This patient was injected with Lyft using cannula in the prezygomatic space and deep medial cheek fat. She has a pressure sensation in her cheek remaining after 3 weeks, which is improving. Ultrasound was performed in the area of the infraorbital foramen. The findings show HA along the periosteum and around the infraorbital foramen and artery. This is probably a very frequent occurrence and may not be the cause of the symptoms. The decision was to follow this patient, but if there is persistent pressure, I might consider a small injection of hyaluronidase. Injection in the deep medial cheek fat using a moving cannula of 25g or larger is my preferred technique for this area.
