually need to rocket ride onto the checkpoint, press ESC, and then press checkpoint, the game thinks V2's death already occured, thus allowing you to move and beat the level.
the plushies in 7-4 are bigrock, on the earthmover, he was a concept artist for alot of the enemies victoria, in the earthmover , shes the main director for pretty much all the 3d models also 28 was actually in the game, then removed, then added back
Did you know that when you jump in the air in Clash mode and spam the attack you can speed up quite quickly, you can keep the speed whilst jumping at the perfect time!
#24 when I wanted to go see the plushie, I found the the most efficient way to get there (since otherwise it takes so damn long) is to use a bunch of dual wield power ups with the sharpshooter pistol, like you showed before.
the #40 easter egg at 25:55 is an email by the creator of gmod, presumably telling hakita to not use any textures from gmod but that he can copy the map layout
4-S fun fact: if you get the skull crate once, you get a blue skull. twice and it turns red. get the third and there will be a purple skull on your head
25:44 That is Garry Newman, the creator of *Garrys* Mod. This is a screenshot of Hakita asking Garry if he can use the G-Mod Construct map inside Ultrakill. G-Construct is Ultrakills sandbox map, its a 1-1 replica beside textures {textures are copyrighted} with permission of G-Construct. Eg: Hakita asking Garry if he can recreate G-Construct for UltraKills sandbox.
Fact #25 is double easter egg! 1. Reference to a movie in which the dog controlls everything 2. Dog has the colors of Annoying Dog, Undertale. In Undertale, Annoying Dog is Toby Fox himself, the creator of Undertale.
It appears Jakito was wearing an easter egg all along. It's wearing a black shirt, and on the black shirt you can see the edge of the cover art used for the songs created for Layer 7. Nice bit of foreshadowing.
9:39 If anybody has any trouble with this fight, remember that the fountain in front of the entrance is a safe spot, and that KITR can also deal a very large amount of damage to enemies.
ngl the amount of things this game has and the fact it only costs 25 dollars (or less on steam sale) is crazy, I think I would gladly pay like triple knowing the effort put in and cool stuff this game has
in 7-4 the big earthmover right in front of you dies too (the background earthmover also has an anime figure on its back if you have the fifteen minutes to fly there)
I've got one I haven't seen anyone ever talk about: if you no clip outside of the room in 5-3 where you get the blue skull there is a destructible button on top of the room. I didn't figure out what it does, if it even does anything, but I thought it was interesting
#12 makes sense to me. It would’ve taken a long-ass time for Gabriel’s punishment to finally happen, not even including the court that happened as well. Of course the elevators would need to be really really long.
doesn't the arm appear after like 5 minutes if V2 drops in a pit after the first fight? Also #40 i'm pretty sure is the owner of garry's mod giving permision to make the sandbox a copy of their map, but don't use the same textures because it's Valve property and not his.
today, before seeing this video, i decided to noclip around in sandbox and found that terminal, pretty sure its like ''can i use your map for the sandbox'' and garry responded with that, not 100% sure tho
25:45 The sandbox map is based on a map in a game called "Garry's Mod" Garry Newman (The creator of Garry's Mod) is allowing Hakita use of the map, but since in Garry's Mod, the map uses textures from games such as Half-Life 2 (owned by Valve), Hakita couldn't use those, even if he wanted to.
